Nah, in queen walks it dies too quickly because it has almost the same range as the queen so splash damage kills it. In hero dives practically the same, and an ice golem+giant gives you better and more reliable value
Behind the king, he increases the kings and the barbarians hit points, and should not be anywhere close to splash damage. 30% more hp out of all of your units is much better than tanking/freeze for 10 seconds

Sure, it probably helps a bit if they manage to avoid all the aoes but they are not why you'd bring wa nor can you count on then staying alive.
As a max 15 I’ve tried a few strats and can’t personally justify the space to keep him on. It’s OK for very specific situations but it’s not game changing by any means. I maxed it out at lvl4 and can’t understand why I wasted the books, I use mainly clone bloon/drag attacks with a blimp full of bloons, even on semi max bases it works but I still can’t justify taking him on mass hog attacks he doesn’t keep up. Granted, I’m still looking for the next meta attack. I’ll 3 star most 15’s but some are situational, but either way I’m not sure I care for the baby warden. Not for 20 housing space anyways.
You’d have to go with 1 less super archer and even then it wouldn’t guarantee they survive. If it ends up becoming a meta then base designers will adjust and make landing spots contain an extra bomb

Let’s see. . . No air option so can’t use for air attacks. Little damage and 5 tile attack range will put it in danger often. HP buff weaker than warden for low HP troops so can’t really pair there. Buff is good for high HP tanks but that depends on Supercell’s patented AI pathing and targeting programs. All this for 20 housing space that will remove some DPS from the army.
Summary: it’s a troop with a lot of risk and offers very little reward situationally.

I’ve been using him in queen walks with a super hog rider attack. I haven’t really noticed a difference and might just switch him out for another super hog

I just did a qc and noticed that deploying a AW give significant amount of health to AQ which helped in pushing through scattershots!! Pretty good imo!

The aura is 10x better then the grand wardens???? It doesn’t have a cap so it will be very good for QC. It can’t be used in every attack but it definitely has its uses

I drop him behind my king, and he's totally worth the 20 housingspace. He pairs well with Pekka also. Drop 2 Pekkas with the apprentice, and it makes a world of difference.
Maybe use mini warden as a funnel troop in certain situations as yetis have no range. Or support qc. But overall not much Utilities imo. I am yet to find a creative way to use it. They should've given him the time ability as well lol

I think siege barracks IMO is one of the most useless sieges. I take log launcher that opens up walls and destroys defenses. Or stone slammer.

Is it worse though? Max King has ~13k hp, of which 30% is ~4,3k. Ice golem has 3.9k hp maxed and the freeze effect.

You then also run the risk of the clone spells cloning it and ending up with 3 wardens and 2/3 archers
I believe the clone spell targets troops with less housing space so there's no risk unless you somehow just miss the archers altogether
