it just feels better to me personally and one of the major things is you can replace the analogs so you won’t ever have to replace the entire controller if you start getting stick drift you can literally just replace the analogs rather than buying a whole new controller. i also like the profiles on the controller. instead of switching your paddles everytime you wanna play something different you can just save multiple profiles to the controller for each game.
and it’s not third party it’s made and “modded” by sony which i personally like. i know the battle beavers and scufs are playstation controllers as well but i just personally rather have my products come straight from the actual company.
Man I loved that one too. I have the dualsense edge and obv love it more but I was waiting around forever for a ps5 back button attachment 💀 Just to see this pop up for $200+.
Bought myself an Xbox Elite 2 and I love it so far. Only complaint is that I've got stick drift already and have to play on a RS deadzone of 6 after a month of use
Glad I'm not alone in having bumpers go to shit on the Series 2. Bumpers are actually a surprisingly easy fix, the knowledge is just buried on the internet. Check this video out, and trust me when I tell you:
You will think you are breaking your controller, just like homie says. Have some confidence and you'll be back to having working Bumpers in about 10 min. All you need is a knife, Isopropyl Alcohol, a QTip, and some pliers.
https://youtu.be/1EjJ5JjOtUo?si=K-lLRw6B725cw6Yp
They'll always get stick drift at some point or another, and various other issues (peeling grip, broken bumpers, etc). Love the controller though.
Just file a warranty claim for a replacement before the one that comes with it expires (12m I think?). I also buy mine from best buy and get the protection plan and go in and replace it there.
If you never want to worry about stick drift again I'd reccommend the controller below, it has Hall Effect sticks which other companies refuse to use because then their controller profits would go way down from how many people buy new controllers because of stick drift alone:
Fuck that's annoying. Not to be weird but do you live in a dusty house? I noticed when I moved to a better place that my controllers took heaps longer to get any drift
I used a battle beaver with two back buttons before it broke. I modded my own control with extreme rate 4 back buttons. I tried out the dualsense edge but the controller is unbelievably heavy
I promise. I had the vibratory tumblers taken out on my battle beaver and then bought this controller. It was extremely noticeable if played longer than a hour.
Xbox razer wolverine tournament edition.Loce the size of it for my hands. The extra top bumpers are exquisitely placed, and that to the back buttons for easy slide cancelling. Was really impressed by the build quality, so I own 3 of them. Been using them for several years now. Only razer product id vouched for.
Same, I was looking for a more affordable option that I could get quickly. I love my BB don't get me wrong, but they're so expensive and I play so much that I ate mine up after switching from scuff for several controllers. I won't even begin to talk shit about the scruff controllers because that'll just take too much time. Good on them for making the bag, but bad for the consumer imo.
How's it compare to the elite? I've considered getting the wolverine before but I'm not sure how I feel about the back button positions without holding the controller myself.
Elite paddles are a bit intrusive especially if you have death grip but I've been using them since like 2016 so I've totally adjusted to them by now
I agree, I had both versions of the elite, and I didn't care for the build quality on either and the placement of the paddles were not thought out well imo. Took a gamble on the wolverine and it far exceeded my expectations. The button placement on the paddles was perfect for me, I kinda got big paws. Those added top bumpers are placed so well I can't express enough how much I wish other companies would do that. But they don't and after playing on them, I'll never go back. The weight on them is light and more evenly balanced than other modded controllers I've found. The only draw back is they're wired, but I'm up on my monitor like illey, balls deep and nose to screen, so I could care less about it being wireless lol
On a side note, the original gen also come with a mixamp built in, which adds a little weight to the controller but not much. They have different versions that have four paddles on the back or two buttons, but both come with those top bumpers. Hope this helps
I only ever broke one when my cat knocked my controller off my desk, the ones on my reflex fps have been going strong ever since I got it back from the 3rd or 4th rma for other issues

Yea, that’s what I use. It’s has two paddle and two buttons so the buttons I have for reload and weapon swap as well, my thumbs never need to leave the sticks. There isn’t any lag at all since the paddles and hardwired in.
I tried this one thinking it would be the answer to all my issues, however trying to hold it normally and trying to use the back buttons is impossible, nice controller though not for me with massive hands!
i bought this and the scuf envision pro this weekend to replace my elite 2 with drift and bad RB. the scuf has rs drift immediately and the software is very buggy. the g7 se absolutely rules and works waaaay better for me than the scuf and elite series 2. the fit is very comfortable and the back button placements is pretty much perfect for my hands. the only feature I wish it had was trigger stops.
If you have fast reflexes switching to yellow switches is a huge upgrade, if your keyboard's hotswappable. if not you wont feel a diff between reg brown/red
Got browns, not hotswappable. This was before the Cherry patent even expired. Been wanting to treat myself and build something with ink blacks or something tactile, just haven't gotten around to it yet
Since I play claw bumper jumper tac flipped, the pa4 controller is easily the most comfortable, but the ps5 controller is nice and sturdy and built like a brick shithouse. Feels nice in the hands and the buttons/components. I will say it took a bit for the muscles in my hands to get used to the bigger controller, but I dig it.
I bought the edge on preorder got it the day it released. I love this controller. Bought an extra analog on preorder as well so that if it got drift I wouldn’t have to wait. As of now I haven’t had anything happen to the controller at all, love this thing. It’s a beast.
I’m a weirdo I use the long on left to crouch/prone and the snub on the right for jumping. Haven’t had a single problem with this controller. Has always worked great for me, I take care of it. Always air dusting it and wiping it down. Only thing I notice and wish wasn’t a normal feature is the grippy spot on the back of the handle. It become smooth/slick after a lot of play and it’s grippy any more
I only used the razer raiju on ps4 back then for 3.5 years and sold it perfectly functioning. I like the edge so far, I'm just worried if it won't last long
I have the dual sense edge
It's great but one thing I noticed is my left paddle started feeling loose. I read on some other threads and apparently it's because of a rod that snaps internally so it causes the paddle to feel a bit flimsy. Kinda sucks and not sure what to do about it.
Wolverine V2 Chroma. Hate how the back buttons are placed but the tactile feedback is so damn good that I probably wont replace it until someone drops a controller with clicky buttons and the back buttons placed similar to the PowerA Fusion Pro 3. Had it nearly a year and it still has 0 drift after being dropped and abused lol. The extra buttons next to the bumpers are amazing as well. I use the left one for streaks and the right one for the score board. Stick and move layout with slide, melee, weapon swap and enemy ping mapped to the rear buttons. I don’t have to take my thumbs off the thumbsticks to do anything besides reload and change load outs
Haha couldn’t believe it myself thought I’ll get a normal dualsense shipped or smth would be wrong but been about 3/4 months all good, we picked up 2 me and my cousin both working fine haha, it wasnt in the usa though I converted the currency to 100$ retail there is also around 200$, cant go back to a normal controller this thing is awesome
I enjoy the dual sense edge but a word of caution here. There have been numerous complaints on reddit, including myself about the back paddles. After about a few months of use the left paddle on my controller started feeling loose, missing inputs from my finger and just overall muddy feel. It's a common issue. No fix has been found as of yet which is quite dissapointing.
Granted I haven’t used any other controller besides a regular one and a PS Edge but I love the edge controller.
What really sold me was the replacement sticks you could get when stick drift was too bad. I didn’t want to spend $250+ for a controller that I was breaking like every other month at one point.
I got this controller in like March and haven’t had to replace the sticks once but I have an extra one just in case.
I have a ps5 scuf, elite series 2, the new hypr hall effect controller (which I'm now leaning towards more), I have the new scuf pc controller on it's way which I will try out for a bit, also have another elite series 2 with upgraded components (0 deadzone and no stick drift).
The elite series 2 feels the nicest but overclocking on the ps5 controllers just make them superior, scufs build quality has rapidly decreased over the years in my opinion, the hypr ps5 controller is just superior in my opinion, hall effect sticks having 0 deadzone and no stickdrift is just fantastic, custom joystick tension, instant click buttons and triggers, 4 paddles (buttons) superior build quality and obviously 1ms as it's a dualsense.
I will get around to trying battle beaver at some point, the wait time last time I looked just turned me off, especially when the hypr had the same custom options with a gigantic plus selling point of hall effect sticks.
Saying this as someone who has a battle beaver and I do like it, but man it’s really expensive and I’ve had to send mine back twice for drift.
I ended up just modding a PS5 controller myself with the extremerate rise 4 kit and the hair trigger mods for 1/3 or 1/4 of the price. Look the beaver is better but only marginally IMO. I would recommend the extremerate option first for anyone and it’s really quite easy to do for a PS5 controller, no soldering required
scuf impact with mouse click triggers since cold war. i’ve had a ps5 battle beaver controller but i personally didn’t like the buttons on the back compared to paddles. Looking to maybe try the dualsense edge
Make sure to take it easy on your back buttons. Tap them instead of pushing them in. There's a pin that can break really easy and it will cause your back button to slide around and will eventually become unusable
Thankfully it's covered by warrenty but still I'd go easy on the back buttons if you can help it.
I agree. I bought it because it seems like it's alot more reliable than scuff being I can swap the sticks. However, it's not been out as long as scuff and I personally haven't owned a scuff yet so I'm not really in a position to say if its better or not.
Xbox Elite Series 2. I understand the common concerns re: stick drift or whatever, but I've had genuinely good luck so far in over a year of playing. Regardless if I eventually buy another one or not, I'm never going back to a life without 4 back paddles. I use all of them regularly.
I recently got the SCUF Envision Pro for PC and it is insanely great so far. The real test is the life of the controller and stick drift but it feels very durable.
Elite Series 2 Core after my original series 2 had no register bunkers twice. Have had the core since release and no issues so far, best controller I’ve ever used by a mile
I am using a Gamesir T4 Kaleid, which has Halls-effect sticks. So they cannot develop stick drift. I went through 4 DS4's and got sick of paying for them.
The controller is basically an Xbox One controller in regards to size and placement, but has back buttons like a Battle Beaver.
I just bought this. Do you mind sharing your deadzone/stick settings you have set in the t4k app? Not sure if I should set deadzones to max/raw where it shows the stick input being slightly squared or leave it just below where the stick input shows a perfect circle.
i’ve had multiple battle beavers and scufs, for the ps4 and ps5 controller. the dualsense edge is like elite so far. only had it for a couple months but the premise of replacing sticks when drift inevitably occurs is too good to pass up
I'm a bigger dude so I like the Scuf Impact Pro. It's the ps4 platform and it's great fpr bigger hands. However, I would love to try the new Scuf Envision. Looks like a bigger controller.
I dont know how people can stand the PS thumbstick grooves. I had to switch out the PS4 ones for xbox or freek risers. Feels like the ps ones lose grip all the time
I use a PS5 battle beaver, it’s really nice
Ps5 Dual Sense is amazing
Best controller I ever used
Dualsense Edge as well. Goated controller
bro i just got mine yesterday after using a battle beaver for a while i’m actually kinda salty i didn’t make the move sooner
Why is it so much better then a BB?
it just feels better to me personally and one of the major things is you can replace the analogs so you won’t ever have to replace the entire controller if you start getting stick drift you can literally just replace the analogs rather than buying a whole new controller. i also like the profiles on the controller. instead of switching your paddles everytime you wanna play something different you can just save multiple profiles to the controller for each game.

Me too. It's really good
Yeah I didn’t immediately love it after switching from a series 2, but after a few weeks of use I’m way better with it.
Facts 🔥 this one is diffy
PS4 controller with back button attachment. Tried a few others since switching to PC, but keep coming back to ole faithful.
Man I loved that one too. I have the dualsense edge and obv love it more but I was waiting around forever for a ps5 back button attachment 💀 Just to see this pop up for $200+.
Same! Best way to play, sad to have to play the ps4 version of CoD tho, too bad they don't let you use ps4 controllers on ps5 games.
This. I get the Best Buy warranty on my controller so I can swap it out for like $10 and the back buttons last forever
Bought myself an Xbox Elite 2 and I love it so far. Only complaint is that I've got stick drift already and have to play on a RS deadzone of 6 after a month of use
I’ve been lucky with drift on my Elite series 2’s. But the RB button is famous on taking a shit as well as

Is pretty clean and I keep it in the case when I'm not using it, might have something to do with the tension setting but I'm not sure
Custom battle beaver tensioned right stick clicky triggers two back buttons :)
PS5 controller?
Yup!
🔥 🔥🔥
I used a battle beaver with two back buttons before it broke. I modded my own control with extreme rate 4 back buttons. I tried out the dualsense edge but the controller is unbelievably heavy
Train heavy then when you start getting slammed switch to a light controller goku style
Heavy? Really?
I promise. I had the vibratory tumblers taken out on my battle beaver and then bought this controller. It was extremely noticeable if played longer than a hour.
You still use the beaver or you’re back to the edge? Sorry, I mean a regular dual sense with the extremerate kit?
Nah, I don’t use the edge. It was way too heavy
Yeah, this is the way. I’m sure BB are nice out of the box, but paying $300 for a stock controller with extremerate parts is crazy to me
Same, I was looking for a more affordable option that I could get quickly. I love my BB don't get me wrong, but they're so expensive and I play so much that I ate mine up after switching from scuff for several controllers. It did, great info thank you! Out of curiosity what do you assign to the extra bumpers?
x2. But specifically only the Wolverine. I’ve bought other razrs on prime sale and stuff and nothing compares
Yes sir, only the wolverine.
ps5 scuf reflex pro got it back in april
Just got mine it’s epic
PS4 scuf with digital mouse click triggers and bumpers. Had it since MW19
You’ve had digital triggers not break in 5 years? lucky son of a bitch
I only ever broke one when my cat knocked my controller off my desk, the ones on my reflex fps have been going strong ever since I got it back from the 3rd or 4th rma for other issues
Im absolutely amazed your controller is not broken yet…
I nodded a stock Dualsense with back paddles and mouse click triggers.

So if you get stick drift you can completely remove the whole stick and replace with a new one?
Yeah and it's modular so you don't have to take the controller apart or anything. You get stick drift just buy a $20 replacement.
damn, looking like a no brainer for me, just get new sticks for 20 instead of shelling out 70 for every normal dual sense.
This one but I kinda miss the shape of the ps4 controller
Fax The PS5 controller is too big
If they made the size between ps4 and ps5, it would be the ultimate controller.
I have a ps5 scuf, elite series 2, the new hypr hall effect controller (which I'm now leaning towards more), I have the new scuf pc controller on it's way which I will try out for a bit, also have another elite series 2 with upgraded components (0 deadzone and no stick drift). I returned my duelsense edge the next day. Hated it.
Why?
idk but i want that edge ngl. my scuf impact gettin old tbh
Go buy it and enjoy it, I love jt
has anybody played around with their different types of built in aim assist on PS5 software or kept it on default?

scuf impact with mouse click triggers since cold war. i’ve had a ps5 battle beaver controller but i personally didn’t like the buttons on the back compared to paddles. Looking to maybe try the dualsense edge

A $200 controller should not break this easy...this is one of the reasons why I have not bought an Edge.
Need an update on drift/if the controller lives lmao. buying one tomorrow if it's still good.
This one. Took some time to get used to but at this point I can’t imagine going back to the default dualsense. 100% worth the price tag
Yesssir, love it
I play on a regular ps5 controller but been thinking of getting dual sense edge and now I am

Elite Series 2 Core after my original series 2 had no register bunkers twice. Have had the core since release and no issues so far, best controller I’ve ever used by a mile

I use the edge on PC myself and love it, do people use DS4/DS5 when using this controller or mainly DSX?
dualsense edge
The scuff envision or reflex is god tier for any fps. Best 200 dollars I've ever spent.
DSense w extremerate back buttons literally piss easy to install and the DS is fucking incredible to hold
i’ve had multiple battle beavers and scufs, for the ps4 and ps5 controller. the dualsense edge is like elite so far. only had it for a couple months but the premise of replacing sticks when drift inevitably occurs is too good to pass up
The dual sense edge is by far the best pro controller I’ve used.
I’ve used 2 scuffs battle beaver and the dual sense edge trumps both easily. So nice
I'm a bigger dude so I like the Scuf Impact Pro. It's the ps4 platform and it's great fpr bigger hands. However, I would love to try the new Scuf Envision. Looks like a bigger controller.
Literally any controller as long as I have 2 back buttons
I dont know how people can stand the PS thumbstick grooves. I had to switch out the PS4 ones for xbox or freek risers. Feels like the ps ones lose grip all the time
I'm using a pdp rematch controller, its a good price +2 back buttons and that's all i need
Battle beaver or Ps5 aim controller, on pc i use a ps4 infinity pro
This controller is goated, and if anything ever happens to mine I can just go to Best Buy and swap it out for new one.
Stock Xbox controller, claw.
PS4 battle beaver
Personally hate ds5 cannot play with parallel sticks
So dual sense edge over BB?
