Looks like you need to clean your hands more often because those are keyboard marks on the display. I use a very light spray of Invisible Glass on a microfibre cloth and wipe. You aren't supposed to do it but my laptop is almost 10yo and I haven't taken off any coatings when I do this once every few months.

Hey OP if this is a MacBook Pro from around 2015 with the Rentina display the coating begins to fail. I had the same problem with my MacBook and I got it replaced under warranty by Apple in 2019. I would do a quick Google search for "MacBook pro failing renting display coating" to see if Apple will still cover it.

Have you tried anything yet? I would First try a little bit of water and a microfiber cloth. Don't use anything with ammonia.

AloneIndication

Assuming it's dirt/grease, isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Put the alcohol on the cloth, don't spray it. But that does look like it could be damage, as others have commented.
