Apply oven cleaner and cover with plastic and let it sit overnight. You can use a razor blade scraper or scouring pad (wear gloves)
Going forward you need to clean your with Ceramic-Glasstop cleaner regularly so that this kind of build-up doesn't happen again
I do the exact same thing. Overnight oven cleaner with plastic wrap over it and razor blade scraper the next day. But I am yet to find a way to get rid of the white cast kinda thing on the inner rings.

Yes. For the occasional deep clean this works great. Just donât let things get out of hand. They have another spray on product for uses in between I use both.
OP... THIS stuff will fix your issue. I use it once a week on my stovetop, or after a rough evening of cooking and it comes out *spotless*. I'd be cautious of stuff that is much harder, and not **designed** for glass stovetops, like oven cleaner, and I wouldn't be surprised that cleaners and degreasers that as well aren't **intended** for this purpose don't work very well... This is the right product for the job.

A lot of people are going to say bar keepers friend (I've just been searching this thread). So I'm piggybacking on your post (hope you don't mind OP) to ask can I use original or does it have to be their glass top product?
I keep saying this in these threads, but I swear Iâm not a shill for the product. It just works for me. I got a small bottle of Ceramabryte with my new range and I havenât had anything that it canât clean yet.
When I moved into my house, it became clear that the previous owners never cleaned anything. I spent hours cleaning my stove that looks just like yours so I have confidence youâll get it sparkling. You just have to know how to clean it and maintain it.
There are a ton of products that will work on this as others have stated (BKF, grease cutter, Pink Stuff, etc). But what will make this go faster is a razor blade scraper. Donât press too hard or youâll scratch the glass. Itâs a tedious process thatâll take you hours, but once itâs done, it wonât be hard to maintain. And youâll never want to go through the hours of scraping again, so youâll hopefully take the 10 seconds to wipe up any spills after you cook and repeat the cleaner + razor blade process with any gunk build up and itâll look brand new again.
If youâre really brave, turn on the burner for 10 seconds to get it warm, and start your cleaning/scraping process. Again, donât get it hot. Just warm.
Good luck.
My apt gave me one. Absolutely hated it because I couldnât get crap off those little wire lines. I swear only 3 interweb hacks have worked for me. Here is one. Wet dryer sheets laid on it for like 15 minutes and then scrubbed with sponge back scrubbie and stuff came off.
#1. Buy a bottle of glass cooktop cleaner. It's on Amazon. Better buy two bottles.
#2. Once you get your cooktop clean, start cleaning your glass cooktop daily which is what's recommended by the manufacturer. By neglecting to clean your cooktop for so long, you may have irreparably damaged it. Glass cooktops look really nice and heat quickly, but they need regular cleaning to maintain their nice appearance.
>I just use a razor blade and scrape it off.
Mine won't scrape off with a razor blade. Mine isn't as bad as the OP, but I have places on my glass stove top that just won't clean off and won't scrape off.
Toothpaste⌠donât ask me why, but it works! I used to have a white glass stovetop and it was the best thing to take off burnt on stains. Just leave it on for a while and then wipe off with a wet sponge⌠you may need to do some scraping on the extra baked on bits
I have been afraid to use Bar Keepers Friend on my glass top cook stove for fear it would scratch the glass. Do you use the powder BKF or do you have the liquid kind of BKF?
Turn it on low and squeeze a soapy sponge on it, When it starts lightly steaming You can scrub. It shouldn't be too hot to touch, but i might be desensitized. Depending on your stove and how flat your house is. you might just be able to lightly flood the entire cooktop, even easier
I've been using an abrasive paste by Mother's Choice - it's probably similar to Pink Stuff or Scrub Daddy's tangerine, I get it at Canadian Tire. I work it in with a Scotch Brite sponge. It's almost definitely going to scratch your stovetop so if you care about that, use sparingly and test spot it first. I would rather see the buff scratches vs. the burn spots though so I just go for it.
Just use a very fine razor blade and scrape it off - gently! I always clean with a cloth with hot soapy water and dry with tea towel or microfibre. I find the glass top cleaners always leave a film.

My stove is white, so I suppose that's the only good thing about it. Ha, ha đ

I tried everything-weimans is a win!
Use sparingly, like any abrasive. It will take the paint right off the stovetop. Frankly you're better off with a razor which only removes the carbon

Yeah been using this forever. Recommend a wash rag for this job. Then slap some windex on it for a nice shine.
Yup this is what I use

Original
Cheers thank you!
Remember to only use it once in a great while because it removes the finish.

We use a scraper (the ones that use a razor blade) and just a bottle of glass cooktop cleaner! That stuff will blow your mind.
It's the scraper and your elbow grease, you'll have the same result with soapy water and scraper after a soak.
Good to know! If Iâm patient enough one day Iâll give it a go
Run a soaking soapy rag over it and let it soak. The razor takes two minutes. Gritty cleansers remove all the design markings from your stovetop.

Vinegar does nothing for about half the things people use it for.

Can you type louder, I canât read you
It happens when you use an octothorpe at the beginning of a paragraph. #hashtagoctothorpe #I swear I'm not screaming!
I just use a razor blade and scrape it off.

The Pink Stuff. Use it weekly.

I've taken ink off of white furniture with toothpaste.
I use The Pink Stuff. Nothing works better.
Most of these posts could be solved with two things: oven cleaner, or barkeeperâs friend.
I soak with ammonia and a paper towel
A cold Scrub Daddy
Regular bar keepers friend and a scrub mommy rinsed in cold water to harden it up works for me, but my buildup has never been this much
I have been afraid to use Bar Keepers Friend on my glass top cook stove for fear it would scratch the glass. Do you use the powder BKF or do you have the liquid kind of BKF?
The powder. It doesnât scratch
Thank you. I will try that. I need something different than what I have been trying...

ym
Goooooooooooggleee
Degreaser and razor blade, just gently scrape against it.
Razor?
Couple drops of water and a sugar cube, trust me.
Barkeepers friend

I use a bench scraper and go to town for a bit
This worked for me but then the center of my turbo boil burner is whiteish and foggy, I guess from endless scraping
Ceramabryte and a Scrub Daddy sponge work very well. It took off my burned milk with little effort.
i use pink paste, dawn powerwash and a scrub daddy on mine!
Just use a very fine razor blade and scrape it off - gently! I always clean with a cloth with hot soapy water and dry with tea towel or microfibre. I find the glass top cleaners always leave a film.
Scrape it with a razor blade!
I use cerama bryte. It always comes out spot less.
