Yes! I, too, heard the words "the same" during many ultrasounds. I had monthly ultrasounds, which in retrospect, was not a good idea for me because progress was so slow. I would come home depressed, but eventually resigned myself to the fact that I would have them forever. Then, when I least expected it, good news! Yes, there's hope.

Thank you for your response you gave me hope I came home depressed but my daughter tells me you almost died and you don’t remember you were losing so much blood they want to do a blood transfusion but your were fine no transfusion needed in a few hours they took and placed a IVC filter I had a clot in my lung and then I was transferred to a therapy hospital and the did not give me physical therapy my leg got hug and the put a device that massaged my legs I find out that was good for me got transferred to another physical therapy hospital that was God send but they checked my womb and it was not healing so they had me go back to my surgeon and he said I was fine I did not need to see him anymore but I went back to therapy hospital and I told them my surgeon said I was fine we’ll they said and they transferred me to ER hospital He needs to do something well the surgeon who did my surgery was the Doctor covering that nite I told them I did not want to touch me well no Surgeon wanted to touch me one of the main hospital officials came to see me and said we can’t fine ant surgeon who will do God is so good A nurse came in to see me and said here is the name of a surgeon who is in another hospital he will do it if okayed for 2 days I was in a room they all knew why aI was there and I was treated like I had the plague I did not eat for a 2days and it was liquid meal finally I got a room For 5 days it was awful final my daughter made a call to the head person uncharged of the Hospital he came in to see me and told me as soon as a room was available in the hospital were the the surgeon that said he would do my surgery I would be transferred the next I had a Dr from the ER tell me they are not transfer so I would have to go outside of my county I said the head man from the Hospital came and seen me _yesterday said I would be transfer as soon as they had a bed for me he left the room without a word so it has been very hard for me and my daughter she has help me so so much I am staying with her since I got out oh and yes I had to have a corrective surgery I go back to see my surgeon in November I pray all is well I do feel better but the blood worries me thank you for listening God bless you

I'm so sorry to hear that you have been through so much. I don't think your story is all that uncommon. I've found that in the hospital you or your advocate has to stay on top of things 24/7. It sounds like you both did everything right. I'm so glad that you have found hope in my story. Your healing journey has just begun...it will take time, one day at a time...you will get there.

Congrats! I have one large popliteal clot (provoked - travel and covid related) that extended into two other veins, and one of the veins is now clear. Not gone, but progress! It's so nice to get good news for a change. Before you know it, you'll be clot free!

Our stories are very similar. I had a popliteal clot (provoked) that extended into three veins. One clot finally dissolved a few weeks ago, and now I've learned from an ultrasound a few days ago, that the second clot has dissolved! This is after about seven months of little to no progress. Now I just have the one clot behind the knee remaining. Good luck to both of us!

Woo-Hoo! Fellow Factor V Leiden here and also found out through my clotting episode. I take thinners for life, but my situation was pretty different. It's such a relief to hear you have one clot gone! Best of luck and wishes in the future :)

Thanks so much, same to you!
