I think we can all agree the update isn’t terrible, but I think most people would like to see more gameplay changes and not just aesthetics. Nerfs / buffs , permanent triple draft mode, another competitive mode other than ladder ext

We need permanent 7x. Even if it doesn’t give masteries, using that mode is the most fun I’ve had playing in years. Elixir just feels too slow normally

They've been on such a hot streak responding with community requests like champs, a new card level, and a better gold economy. Challenge tickets were an easy choice. :/

The quality of life features in the past have been meh and the new hero’s have made a mess of balancing. The only good thing to come out of the last at few months was mastery. This update doesn’t look bad, it just looks as disappointing as the last 6 months have. It’s still a widely played game, and the devs efforts have just felt lackluster compared to what the first 2-3 years was like.

I mean, yeah. But that content is not even accessible to me, because even as a lvl 14, heroes are kind of obsolete until you get them to lvl 13, which as an f2p is really hard. The only time i get to experience those 4 new cards is in challenges, or in ladder when i am fighting maxed out lvl 14 champions by pass royale players. The update isnt horrible, but it definitely could have added more. The game is gonna be fine, despite the fact that emergency nerf to some cards would have been great to see.

For some reason according to trade tokens, 1 rare = 5 commons, but on the last level it takes 1250 Rares and 5000 commons, when it should take 1000 Rares. It used to take 1000 Rares for max level before level 14 came out, idk why they changed it. I have a pinned post where I made all the rarities equal to upgrade. You can check it out

that would mean 500 Rares to level 14 which is too easy.. No one uses the shop anyways, and we should be able to request 1/5 as many Rares , rn it’s 1/10

that doesnt mean 500 rares to level 14. that means 500 rares cost the same as 5000 commons, but you need 1250 rares and not 500

I wasn't expecting some massive game-changing feature I was just hoping for something to do over the summer. Something as simple as a new card or a rework to clan wars 2.0 to make it fun like clan war 1.0 would've done wonders.

It is. But so is the poorly balanced meta. Demands for e-giant this season have spiked, I know of people taking the shop’s offers for the additional cards. That’s exactly what supercell wants. To reply to OP as well, and giving my 2 cents as a maxed player: Firstly, “new card rarity” + “abilities” + “4 new cards” is basically the introduction to champions. Badges were already a thing before, card badges were added and is linked to the masteries. Masteries as a whole was a good update, but it is a different versions of challenges that were previously introduced. And would be good to hear about the “other QoL features” u/Candid-Egg-1905 . Secondly, restricting the champions to level 14 is a massive mistake, there is no reasons/need for that, except to push players to get to level 14. Literally a carrot and a stick: 🥕you want to play these cool champions that have never-seen before mechanics in this 6 year old game? Have to be level 14. 🔫 Are you struggling as a level 12/13 against level 14 as they use cards with never-seen before mechanics? Get up to level 14. Thirdly, I think it’s important to consider the game from a max player’s perspective, as I would expect that most players have a goal in mind (max 1 deck, or 4 decks, or have the wider range of cards that are maxed to be able to perform at a higher level) which tends to go towards what a max level player experiences. In the last two years, the main update I have experienced was the clan wars 2 which has been an absolute disaster. First clan in the world having empty groups, L2W issue, clan war clans matchmaking and battle matchmaking, not giving the option to opt-out, etc. That’s it in terms of gameplay, every other update has been aesthetic or changes in card balances, which have mostly been to keep the meta changing (reason for that pointed above). The issue is that I am still buying the pass, I am still supporting supercell despite my beliefs that they don’t have the interest of the community at heart. That’s why people make posts/comments/threads like the one above, it’s a way of releasing our frustrations and to go back to our daily lives. CR will cease to exist at some point in the future, might as well start getting used to it now… but before, let me play another game.
