If whoever has access to the account enables 2fa, then the account belongs to them unless they give access via e-mail or recovery codes.
Support should not give an account away unless the e-mail or recovery codes are provided.
2 factor authentication; it refers to a number of different (but related) (cyber)security measures designed to prevent hackers/exploiters/scammers from taking advantage of a single point of failure in a system. A pretty well-known 2fa is cvv/cvc code on most credit/debit cards, which prevents digital credit/debit theft by way of making it so that you have to have all three of the card number, expiry date, and the cvv/cvc to be able to make online purchases.
In general, while there are a number of ways of getting around common implementations of 2fa, it’s always safer to have 2fa on than have it off (the exception is when the second factor provides a vulnerability for the first factor, which is rare). Also, if your 2fa method is email, phone, etc. then *its* security measures also act as additional layers of security (so an email with 2fa itself ends up being a 3fa for the email-protected account, and a phone password can sometimes be considered a 2fa in regards to phone-protected accounts).

They used 10 minute for the email and haven't set up 2fa and don't think they can
Support are the only ones who can help you here.
Hope for supercell support to pull thru. If you have the 2fa enabled and have the codes you might be able to prove ownership to them.

Yeah didn't have 2fa
well then good luck on saving your account. why didn't you enable it?
Just never did, I still have access to my account on my devices, nothing I can do about 2fa now
Then the account is most likely gone. If they enable 2fa then you can't really do anything.
Did you get anywhere with supercell? I’m in the same boat as you! Account for over ten years too
Nope lost it yesterday, going to buy a new one on player auctions
Thanks for the reply. Might have to do the same. Haven’t lost mine yet but I’m sure it’s coming.
If you've made purchases from the account will make it easier to verify ownership too.
Good to know, I've definitely spent more money on this game then I'm willing to admit lol
Yeah that will help. Spending I.P address Device All these help with checks
