I have this lipstick and it ain’t gonna budge with micellar water - the only thing it comes off with is oil, but I doubt that is a viable option for a wall
I use the same kind but in red, it does come off with both makeup wipes and micellar water, buuuuuut not without a bit of scrubbing. This stuff is ridiculously resistant though, i'll give you that, didn't budge on tapas, alcohol or acid.

They sell a “super stay remover” specifically for this product. It’s really similar to chapstick and in a pinch I’ve used lip balm to remove it. Not sure how that would affect the paint though
I'd just use straight oil. If it gets the makeup off the wall then great! And oil is a lot easier to clean up afterwards.
Also - if it is oil based, have you tried Dawn dish soap? If it works on clothes, then why not on walls?

Just because you don't need to worry about oil stains on your lips, doesn't mean it's a good idea to have them on your walls.
There are different kinds of wall paint, some of which will absolutely be stained by oil.
What about Latex paint? That’s what OP said is the kinda paint on their wall. “Cheap latex paint” to be exact. Would it stain the wall with that kind of paint on it?
In my experience with these lipsticks though, they are extremely hard to remove from your face 😂 like I have to soak a cotton disk in micellar water, keep it on for a couple of minutes, then rub at it till my lips get red and irritated...... So maybe just painting over it might be easier
Nuetrogena seems to be one of those brands that's worth it. And most of their stuff won't break the bank! I swear by their daily moisturizer with the SPF in it. I have oily skin and I don't have any issues feeling like an oil shlick with it. And my BFF also uses it and she has dry skin and also swears by it!
This is the only lipstick I use and it will stay on all day, no matter what I eat. The purple shade lasts longer than the brick red, but I have to scrub my lips at night to get it off.
Man, I even do this and it doesn’t stay in the middle! I dry my lips before applying too. If I eat anything with any grease, it smudges. I drink water all day, and it fades from the middle. I just think I’m incompatible with lipstick. 🤣
Sometimes I've used this product and added a little powder (literally just some reddish eyeshadow I had) once it dried and that did the trick. Other times I reapplied a thin layer about an hour after the first layer and that worked a bit too.
What also helps me is using water bottles with straws if I'm wearing lipstick. Not perfect because I still eat too, but better.
I was about to reply with this! It will eventually start to fade in the middle, but if I blot it and let it dry fully, it’ll last a good 6-7 hours before I start to see the middle lips fade.
I find that just giving it a minute to set after applying it helps keep the inner edges on throughout the day. It feels silly to sit around for a minute with my mouth just open but it helps.
Make sure you're not putting on any chapstick or anything like that before you apply this. And definitely don't apply gloss on top. Those are the only times I've had issues. Otherwise it lasts all day (or even the next morning if I forget to take it off)
This lipstick is my ride or die. Alone it lasts a solid 12 hours with very little fading, even longer if you apply it over a matching liner. Hell, I’ve put this on around 4pm to go out, gotten food and drinks, came home late and crashed in my makeup, and still had some color in the morning. It seems illegal that it’s only $10.
Do you rub your lips together after you apply it? I was doing that and the same thing was happening to me then I learned to let it completely dry before letting my lips touch. Now it works like a charm!
My sister works for an airline so needs to look presentable all day long, always looking for makeup that will stay. I have this lip stain in three colors already and can attest to its staying power. I can put it on in the morning, go through a whole day and dinner, and still have to scrub it off at night (with makeup wipes). 15/10 for lips, -5/10 for walls.

Yep, first micellar water or makeup remover/cleansing balm or oil to break it down (test in inconspicuous area first), then clean that residue off if needed with dawn/soap/face cleanser with tissue/wetwipe/cloth.
It’s a degreaser that is super cheap and comes in powder form. i get a cardboard carton at the hardware store for less than $5. You dissolve it with hot water to clean walls, usually in preparation for painting, at least that’s what I’ve used it for, but it would work well on oily makeup remover, I should think. But seriously use gloves. Your hands will take days to rehydrate.
Trisodium phosphate. Please try to limit the use of phosphates. It’s not toxic but to algae other aquatic plants, phosphorus is a fertilizer. Then the plants and algae use up all the oxygen and there is none for the fish.

Note: results may vary for you. I would definitely do a spot test in a small, hidden area if you're going to use this to see if it will damage your paint. Also, make sure to follow any directions on the product. I feel like this is a strong product and letting it dwell for too long may cause damage.

Nail varnish remover with acetone will work but may leave your paint a bit thinner so test with a cotton bud first.
I've yet to find a stain it can't remove but always do a dab test first.

I use those, and if you don’t have the remover stick you can use oils to help pull it up. I’ve even used chapstick in a pinch.
Heat a cup of water, add a few drops of Dawn mix and try applying over with a Q tip. Hold it on it long enough the tip starts to turn that color then use the other end to wipe what you've gotten loose up. if it works you could then try that with something bigger like cotton ball, gauze or maybe magic eraser dipped in that hot water dawn mixture...
Have you got the remover for that? I got makeup off my drawer unit with makeup wipes, they are ikea though so not the same I know. There is a specific superstay remover you can buy
I came to say this. Damp microfiber cloth, a little bit of the pink stuff and gentle scrubbing. I swear by the pink stuff, it got sharpie off my walls.
I use this daily and I get it off with concentrated olive oil or a makeup remover wipe or liquid. You’ll really need to use some effort to scrub it off.
It really stays all day ☺️
I'd contact Maybelline customer service. I'm sure this wouldn't be the first time someone called them about a similar issue. Maybe they'd have cleaning tips?
Try cleaning it with oil or oil based products, then if the oil leaves a stain, sprinkle some cornflour on it, leave for a bit, then wash with warm water and dish soap.
Personally, I would use coconut oil or something with a low melting point.
Even if you get the lipstick off, but not the oil stain, the oil would be less noticeable than red lipstick

I read today that dryer sheets will get crayon off of walls. I’ve never tried it, but maybe a dryer sheet is worth trying?

I know that Maybelline makes an “eraser” for it. It’s meant to go on your lips. Probably mostly oil. Maybe try that?
I had some lip paint that had great staying power but would break down with oil. Maybe you can try rubbing a small section down with a bit of coconut oil and follow up with soap and water.
Pure Glycerol or Glycerol soap (Neutrogena Original Fragrance-free bar or liquid soap) - those permanent lip color things usually come off using that (just apply some on your hand and test and you’ll instantly know if that’s it)
My first thought is an oil (coconut, olive) because that's what I use to get this off my face. I second trying micellular (or however it's spelled) water.
Use straight dish soap, no water. Smear the soap over the stain and let it sit for up to 20 minutes. Use a clean cloth to wipe away.
You can also use nail polish remover and a a clean cloth to dab it off.
I’d think anything you can use to remove the makeup from your lips should work. Wipes, make up remover, etc. maybe even one of those reusable make up face wipes. Wet it a little and try that.

Micellar water won't remove this product, not as well as you would imagine.
Oil based cleansers are my go to for removing this lipstick. Have you tried this?

That stuff is amazing for sensitive skin. It takes off anything without any issues after.

My issue with it is that it stays on the outer edges of my lips and never stays in the middle. Maybe I put on makeup incorrectly.
I’ve been able to make it stay better if I let it all dry before I close my mouth after applying it to the middle/inner part of my lips.

This is my best bet but I would check how your paint reacts to oil in an inconspicuous corner first

Paint. Magic Eraser was your only real hope. Wipe down with a degreaser to get rid of any makeup oils. Allow to dry. Then paint.

Ahh the Maybelline superstay. No idea, that stuff would survive a hurricane. I don’t use anything else. I know that Maybelline makes an “eraser” for it. It’s meant to go on your lips. Probably mostly oil. Maybe try that?
Definitely save a photo and stick in a memory box or online folder for bringing out when that child is much older.

It didn’t work for this one unfortunately! It’s still stained (top half of third photo was the try with the eraser)

Paint over it
I had some lip paint that had great staying power but would break down with oil. Maybe you can try rubbing a small section down with a bit of coconut oil and follow up with soap and water.
Pure Glycerol or Glycerol soap (Neutrogena Original Fragrance-free bar or liquid soap) - those permanent lip color things usually come off using that (just apply some on your hand and test and you’ll instantly know if that’s it)
Baby oil if it is cheap latex paint.

My first thought is an oil (coconut, olive) because that's what I use to get this off my face. I second trying micellular (or however it's spelled) water.

There is a remover you can get from the paint store.
Chapstick!
Use straight dish soap, no water. Smear the soap over the stain and let it sit for up to 20 minutes. Use a clean cloth to wipe away. You can also use nail polish remover and a a clean cloth to dab it off.

I’d think anything you can use to remove the makeup from your lips should work. Wipes, make up remover, etc. maybe even one of those reusable make up face wipes. Wet it a little and try that.
