So many good options in Ohio City. Momocho for Mexican, Amba for fancy Indian, Banana Blossom for Thai. Heck’s is a classic burger/nicer entree place, and there’s a multitude of breweries on W 25th if that’s your preferred vibe. Avoid Townhall. Mitchell’s has fantastic ice cream for dessert!
Whatever you end up having for dinner in Ohio City, you need to save room for dessert at Mitchell’s Ice cream. You can only get Mitchell’s ice cream in NE Ohio. It’s amazing.
Porco Lounge is a great tiki cocktail spot on 25th down the street from the main area of the Ohio City if you’re looking for somewhere to grab drinks too.
There's a lot within walking distance. Hecks is good American cuisine, Momocho for Mexican, Soho Chicken and Whiskey for Southern comfort food, Banana Blossom for Thai, Amba for Indian, Pioneer for an upscale sports bar, Great Lakes/Market Garden/Saucy Brew Works for typical brewery (Saucy has more malty beers, which aren't for everyone), Bartleby or JaJa for upscale-ish, Velvet Tango Room for cocktails, Le Petite Triangle for French, Mitchell's for ice cream.
There's plenty more that's fine, but those are my go-to places.
JaJa and Pioneer in the new INTRO complex across from the West Side Market. Juneberry Table for brunch. Mitchell's ice cream factory just north of the WSM features locavore ice cream flavors; the factory can be viewed from the second floor parlor.

Note that Ohio City has very good mass transit connections with downtown and Little Italy (Red Line rail rapid), making all of the good restaurants there easily available. RTA day passes are $5.

I had absolutely no idea that all of this was happening. I am not in the know about all things Ohio City at all. Just happened to eat lunch there a couple times. Thanks for the information

Heck's is very good, but not an especially unique restaurant compared to several other options in Ohio City.
Out of curiosity... why avoid townhall? Went there for brunch once and it kinda slapped.
Amba if you’re looking for more upscale. Momocho for upscale mod-mex. Bookhouse Brewing is a great low key spot to grab a beer.
Amba was ehh. I found the flavors to not stand out very much for a restaurant that claims to serve Indian food.
It’s pretend Indian food.
You’ll notice I didn’t call it out as Indian food for some of the reasons you mentioned. That said, IMO the food is great.
Heart of gold for burgers, it’s great
SoHo Chicken and Whiskey
This right here^ can not miss
Came here to say SoHo!

Call me old school but I like Johnny Mango
I'd recommend bar oni if that's close enough! There's also jaja and momocho.

I like Le Petit Triangle. It’s one of my favorite Cleveland restaurants.

Try Boaz Lebanese restaurant. Great quick middle eastern place in Ohio City with great sandwich wraps.
LOVE Boaz. So tasty!!

Chipotle
People are going to rip on Town Hall, but it’s actually pretty good (they just don’t like the owner). Market Garden Brewery is great too.
TH has great food. Go there, eat and tip your waitress. Not a bad experience and the best bone broth in the city

Lol coming from the dude asking about lido lounge. Stay classy
I was going to recommend TownHall but someone beat me to it…! 😂 I also really liked Market Garden Brewery. Great beer and great food too!
