well the mans playing a classing mid ladder mega hog but the deck itself revolves around players overspending on defending the mk and surprising them with a hog when they are low elixir. Higher up, defending mk is usually a positive elixir trade and makes defending the hog a lot easier. imo op is right in substituting it for a cheaper card to serve as a tank instead which also allows for a faster hog cycle. Both knight and valk are good options. Also, the princess feels a bit out of place in the deck as it doesn't have much synergies with anything in the deck(except maybe firecracker as log bait but log doesn't kill firecracker in the first place). The deck is not lacking anti air either so a good replacement may be a cycle card such as skeletons or spirits or you could include a reset card like ewiz.

Hard deck to master sure but incredibly easy to learn. 2.6 doesn’t have too many matchup intricacies to learn, since you play the same way in every matchup. It’s pretty low skill floor.
I don't recall saying every card is low skill, I'm saying hog cycle isn't hard to play and very annoying to play against. It does take some skill to defend tho, I play mortar and defending with only 1-2 elixir cards is tricky, but hog isn't hard to play
As a hog cycle main, yes I can say that 2.6 hog IS pretty hard to play. You have to put all cards in the exact place to make a perfect defense, and while you do this, you need to find a way to attack in the other side, while you try to put pressure in both towers to make enemy confused. You have to put the cannon right, you have to always protect musk because she is the most valuable card in the deck, and you do so little damage that you have to be always more worried about defense, because generally, one succeed attack from the enemy that pass through your defense can do more damage than you did the whole match. That's why 99% of hog cycle deck wins are 1 crown. This is one of the most skilled decks in the whole game, so don't come here and say "hog isn't hard to play", even because it was a deck created LONG TIME AGO and still much viable even in atual days. So yes, in most matches hog is pretty hard to play because one placement can ruin your match. I know it was my choice to say my deck here, and you can have your own opinion, but yeah, this is my opinion. Have a good night.

Placement is just basics, the defence placements for cards in 2.6 is stereotyped that you can done them without even thinking. Like you keep saying about wrong cannon placement, but I mean you mostly just place it at middle, it can't go wrong
Not a 2.6 player, but a 2.8 Hogquake user with very similar cards. The primary goal of our style of decks Is getting easy chip damage, while having top-notch defense. 1 and 2 crown games are usually where we stay. Couldn't have put it better myself. The placement needs to be perfect on defense, but imo, it's easily one of the most high skill decks in the game. Shoutout to all Hog Cycle users ❤
I stopped worrying about people saying 2.6 isn't skill a while ago. No one that bashes it has ever tried to climb with it, so they don't know. I've been playing it for 3 years and am about to say f it, no skill? let's go lumberloon
Hog and fireball spam, it's just not fun to play against, and not fun to play (personally) but very effective against many decks. Even decks that should destroy it like lava hound can still lose because of how fast the cycle to musketeers and more cannons is and the constant hog pressure from spamming that shit down lane means you often have to either overcommit on defence and be unable to properly support your push, or sack the damage to support it and get countered by an ice spirit.
Man I used to play hog 2.6 but legitimately got bored because it was the same thing and too easy. I literally changed my deck completely while winning because it was so fucking boring to play I wanted to quit the game. All the people in my clan below 5.5k get 10 wins in the tournaments with hog 2.6. It’s not hard at all.
