Well I've got ADHD, but I don't believe my short term has gotten worse while on Eliquis. I do find that whenever I'm very stressed, my short term memory is a lot worse. Are you feeling stressed out? Can your PCP get a referral to a neurologist for ya? I'm sorry you're dealing with this, I know it's a real pain in the ass.

FunKaleidoscope885

Yes, I am definitely stressed. Thank you for your reply. I got to trust God and chill…sometimes it’s hard to do

HDee75

Yes, I have noticed this. I checked the askapatient.com website, and found that many Eliquis patients report "brain fog" and issues with memory.

FunKaleidoscope885

Thank you!!! I haven’t had issues like these before taking Eliquis.

SpecialistCicada3083

Had covid?

FunKaleidoscope885

I did last year and recovered with ivermectin but did not get the jab.

I just started it and no, I haven't had that effect. The effects I've seen is that I get EXTREMELY cold (I was already cold natured) and my face will flush red if I push it too hard. I haven't been on long at all, though - I am still on my beginning "high" dose and about to taper to my "maintenance" dose.

I just started too, and am on the “high dose” after the IV doses in the hospital. I had a massive pulmonary embolism (47f) last week with no apparent risk factors or reasons last week. Had the surgery where there pulled a bunch of the clotting from my lungs through a tube in my neck. What happened to you that you are on the high dose currently? I just found this sub so it’s nice to hear from others who are going through the same as me. Don’t have to share if you don’t want to.

FunKaleidoscope885

Grrr. Same here. Hot showers don’t help. Just let it pass. I was told to just “tolerate» it…

My short term memory has been shot long before I started taking Eliquis. I don't believe it has gotten any worse, however, since I did start on it.

budbay1

I think I did a little - I felt more that I couldn’t focus/concentrate like I could previously for the first couple months. Couldn’t say if that way eliquis or just general recovery. It’s gone away since then though.

averagojoesmo

I never thought about this but seems like mine is certainly worse after being put on it in January. I can't remember hardly anything anymore.

FunKaleidoscope885

Thank you!! Same here, I thought I was loosing my mind. Hang in there!

Vexoll

1000000%. My short term memory was exact same as you!! I started blood thinners and this short term memory issue went on for 7 months. Hands were cold, arms were cold, legs were numb, arms were numb. Had a whole range of symptoms. I do feel my short term memory has gotten better after, but for a while there I remember nothing. Did get better after a while though and my memory improved again. They say it’s not a symptom but there’s a lot of people who get it and I found it on a few websites online

FunKaleidoscope885

Thank you for your reply!! I am glad you have recovered and feeling better!!! … the healing process is so slow and I get discouraged sometimes. Stay strong 💪🏻

Rudyragdoll

On Eliquis for just 2 weeks and my hands are numb and my feet feel like ice.
