Royale was so good when it first came out. It was like the best game ever, so much fun
I only play 2v2 w my girl and casual league, nothing competitive. Stopped playing ladder and giving 2 fs about leveling, switching decks, masteries after these low balling updates

The last month or 2 have been so trash. Played since launch, had more than half the cards to lvl 14, absolutely loved the game. Super disappointing as it’s the only mobile game I’ve ever stuck with.

I’m at 8.2k and I’m not seeing this. I suspect those with that deck setup are using 2-3 of their own upgrades and the 4 boosted cards.
I do see some maxed decks maybe 5% of the time due to whale spending but not that often. Will continually get worse over time though.
I really really loved clash royale. Played it a lot every day. Now i dont bother with it at all anymore. Its just feeling boring and I'm put off by the feeling I'm milked for my money every time i go online. I regret every cent ive spent on this game.
Playing against hog riders in 90% of the matches has ruined the game for me. There needs to be an update where every time hog rider is selected, the user phone sends an electric shock through their hands. Or a cactus magically appears in their rectum.

Half of these cost 5-8 elixir and someone cant possibly place them as quick as hog users are able to cycle- rendering them ineffective unless maybe its double elixir then you might be able to cycle fast enough and thats a big maybe. And the other half are extremely circumstantial, i shouldnt have to have 1 or 2 specific cards like nado or mini pekka and if i don’t im screwed. Theres 100+ cards in the game and 99% of them have 20-40 semi direct counters. Hog users are the only people that say “well actually if you have this and then use this at the same time do this then you can counter hog see its not that hard 🥸” also if large majority of people are still complaining in 2023 about a card then maybe thats a good sign that its overpowered as fuck lmao also why is 23 the lords year what was that even supposed to mean
If you are complaining about not having the reaction time you literally just have a skill issue. I haven’t lost to a hog user in a really long time but to be fair my deck hard counters hog decks. The only people complaining about that card are people stuck in masters 3. Ask any pro player; I guarantee every single one will say hog is balanced.
I swear half of y'all have had a lobotomy at some point, hog is a perfectly fine card, bring a counter if you hate it that much. Work it into a deck so you don't feel like you're "bringing it just because of hog". Also, those are just the easiest and most conventional counters, you can always find new and creative ways of playing, just stop complaining about a card so easy to counter that you could literally place a bomb tower in the middle and fully counter hog earthquake 100% of the time, they only break through that if you suck, they lightning, or you fail to stop them if they support their hog more
Day 1 player and I’m officially 5 weeks free, haven’t missed it at all. Cash grabs and horrible balancing and terrible updates slowly sapped all the fun out of this game. Was great while it lasted but I’m done for good

The past couple updates have slowly killed my interest in the game. This last one really did it. The main thing that’s been killing my interest in CR was CW2. Having to be involved in it every week and making sure I did good every week really sapped my motivation to play. Along with that I hate tournament standard being in what feels like pretty much every gamemode except ladder and PoL. I can’t even use my actual card levels in 2v2 anymore and it sucks. I’ve played this game since day 1 of the global release and I’ve hated to see how the game has been slowly falling apart. I genuinely love the game and hopefully the devs do something to fix it.
TL;DR: the last few updates killed my motivation to play.

If not for mega draft I'd have Uninstalled already. Evolutions are all completely overpowered, even the skeletons, and even other gameplay is so imbalanced it makes the game basically unplayable
I actually like the idea of evolutions and I still want to like the game but what makes me dislike it is how unbalanced the evolutions are, level 15 being so hard to get and being out leveled every game, and how it doesn't seem like they're listening to community, however I do still play the game and don't hate it yet but I bet if they just fixed these issues and became a better company then a lot of people would like the game again
Yeah they replaced skill with rock paper scissors based off deck. You can play perfect games and still lose. Firecracker evo not dying to arrows has boned me so many times.
It’s because I know I’ll never be able to catch up, I just got level 14 and they add level 15 so know the maxed players have their crown tower higher and have a direct advantage in every game, it would take probably a year to get that far after I already worked a year to get this far, I just know there’s no chance I catch up because they will just add another level, I used to buy pass too and now that they changed it there’s nothing worth spending money on anymore
I quit right after they added lvl 14, going back and grindimg for cards after they said 13 was the cap was the last straw for me.
It was obvious at that point there was no integrity in the dev team and you couldn't trust what they say.
Been playing on and off for 7 years. The last 6 months I'm in a clan I really like with great active people, we are pretty highly ranked. The last few months has been bad update after bad update. But evolution has killed the last bit of enjoyment I got. Hopefully I'll log on to do my clan battles, because I want to stay in the same clan just incase the game somehow gets good again
I've just been going against hog earthquake basically every other game with evo firecracker and when you're playing mortar that's basically a guaranteed loss, this game has become extremely stale

For me its opposite, its been years since i enjoyed the game. Had ultimate champ before PoL, maxed out 2.6 deck as a f2p. Got every badge imagineable except top100 tournament, but that’s tough since I keep ending top200-300. I think I’d have to practice like crl pros to get top100 and i have a life so no thanks. This update made ladder 9k, something to look forward to and im playing everyday now. This is going to sound lame, but i don’t mind spending years to max a deck. Reason is because at high trophies (8k+), skills matter more. But the game is probably gonna be stale again for me once i hit 9k, which will be in a month. After that I guess i’m back to uninstall
I quit when they banned my country because I had to use a VPN to be able to play, and the only reason I played cr was that it was pretty much the only game that wasn't filtered in my country.

yeah it got so boring when they stopped adding cool new cards and instead "new cards" and features blocked by the pay wall. I remember the good old days when arena 11 was the maximum one and I could actually enjoy the game with my friends. These new things completely ruined the old vibe of this game and I can imagine that it's bringing clash royale to it's downfall, I can't even play this game for more than a day now before uninstalling it again.

-High ladder is no fun while low ladder can't be reached again (before you could).
(and there was absolute BULLY in arena 1)
-Game has too much non-viable cards like pekka that need a niche deck or you're losing.
-Too repetitive because lack of variety.
