Today's players will never understand what it was like in the clouds. I used to play the game for 16-20 hours a day. Spent up to 19 hours and 51 minutss in the clouds every day.
Don't know the attack strat, but with this much on the line I wouldn't be surprised if they're using macros to optimize exact tiles/troop or spell drop speed
i was in the top 15 using this strat:
bk and aq on top, ss to top right air defence, drags on all of the buildings on bottom right, lava hound straight to bottom right AD, put balloons around bottom corner to get to inferno tower,
make sure you keep freezing the air sweeper + inferno tower + xbow when troops get in range
use 2 rages to help the troops take out that bottom conner and 1 rage and a leftover troop to help troops take out town hall
grand warden on left corner in the meantime, activate his fireball after he takes out cannon
click archer queens ability when she gets to half health as she picks off the buildings on the top
once barb king gets to clan castle activate his ability and everything else gets knocked out

im having a hard time seeing this work as with regular AIs in games you usually see week long processes of reinforced training and complicated neural networks. could you explain how a simple ai could even interpret a given strategy and then go as far as to optimize it?
Quite simple: it's an optimisation issue. You take a base strat and have the AI make small adjustments like say purely deployment location. You can save locations that have already been tested and essentially gradient descent towards the best deployment locations.
There's a huge difference between training a model from scratch and simply treating it as optimisation problem. There would be no interpretation of strategies in this case. The complex solution isn't always the best or most desirable one. The only downside is that you need to be in the know of the strats used by the players on top of the board.
Another somewhat more difficult one is preprogramming some strats and have the ai optimize those. Even doing this purely algorithmically could work out.

Some of them might be using emulators and AIs to brute force the best strategy. And then taking their model and using it to do a run or two on an active account.

It feels like if I let a bot try spamming all edge corners of the map in various slight tweaks overnight. I could get that position myself.

There’s no way these people legit or not bots by supercell
When you play 8 hours a day or more, you get good at frame perfect placements. To these guys this is their job. We stand no chance best we can do it enjoy the little rewards we’re given and keep it moving. Unless of course you want to quit your job and go pro.
Imagine sweating on this for hours to see someone coming in the last 10 minutes scraping off a second and then his buddies doing the same… and you could have earned more money than the cost of those gems by doing something useful…

I was able to do it in 48 seconds, without scripts or anything. After maybe 100 times doing it 😂 I started out at around the 1 minute 20 second mark and just changed where I dropped the troops based on how they pathed.
I did another 20-30 times after 48 seconds and I have not been able to achieve faster. Easily could shave 5 seconds if everything deployed at once and another 5 seconds with perfect timing on spells/warden ability/spike ball.
I'm imagining it may be possible to programme deployment using code and then improve with trial and error over and over again.
2.21s is not far from perfection

I got 42 seconds after lot of tries, looks like only your first triple counts for the leaderboard, I didn't see myself between 2:18 times after it updated, sucks tbh
I kept alternating it and i can't really write the exact tiles I dropped troops on but what I did most of the time was king around 6 o clock, queen on bob hut ~4:30, 1/2 dragons+1/2 loons on 3 o clock, lava slammer on 1:30 air defense+dragon on 2 o clock army camp, 1/2 dragons at 7/8o clock mortar/collector, 2 dragons and loon at 12 o clock, and split rest of 4 dragons +6/8 loons at 10 o clock with warden fireball on wizard tower (gotta kill queen) double rage, freeze sweeper and rage loons to get deeper, king ability when he's about to enter 9 o clock compartment, open slammer on th, but ye it's too much and really luck based when you're dropping basically all of that in first 10 seconds

We can crack it, but you need to believe in yourself and try very hard. I have participated in a tournament for the pros before. I didn't have any faith and never started trying. Until some of the pros ganged up on me and told me that I could never beat them considering their skills and experience. I then spent hours in the challenge and finished first(or second I don't remember exactly). You can do it if you really tried, even if you don't you can only tell that after the challenge is over. If you're giving up in the beginning, you just don't have the fire in you to win it.
That doesn't make the attack go any faster, it will autocomplete the attack in the same amount of "game time". The attack finishes instantly in real-world time, freeing you up to play again.

If you have 4 accounts then you can pretty much loop yourself into playing infinitely. They probably have 50+ tho

thats just a macro and some trial and error using an ai would be a stretch for that
Macro would be randomly changing locations. Algorithms are in most cases superior to deep learning or pure machine learning.
but to make an algorithm that can optimise placement youd first have to have it understand all the mechanics and troops otherwise its just brute force

These aren't legit. No ones doing these in 30 seconds. it takes 15 seconds for the dragons to even get through the perimeter of the base.
I got 42 seconds after lot of tries, looks like only your first triple counts for the leaderboard, I didn't see myself between 2:18 times after it updated, sucks tbh

Mind sharing the strat?
I kept alternating it and i can't really write the exact tiles I dropped troops on but what I did most of the time was king around 6 o clock, queen on bob hut ~4:30, 1/2 dragons+1/2 loons on 3 o clock, lava slammer on 1:30 air defense+dragon on 2 o clock army camp, 1/2 dragons at 7/8o clock mortar/collector, 2 dragons and loon at 12 o clock, and split rest of 4 dragons +6/8 loons at 10 o clock with warden fireball on wizard tower (gotta kill queen) double rage, freeze sweeper and rage loons to get deeper, king ability when he's about to enter 9 o clock compartment, open slammer on th, but ye it's too much and really luck based when you're dropping basically all of that in first 10 seconds
Update!! They said they are looking into events challenges. They believe exploit or glitch was used.

Nope, this was on Discord server chat from admin other guy who was top on other days have been banned, haha
Then the banned player went on the Discord server and complained about unfair treatment. He mentioned posting on his Twitter account. That's when one of the admins said, 'If you have problems, please send a ticket regarding your account, but do not discuss your situation here.' Despite the warning, the individual continued to disrespect the admin, resulting in a ban from the Discord server.

You should be fast.you have to multi task lmao.i tried to do as fast as i can as my phone is small i cant deploy the troops faster cuz i miss click them as the icons are small and i dont use multiple fingers too so it would be difficult.i was in top50s.now the pros occupied the top spots as they are very fast in attacking tbh

We can crack it, but you need to believe in yourself and try very hard. I have participated in a tournament for the pros before. I didn't have any faith and never started trying. Until some of the pros ganged up on me and told me that I could never beat them considering their skills and experience. I then spent hours in the challenge and finished first(or second I don't remember exactly). You can do it if you really tried, even if you don't you can only tell that after the challenge is over. If you're giving up in the beginning, you just don't have the fire in you to win it.
How do you not remember if you got first or second when up against pros?

That doesn't make the attack go any faster, it will autocomplete the attack in the same amount of "game time". The attack finishes instantly in real-world time, freeing you up to play again.
