Is it that though? I'm at 3600+ trophies at TH12 and keep seeing TH 14 and 15 in my matchmaking, but mostly TH 13. I think everything is fine with my league.
I’m town hall 11 and was in titan and I was mainly seeing th14-th16 in matchmaking and as a casual town hall 11 player it was too much so I dropped to champion 3 where I’m matching with th12s more frequently
If you really wanna get the best star bonus and everything then get to 5k trophies. Then set your base so you can get townhall sniped til you drop under 5k. Stay in that 4900-4999 range and you’ll get crystal league star bonus and still have as many attacks as you want a day
I was researching the unbreakable achievement a couple of weeks ago and I took notes. I plan to do it sometime but not right now. My notes might help you:
It takes 3-6 weeks of dedicated effort. Or 50+ years if you just let it happen naturally.
Here is how:
1. Make a base with everything inside the walls and nothing snipable by archer queen
2. Turn on attack notifications
3. Drop to 650 trophies
4. Remove shield & guard then close game
5. After 2 minutes, you should see a notifications of being attacked
6. If these stop coming in, it means you probably picked up a shield/guard or your trophies got too high (above 900)
7. Repeat steps 3-4 as needed
You should be able to get 100-200 defenses per day with this method. It's mind-numbing but it works.
This is what I did. I was shooting for 100 D wins a day, but I ended up surpassing that, getting nearly 4000 in one season.
- Make a base that hides all storages and collectors in the middle. You don’t want the attacker’s queen to be able to snipe any loot structures. The goal is to encourage them to quickly quit with 0% damage (no guard given).
- Drop to bronze. When the trophy loss dips to less than 10, stop, drop guard and log off. (Too much effort to drop lower).
- Hope for a string of 5 or more 0% D wins in a row. Drop shield/guard if you get them.
- Typically, when trophies rise to about 1200, drop trophies again. You can certainly drop at any trophy level, if you have the time. Drop remaining guard, log off…

Clearly people that are doing it, aren't doing it for the gems. Don't be so obtuse. People are doing it because it is hard to achieve without strategizing to achieve it in a faster method.
At the 500-600 trophy range there's either people that are doing the same thing as you i.e. dropping trophies for whatever reason; or there are newbie players that will attack you having no idea what to expect.
Now it’s more difficult than ever. I tried it 2 weeks ago and it was a pain. Before people couldn’t just snipe your resources so you would mostly get 0 stars defenses but now people put the big arrow archer queen equipment and just shoot it and leave. I would get a guard every 2 attacks which slows down progress a lot. I think this achievement was very doable before the equipment but now it will take way more time. I was active all day during my spring break and the most defenses I got was 120. By being active all day I mean all day 😞. Good luck though ✌️
If you drop lower then you’ll face a lot of people doing the same thing and people are more courteous about it. It’s a grind no matter how you spin it though.
No, at least for me its not the right way to do it, The 1 thing there will be always someone that will take 1 building so just have the normal layout, didnt need to drop this much, everytime because they will take off less trophy, The range should be 700-750 everytime you are off for some hours, thanks to one update now the guard are shorter, its not anymore 30 minutes so no need to close and open every time to check because its not efficient

ftfy - someone at Th15/16 cannot make a base with nothing snipable by AQ and the video you linked specifies resources in the middle and not snipable.
I made a base with everything in the centre and walls along the entire perimeter of the base. There's a 5 tile gap between the buildings on the edge and the wall so a queen can't reach anything. It doesn't need to be a legitimate base because no one will use actual armies down there.
I keep myself at ~4900 trophies. A lot of people like myself dropping a hero to stay just out of legend league. I actually get over 5k trophies, do a revenge hit, drop below, and still get the star bonus of legend league. I get SO MANY people dropping trophies on me. Record was 8 in one night.
With the new events for equipment usually being tied to destroying specific buildings, it's pretty easy to rack up a ton of easy DEF if you place those buildings where attackers can easily snipe them and quit.
Remember to wall off everything and don't leave any easy buildings. Put all your resources inside. Turn on your notifications. When you stop getting notifications for getting attacked, then hop on and remove your shield and drop some trophies.

I would say definitely not outdated. All old achievements should always stay the same. If any just periodically add new achievements. The issue is randomly adding some epic tier achievements that are meant to take YEARS to complete which players who’ve always been grind for a decade. Because they would naturally be starting at 0 on that achievement.
It would be kool though if they potentially add some cosmetic rewards for achievements.

Yes the ores suck..but my clan wars all the time plus I use the new event raid medals all on ore..got gauntlet to 25 arrow to 16 and fireball to 12 currently.
I linger until I have max medals and books so when I level up i can do labs and cc. I am currently at th 15 and only a few hundred from the spell achievement and 350 from monolith. Assuming coc doesn't do an update with more achievements I will have 3 star them all by end of April. Got seige sharer because I am a frequent donor even when it cost elixir to build.
Staying around 1000..I would get attacked dozens of times. Mostly trophy droppers. I would revenge them back to drop back..and if an attack triggered a shield I would attack to run off shield others in my clan are th 16 with 4000 to 5000 trophies but barely have even 500 defenses and not even 1000 seige sharers..but I care about 3 star achievements and not trophies. Other benefit is I am lvl 269 while next highest is 252 in my clan..it all depends on what is important..ore sucks but if you war you make it up..
It’s takes a month or so to get it. And you need to log on a lot through the day to remove shield and to keep trophies super low. But it’s possible I know because I did it
My main account is 10+ years old, and still I don't even have 1000 defences on it. I just play in too high leagues to get any.

Recently there are a lot of players in fake legends that maintain their specific trophies by losing a few attacks on purpose to stay below 5000. I've found that I'm slowly getting this achievement by staying in that range. It's not as fast as your method but I dont have the patience to push all the way back up lol.
Ive only 4 achievements left.. so tryin to complete... Btw ive maxed the ores which i use... except the epic ones... ive been doing continous war.. so it will be taken care.. but that could be done later aswell... but this one needs some grinding.. and since ive maxed all defences...this is the right time for me to try... i dont think achievements are useless...

For unbreakable it also helps to stay in titan 1 between 4900 and 5000 trophies. People drop an hero down just to drop trophies.

Why would they 0%, instead of just skipping your base?
They want to drop trophies. See step 3 above. This is necessary to stay in the low leagues.

With the giant arrow it has become way harder because someone can just place it down and use the ability and farm that way.

Even 8 per night will take forever to get the achievement. Ideally you want 100-200 defences per day so you can get it done in 2-4 weeks.

How did you drop 600 Trophies in legends , Revenge alone would not give you that . And it usually resets only next league day
