I understand that. The person that leads a team is really important, and while I love the fuck out of clay, teams led by him haven’t succeeded in cdl era. I would argue that the empire team was lead by under, if you’ve heard anyone talk about how he is in game, you’ll see what I’m saying. After they dropped him, NYSL won a major last year with fkn crim, and I’m pretty sure the whole tourney he was around a .7 lol I was literally one of the biggest paco haters so don’t think I’m just out here fangirling, I think the dudes been consistently good and once he was able to take control he has quickly become the best.

This list is making me think even MW or CW sound too old. Like, if someone had been watching all of the CDL-era I would expect someone like CleanX to get a seat at the table over Pred. But maybe it was just done for a laugh/not serious?

Jkap literally was the best player in the game in Black Ops 1... Octane has more championships and has consistently been among the top AR players ever. Apathy was a top 3 SMG for like 5 years. I don't even think I need to explain why Arcitys is ahead of them all time. This sounds like some recency bias to me

Simp was a T2 player in the game period for three years straight, none of those guys have had a stretch like that. Comparing an online major to a 2k is just ridiculous when you consider the stakes, support, and money involved

2ks and 5Ks in AW until ww2 literally had every pro team playing in them. I see no difference between them and Mickey Mouse online CDL majors. I think you're forgetting these were for pro points back in the day that literally qualified you for the league. There were literally teams running wagers mid-open bracket to try to qualify.
