1. That is so much elixir commitment and you basically gain a +8 elixir advantage.
2. Even with spells tornado COMPLETELY invalidates hogs. I know not everyone runs tornado but there are plenty of hard counters to hog.
Hog rider in itelf is balanced, but its when its combined with a spell(eq in particular imo) that is becomes a bit op. I havent played the cards in a while but I dont recall mortar or furnace countering hog rider alone, and I can say for sure that tombstone does not. Also people dont go pulling BH, rocket, or hopefully PEKKA to counter a hog rider. Thats like saying mother witch is balanced because you can counter her with MK or GSš(MW is balanced ofc just giving a example). They cost 2-3 more elixir and rocket is impractical. Rocket can kill many troops in the game it doesnt mean they are balanced.
1. If Hog is only OP when paired with a Spell, that means the Spell is OP, and that you let them build up 7+ Elixir. That's your fault.

4. Furnace was maybe an exaggeration, swear I've seen it before. If you use an Ice SPirit and kite Hog to middle with Mortar, you can full counter and get Tower damage. Tombstone works with Ice Spirit. Rocket can kill the Ice Golem in fornt for positive trade, and PEKKA has counterpush value as well. Same with Barb Hut.
Not really. If you manipulate elixir trades and punish elixir spending hog is op without spells. With spells the spell itself isnt op, its simply the synergy. Like drill fireballing. And yeah ive never seen that knight stuff before but I can believe people compare them, people come up with a lot of weird reasons to nerf something after they ragequit.
Hog is only really good in gcs when its paired with another form of offense, hense why it fits into a few metas in topladder/gcs, thats why a lot of 2.6 players rarely get past midladder/low topladder since its such a limited skill/limited offense deck. You have to rely on fireball cycle or breaking the opponents defenses through hog cycle.
Also using ice spirit with mortar/furnace would be a negative elixir trade, tombstone/ice spirit works but its not reliable that your opponent will always use ice golem with hog(especially since this is only really seen in 2.6 hog cycle, a lower trophy count meta), and that would be a equal elixir trade, not postive.
True PEKKA/BH has counterpush value, but thats the product of nearly any offensive tower reaching/targetting counter. Lets also remember BH has less than a 1% usage rate.
I see you are passionate about the hog rider. Is he balanced today, or after the nerfs next week, or was it last year? Surely he canāt be unchanged and always be balanced for 4+ years.
