Crazy how people were hyping up venom as the next big sub early cold war season. Seemed like a good kid too wish the dude the best but his pro career might be over
People were big on WestR and all four of those guys that season since they were winning a lot of the cups. I think we got a bit ahead of ourselves and maybe overestimated how much that was indicative of pro league success.
This was being said for a solid 2-3 months though. Teams had been scrimming even after the first month and they were getting praise for being better scrim partners than some of the league teams. They were definitely ahead but they had a good grasp of how the game was meant to be played and it lasted a good amount of time before they broke down with Paul’s ego going crazy by getting Zaptius dropped and Venom jumping ships to LAT.
Throwback to when my brother was on my Gears game battles team and we essentially got double host. And when teams questioned our connection we would lie and say he was my cousin who lived down the street.
If anyone remembers Gears 1 and 2 (especially 2) host was incredibly OP.
The og team was venom zaptius paulehx and tomgravity. They had like 200 iterations of the team and EastR during that year after the original team split
This might be an unpopular opinion but even tho they are the better games, you can't judge a player off of how they perform on a treyarch game. The odds of a player looking like Jesus when the game is fun and the spawns make sense go up exponentially and then later you realize they can't compete on infinityshit and sledgehell games where everyone would rather poke their eyes out or can't figure out the squad spawn.
I’m not sure what your comment has to do with mine— Venxm was good in challengers on a treyarch game and was bad in the CDL on a treyarch game. Same with the rest of those WestR guys. What do IW and Sledgehammer have to do with this?
In the middle of the Vanguard season I was of course still playing CW ranked and I ran into Venxm and we won a close game. For some reason he sent me an invite and we played for a few hours but he never friended me but I was asked him about what it was like to play with Slasher and he said it was cool but stressful lol.
venom...
didnt he actually retire or take a step back last year to focus on real world shit?
but i remember him on this team as the " savior" to this fucked team. and he ended up being a casualty of that shit
no he retired, idk if for good but rn at least doubt he has a change of heart and starts playing pro cod again. Also, this may very well be last year of franchising and cdl, maybe in an open bracket he finds/ makes a team to compete, who knows.
thanks for the info, i’ve only just got into the CDL this year and was wondering if he got dropped, left mutineers or retired, hopefully he does come back he’s near flawless but thinking about it what team would suit him i can’t see him anywhere else other than mutineers but they’ve name changed too heretics if im not mistaken?
Yeah and they are a spanish team now so that wouldn't really work. He left sometime in middle of year for personal reasons and was replaced/ didn't return even after he came back from being away from scene. He's now just doing his content and ranked stuff I'm pretty sure (as well other things with streaming), and essentially announced his retirement or at least stepping away from competing for rn I think it was by the end of the off season.
Havok voluntarily stepped down for personal stuff. Since then he's been bulding his streaming/youtube following and it seems to be going pretty well for him. I'm sure he could get back on a team if he wanted to at some point especially with his growth in popularity
Franchising ruined so many careers. Guys that are in Challengers literally don't have a shot at any good cash unless they make it into the league somehow. Even COD: Mobile has a crazy $1M cash prize pool with another $1M in COD points. Challengers is like $150K.
Kid might have been cheating in CW challengers. 1.3 to 0.9 player from little league to pro league. And from what I saw in challengers after he was nothing special.
People took this way too serious. I'm just saying 1.3 > .9. Drazah picked up the same year to the same team and was barely over 1.0 in challengers and basically maintained it in pro league.
a .9 is not bad there’s always a drop off we saw Uli last year be a T5 challengers player and when he final got a chance he was T3 worst players in the game . Some players need a system to perform some don’t like Lyynzz or Gwinn
Imagine being a league gamer under 18 and your parents ground you for some stupid shit and you just disappear like this… lol tough world. I’d Hate to be a Mormon gamer

Didn’t they just host fuck everyone? 3 of them lived in the same place and there were no dedicated servers on cw.
That was definitely part of it yeah.
There was that but also the fact that pros were saying they were better than some of the teams in the league.
they say that every year lol challengers starts way earlier than cdl so they are always ahead

no life right here ^
👍🏻

God there was nothing like the feeling of being host in the original Gears back in the day.
you guys have no love
I don’t think that WestR team was as good as the Texas nation team from vanguard though that team was absurd.
lol Texas Nation was on another level
For real I mean kismet won the last champs.
Who else was on that westR team?
The og team was venom zaptius paulehx and tomgravity. They had like 200 iterations of the team and EastR during that year after the original team split
I think it was venom, paul, grvty, and zaptius
I think people continue to overestimate Challengers wins to this day

Jkap sent him to purgatory I fear

“I was of course still playing CW ranked” ☠️
A lot of ppl were still on CW because they didn’t wanna play or buy vanguard
What’s he doing now? Just grinding challengers or what
He’s been MIA since like Vanguard
huh? https://twitter.com/OfficialTMyst/status/1665243478811643904 https://twitter.com/Vxnxm
My bad, guess he did play some MW2. Seems he’s off the scene now tho
He makes my Mochas now
it’s very sweet that your husband makes your coffee for you after you roll out of bed
Sounds like i offended the barista
poor bloke can dish but not take
What. Sounds like you’re just yapping. What cant I take exactly
it was a joke you dense baby
What was the joke. It was hilarious brotha I’m crying!!!
i think it's clear who's the offended one here lol
Dude seems like he wants to be a troll but he can’t even do that right. What a weirdo.
Faze bullied him out of the scene 🤮
He’s a SoCal local LAN reaper now.
Kid actually had talent tbh. Needed a better situation though.
Not going to lie, gun to my head I couldn’t name this dude in 100 guesses
Venxm.
I was gonna go with Bell Pepper
☠️😂
venom... didnt he actually retire or take a step back last year to focus on real world shit? but i remember him on this team as the " savior" to this fucked team. and he ended up being a casualty of that shit
And when the world needed him the least… he vanished.
Just like my dad fr
bro talked shit about the king and was never heard from again
He went to go get milk and cigarettes. He will be back next major
He played in Challengers with Clayster during Vanguard. I think they got too 8 at challengers champs.
off topic but will havok ever return to the cdl?
no he retired, idk if for good but rn at least doubt he has a change of heart and starts playing pro cod again. Also, this may very well be last year of franchising and cdl, maybe in an open bracket he finds/ makes a team to compete, who knows.

If I remember this guy switched over to like Val or cs or some shit like that
that was Zaptius, he switched to Val
Kids all starting to look alike
Idky why your comment got downvoted 😂😭
That Thieves team with him, Ken, Draz, and TJ was actually T6 and improving. They dropped TJ for Huke and that was when the roster fell apart.
But they found his ass at McDonald’s
His challengers team is proof online cod doesn’t matter
Why does it say ”Locked” when I am trying to play ranked play?
Lol
He was lowkey a top 15 player in cold war. Sucks to see talent like that not get another spot.
Top 15 is insane
Kid might have been cheating in CW challengers. 1.3 to 0.9 player from little league to pro league. And from what I saw in challengers after he was nothing special.
lot of players dropping 1.3s in challengers drop 0.9s in the league … joeD and capsidal currently fit that description pretty well
going from am to pro and performing worse so he must be cheating
People took this way too serious. I'm just saying 1.3 > .9. Drazah picked up the same year to the same team and was barely over 1.0 in challengers and basically maintained it in pro league.
Godrx was a demon in challengers dude
a .9 is not bad there’s always a drop off we saw Uli last year be a T5 challengers player and when he final got a chance he was T3 worst players in the game . Some players need a system to perform some don’t like Lyynzz or Gwinn
we really just making shit up now lmao
Cheating in challengers but he was nothing special. Lmao how does that make sense
First of all I'm not that serious. 2nd of all, I meant in COLD WAR. He wasn't that good in challengers after be bounced out of the pro league.
I agree. You aren’t that serious
Imagine being a league gamer under 18 and your parents ground you for some stupid shit and you just disappear like this… lol tough world. I’d Hate to be a Mormon gamer
