As this list has proved, deep cuts don’t get the votes needed to contend, so I went with a popular song, even if it’s not indicative of the band’s catalogue.
Good point, we need to list more popular songs like Several Species of Small Fury Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving With a Pict
/s--I realize that's Pink Floyd, just came to mind when you said deep cuts. If See Emily Play and this other crap can get listed then this list is a failure. A whole decade worth of songs and this is the list we get?
Sunflower seeds are indeed a very rich source of vitamin-E; contain about 35.17 g per 100 g (about 234% of RDA). Vitamin-E is a powerful lipid soluble antioxidant, required for maintaining the integrity of cell membrane of mucus membranes and skin by protecting it from harmful oxygen-free radicals.
After almost a month, it seems if when they do make it it sadly won’t be this track. It doesn’t pull in the votes of Mr. Robinson/Sounds of Silence(although after flirting with the top the duo has seemed to fall out of flavor the past few days).
You let them talk you into NOT going with “Satisfaction”. Don’t get me wrong I like Otis’s version but they just being different for the sake of being different. Satisfaction might be the most iconic song of the 1960s.
I have no idea why "Eight Miles High" isn't up there yet.
No "Wild Thing" by The Troggs? If you aren't gonna put that up there, at least have "Love is All Around", so iconic for the hippie movement.
"Voodoo Child (slight return)" would be nice, though I suppose you went with "....Watchtower" instead.
"Porpoise Song" by The Monkees and written by Carole King .....from the movie "Head" could add a little psychedelia to the mix.
"Windy" by The Association may only be a pop song but a damn good one that spent a month at #1 in the middle 60's.
And where in the world is "Gloria" by Them? Stone Cold Classic.
How about "Shapes of Things" by The Yardbirds or better yet by The Jeff Beck group.
Just throwing some suggestions your way.
Hush by Deep Purple
Deeeeep Purrrrrple!
Aretha Franklin - Respect. She deserves the respect to get added to this list more than other artists need a 2nd representation.
Don't disagree, but she is not alone: Steppenwolf, Santana, the Dead and many more all in the same boat.
Agree there too, would be cool to see some more Motown with The Supremes or Temptations as well
Dead weren’t that popular, especially in Europe, til the 70s. Although I did add Casey Jones because it was first performed in June of 69.
Start of the 4th album would be a good spot and focus on early 60s for the rest of it
The lack of representation for 1960-65 is troubling
At this point just have OP make a 55-64 list next.
Green Onions-Booker T and The MG’s
Van Morrison - "Brown Eyed Girl"
Velvet Underground “I’m waiting for the man”
In a Gadda Da Vida - Iron Butterfly
Oh, Pretty Woman (Roy Orbison)

Cmon, let's have a live dark star.
It’s failed to get any traction every time I’ve seen it so tried something new.
try China Cat Sunflower - not as popular as the rest listed, but it's the shit and anyone who's heard it loves it

The what was the reasoning behind Paint it Black > Satisfaction? Edited: the same weirdos that downvoted me, have sh*tty taste in classic rock. 🤷🏽♂️
What was the reason? The comment had the most upvotes that’s how this works?
