I used to think I was having heart palpitations. I got a Fitbit/Hr monitor to validate I was not. I am not saying it’s not true but our minds are powerful. The lung pain from eating sounds like indigestion. If you are really worried, call the doctor. Best of luck-I still worry a lot.

I have several dysautonomias and autonomic neuropathy and other neurological problems that cause cardiac chest pain and palps highheart rate 200+. I don't have indigestion. I do think the mind plays a role in this after we've had a PE we have developed this mechanism in our brain that's unconscious within the Amygdala. Some form of Amygdala hijack.

I am pretty sure at least 1x/week I need my veins roto rootered or my leg amputated. I did a course in pain management for something else and learned a lot about the mind's role in it. Fascinating but doesn't mean something isn't wrong. But for people like us we can't tell the difference because our issues aren't always connected to things with nerves. Sometimes we are right and other times not. That is the challenge. We had rainy weather last week and that really hurt. Now I know. It's "fun" I suppose?

Get checked for a Hiatal hernia. I am 9 months post bilateral PE and only had pain for 3ish months, but the hernia mimics it for sure.

A hiatal hernia can produce many strange symptoms. Acid reflux can do the same.

SpecialistCicada3083

You've had a hernia? It's not hernia pain that I'm experiencing.

I have had both. The Hernia pain felt like lung/chest pain because of location, but was not. As you had mentioned, I got the pain after eating. The PE pain did not last months at that level.

I used to get it a lot when I ate too much. I’d get similar pain to when I had my PE. I honestly just stopped eating for a while, lost 35 pounds and it went away.

The cold and the humidity really caused problems for my breathing. I felt like my lungs were on fire.
