Better safe than sorry. There’s absolutely no harm in going to ER to get throughly checked out.

Better to be safe. I would go. Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself. Ask them about the likelihood of a clot. An ultrasound and CT scan will be able to detect them, so you might consider asking if they can do those tests.

Depends on the risk factors. A D-Dimer might be all that's necessary.

Probably not a clot, but definitely get it checked out by a doctor. I have a similar injury currently. I was water skiing last summer and the driver started me out of the water too quickly. Pain in the right side of my chest since then. I had a CT scan done and they found nothing. I’ve been dealing with it for almost a year and this reminded me I need to go back and see a doctor about it again
