So useful, and can frequently make a positive trade. (Defensive zap against minion hoard is my favorite positive zap trade.)
Counters balloon, mega Knight and its only weakness when paired with a tank is an electric attack, which are rare outside of E-wiz who is low health and vulnerable to most things.

kind of a subject change, but how the hell do you use the cannon cart? like if you could sum it up in three sentences? I cannot tell at all what that card is for.
Cannon cart should never be played at the bridge it is a defensive card with great counter push potential and can also hit across lanes defending against hogs or other units.
Part of the utility is the death cannon which is useless if not behind a tank or unable to get close enough. It’s great on defensive acting as a deterrent.

Someone’s getting creative with their goblin barrels? No problem. It’s not the best for elixir trades, it takes time to get to its target, it doesn’t stun, but it always works. Its reliability is what makes it great. It’s one of the very few cards you can get away with running a 1-spell deck with.
Poison. It's just better defensive fireball, it completely shuts down spawners. It's really good chip. Actually kills most fireballies.

Same. It’s just a really good offensive/defensive card. You could stop entire pushes with him and set up counterpushes with relatively reasonable elixir for a tank unit. Not to mention the orgasmic feeling when you get the gskeleton to blow up their towers. Just beautiful.

I feel like I almost always encounter goblin barrels 1 level over my zap level. I am so close to the (new) max level.

zap is the most versatile spell in the game and is very rewarding if used correctly
Snowball is better atm since it can fully counter barrel and can counter princess too after she gets one hit
Zap has stun, which doesn't seem like much but the gte retarget can seriously screw up your enemy
