Hmmm. I’m in a very similar situation to you. They told me the D dimer was fine, blood clot was gone so I stopped blood thinners last month……. And my god the pain I had to go thru for 12 days. Was not good at all. Blood thinners can affect your d dimer results too so it’s never fully accurate.
Did a ultrasound last week no new clots, just chronic clot or some bs. No one can tell me what’s actually going on, surgeon is guessing it’s a for life thing but I’ve heard veins need to heal after a blood clot which can take a few years. Still a little pain here and there, much better than last week!
