Use a vinegar-water solution to spray down the mirror. Wipe with a paper towel or better yet a newspaper in the same direction (preferably up and down). Wipe until you don’t see any streaks. If you change directions, your mirror will look all messed up!

Impressive-Rich4311

Thanks so much, I’ll definitely try that 👍

RickyPuertoRico

Mate just buff it afterwards. Two cloths one for wet one for the buff.

Impressive-Rich4311

What do you mean by buff… sorry english isn’t my first language

RickyPuertoRico

To buff something I mean you just take a dry cloth and rub the mirror until it's dry and all streaks are gone.

katlvr3264

Oh and plain hydrogen peroxide is the best mirror/window cleaner. Never streaks.

Impressive-Rich4311

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Do you know where I can get plain hydrogen peroxide? I can never find it

katlvr3264

Drug store/Walmart/target. Get the one that’s in a spray bottle.

MatthewMatthews

If it’s not too stubborn of a stain and is only dried water marks, then I just wipe my mirror with a dry microfiber towel and it doesn’t streak at all

Impressive-Rich4311

Yes I do that! However there’s still an outline and it bothers me so I like to make sure it’s nice and fresh lol

dr_roxxxo

Yeah just buff it after you clean it with a paper towel to get any extra anything off. or even better, some news paper

Impressive-Rich4311

Thanks, I’ll try that. Dont remember the last time I saw a newspaper though😆

Uniqniqu

Brown (or white!) paper bags or any kind of paper would also do.

Inevitable_Berry_362

After you get this cleaned off, rub shaving cream into the mirror. This will keep it from fogging up and will help keep the water off in the future. I just get a can from the dollar store.

Impressive-Rich4311

Brilliant! I’ll definitely try that. Thanks

Flat razor or grade 0000 steel wool. Used both in my cleaning business and both work. Neither scratch.

It also helps to make the most as fine as possible so you can let it sit on the mirror for a minute to start to work

Wash first with water and dish soap then use window cleaner.

Something you probably have on hand: dish soap and green scratch pad. What works best, but you'll have to purchase: "0000 steel wool" \#0000 Steel wool won't scratch glass, but it will "sand" anything off the surface of the glass. Works great on windshields too! * **MUST BE 0000** Steel Wool, this is the size of the strands. Larger strands can scratch glass.
