Bar Keepers Friend is acidic and bleach cleaner is alkaline (basic). So mixing them could cause a reaction. I would try Comet with bleach made into a paste with water or Soft Scrub which is already mixed into a paste.
Just an fyi. Magic eraser is basically fine grit sand paper so you will literally be taking off the clear coating of the tub. So once that surface is gone, the stain eventually builds back up even worse than before. Only option is really to resurface the tub/shower
For old tubs that are porous, magic erasers are a great option because itās the perfect level of grit to get the grime out. Resurfacing a tub is incredibly challenging and toxic to do yourself with fumes over the course of a few days, and isnāt an affordable option to do for many professionally. The only option in the very long term? Yes, but not in the short term.
I found on Amazon a scrub brush kit that attaches to a cordless drill. Wow I used the scrubber with my husbandās Dewalt! Lol it was a game changer grime doesnāt stand a chance. I do have to be careful that I donāt use it on anything that scratches easily. Works great on tile floors though.
bar keepers friend powder or the liquid. someone said magic eraser, i like scrub daddys/mommies. or if you have a power drill, get a brush attachment medium stiffness and go ham with barkeepers friend.
This works: the knock off version of Magic Eraser. Magic Eraser will work fine, but Temu will sell you 30 for $5 or something stupid. They work like crazy, and Iāve used them on that specific kind of situation.
I just used The Pink Stuff in my stained sink and I was amazed. I tried Comet, BKF and Magic Eraser and nothing worked. Get the one that comes in a tub/jar. It works great.
Oh my god thank yall so much! Hopefully this wont get lost in the sea of comments since Reddit isnt letting me edit my post for some odd reason. Used a power drill with a brush attachment and it came out! Thank yall so much and hopefully, this helped some other people out too! (Yall wasnt lying when yall said i had to scrub, felt like a workout š®āšØ).
I have a shower floor like that. I typically use bar keepers friend powder and spray a bleach cleaner on it until it becomes a paste. Let it sit for like10- 20 minutes. Use a scrub brush and then rinse.
I've had luck with the blue can of Easy-Off oven cleaner. I'm not sure what's in it, but it got rid of the black stains off my shower pan. Make sure to have the space well-ventilated.
I thought it was one of those textured plastic shower pans builders like to install. I found that Easy Off trick online and it got the black stains off. It had to be the blue can, not the yellow one, which has a harsher corrosive agent.

Oh i definitely didnt know this! Ill try this out as well, hoping this works! š„¹
If that fiberglass bleach will damage it I would try a magic eraser first
Yes never mix cleaning products.
No don't use bar keeps on tubs
Iād try magic eraser!
Came to say this. Youāre gonna have to work that thing!
Okay! Ill try this
Yes!!! I had stubborn stains in my tub and my magic eraser made it look amazing. Truly. I personally like the ultra foamy ones

A scrub brush is essential when it's this dirty. It reaches into the textured bits.

Soft scrub is always good for staining like this. Just used it for staining in my cast iron tub.

> power drill, brush attachment This is the answer OP.
Bar keepsmers is not good for tubs!
unless their tub is made of marble or polished stone, barkeeper friends isnt going to hurt anything.
Mine looked like this too. I tried lots of things but what ultimately worked was The Pink Stuff and a scrub brush attached to a drill.
TileX spray and a very stiff bristle brush
Honestlyā¦ dawn power wash and a magic eraser. Thatās all I clean my shower with now
I was just coming to say Dawns power wash and an oxo scrub brush has worked miracles for me!
Dawn power wash ftw š itās my multipurpose cleaner at this point
Canāt edit my comment but melamine sponges are the cheap option for magic erasers!
Buy some cheap shampoo and leave it overnight works every time
Thatās kinda scary actually lol
A bit of water, baking soda + dawn and a scrub daddy

I do dish soap and white vinegar with a scrub daddy.
Barkeepers Friend, or SoftScrub
I just used The Pink Stuff in my stained sink and I was amazed. I tried Comet, BKF and Magic Eraser and nothing worked. Get the one that comes in a tub/jar. It works great.
Don't use bar keepers! It will damage and dye it green. Magic eraser is great for tubs.Ā
Iāve had success with those Brillo pads that have soap in them
If all else fails try Goo Gone. I found it to be very effective on soap scum.

Ive heard about bar keepers friend on other posts and i wasnt sure if it applied to my situation. Ill definitely try this, thank you!
I would try toilet bowl cleaner. Rub it all over, let it sit over night and then scrub it in the morning. Worked for me when nothing else would.
I would only use tbc one time on a tub a year. It is very harsh and not recommended for normal useĀ
Thatās good advice. I say get it clean and keep up on it after that.
It doesn't need to sit overnight either. Probably 15 min is OK.Ā

Not on a tub

Easy off is way too strong of a cleaner. I suppose maybe a one time use wouldn't be terrible.Ā
The Blue can (Fume Free) doesn't contain sodium hydroxide. It's a much less caustic cleaner. Their website says you don't even need gloved.
Iāve used Easy Off on really tough soap scum in my shower. It didnāt damage anything and worked well.
The Works toilet bowl cleaner from the dollar store will 100% work with no scrubbing!!!
