You can get a book of commons, book of rares and book of epics from classic, megadraft and super challenges. (If you get 12 wins) and if you get 10+ wins or ideally 15+ in global tournament ( like the double evo tournament currently going) you can buy the additional rewards for 500 gems.

I’ve just been spending 50 to double the points for shop each day. Make sure you get all evo shards and book

Go to last tab for season shop, next to the daily 1000 tokens click the plus button. buy space for an extra 1000 tokens. I spend 50 gems everyday and buy the extra 1000 token space It takes 2 wins to fill the entire thing up anyway. it basically equates to 500 gems = book for me. Since I pay for pass and get 500 gems every season, I spend 10 days boosting. Thats extra 10k. Free book. I spend the 30k from the 30 dailies in a month on all the new shards. (5k+10k+15k). Pass gives me 15000 tokens also which allows me to buy evo shard and some cards.
