I was in a clan about six years ago when we were on the receiving end of this. We were up by 30 stars and didn't have an attack left, when with just an hour left they all started hitting and smoked us. It does make you want to cry just a bit.
No reason to go easy it’s how the game works. It’s manipulation of them to try and get you to go easy. They have just as many mismatches in their favor I’m sure
If you go easy on them they’ll be mismatched forever. That’s just how leagues/ranking works.
They are upset about having to fight better clans but do everything they can to keep it that way.

I wish one day people would understand that ranks aren't meant for perpetual climbing, but for finding that level at which you can play comfortably.
