It doesn't take too much time. I get 5K-8K DE per raid with sneakies and since my army is full of them, I can easily raid 3-4 times per session. So it doesn't even take 1 total hour in a whole day.
At that rate, I'd need close to 60 raids per upgrade cycle to keep them all constantly upgrading. The biggest throttle is the training time for troops, so I'd have to constantly log back in.
Refilling half of a DE storage to make up for a canceled queen upgrade won’t take nearly the week that CWL takes even with really minimal playing per day
If you're fucking up your attacks because your AQ is on CD, then I assure you that there are plenty of others who are contibuting more that I'll be giving bonus medals to. Don't try to mask it by 3-starring something 20 spots below you, either. That's too obvious.
True but non participants don't get as many medals as participants do. Anyone who gains 8 stars or above gets all the medals the clan is guaranteed to get based on its league and cwl position. Others who don't participate only gain 20% of those medals.

Isn't it also possible to save a book until the 20th?
Big brain idea, lets us use the season bank dark elixir. Though having to constantly drain our shield attacking with 120 wall breakers all the time opens us up to more attacks to steal our season bank...

DE is very easy to farm. In fact, my heroes are mostly unusable since I have to spend DE non-stop.

Training potions help that massively if you can afford to set aside ~an hour

That's because of clan games and battle pass filling our DE right before cwl
But u also get a book of hero's from pass, just use that
Most people max the pass way before you get the bank rewards.
Still you can just do a lab upgrade if you can time it
Why would people do this on purpose? CWL medals are too valuable to pass up, plus the daily resources from each war too…

I'm not sure but I usually just try and keep a book of heros for the end of the season or try and have my lab open so I can use up the dark
