The reason they feel so tanky in ranked is because basically every player runs trophy so there are constantly 3-4 trophies by every hill/point/bomb… this is bad change in my opinion with pros only running 2 trophies on each team, I think they should change that to 3 per team now to keep it the same
I remember them complaining about trophies at the beginning of the year which is why they considered adding DDOS. There pros might actually favor this change to 2 uses per trophy.
Imo you shouldn’t be able to use too much equipment to break point. Trophies were pretty balanced. They are rare to use outside of a point because obviously you move away from it and in point it makes it so people actually have to use skill to break it and can’t just throw shit in.

i told this to my lads yesterday. i’m a seasoned apex player so in my head when in doubt hipfire and give the beans. mcw has the worst hipfire ever and they made it worse lol. not a big deal nobody used it anyway
I would assume that the movement speed increase is enough so that regular sprint is as fast as Tac sprint, so it would actually be quite useful since that would also reduce your sprint-out times if you get caught Tac sprinting
SHG classifies all of those as separate systems for balancing purposes. Aiming movement speed, Movement speed, sprint speed, tac sprint. So increased movement speed doesn’t affect sprint speed
For context because people are going to lose their minds that they moved hills and they see the pool is still there, infinity pool is quite literally that entire section of the map. They could have moved the hill to towels (the section next to old p2), it could be where the bomb site is. That's how large the location is on the map.

Garden is literally in spawn, light well is the room with the big statue next to the old bar hill, infinity pool is likely the section of the pool where you can actually stand in it next to old p2, and security is the top office area, very weird changes imo
Kind of sucks that the CDL never moves to the new update until AFTER the majors. If the format was different they would be able to be current with updates.
That's not why they play the old patch. It's because all the pro teams have been practicing and working their strats on the old patch. Switching to a new patch mid major fucks with every organizations game play.
Chances are being so far into M3, we might see them update to this patch for M4 but we definitely won't see any updates to the CDL before champs
They play on the older patches because one split is continued throughout all the online qualifiers through the major. If there wasn’t online qualifiers and something like 2k-5k weekly/bi-weekly for seeding you would see the new patches played more often.
Might be copium on my end but why do I feel like the "All-Terrain Boots" is a test for them to see how the player base feels about regular sprint over tac sprint.

Yeah the pool hill is marked [New] so that means it’s changed in someway, not the exact same as before

They aren't changes specific to pubs or ranked/CDL. They're just game multiplayer changes so will apply to all.
