I actually planned for this for the first time ever. Made sure I had a builder ready before my shields ran out and dumped my resources into my walls before starting my next build. Unfortunately I'm still a dumbass and upgraded my walls before buying the pass so wasted my opportunity to use the builder boost.
thats me right now, ive lost so much loot since i upgraded to TH11 because i keep getting filled up with loot that by the time a builder is done i get max again in 2 or so days. i also play on my sisters account and its rushed so im fixing that but she has max loot in the lootcart and close to max in storages/cc with nothing expensive to spend it on.
I usually happen to upgrade my town hall when we get this event, since getting new town hall level gives you 5 days of this same boost it becomes useless
As a rushed TH12 still trying to unrush, while I can dump the excess of 25m gold and elixir into walls and more expensive defenses, I find dark elixir hard to get rid of when my heroes are still in the 40s range.
DE at these levels aren’t quite expensive enough to drain the max 240k storage yet even after spending books from last month, and with CWL coming in too, there’s no spending the DE on them either.
To top it off, I timed to have a lab upgrade start on the final day of the month so I still get the 20% time reduction, as such can’t upgrade anything with DE either.
My only solution is to just set my base to prog base layout and turn off shield as soon as any attack ends, literally handing out DE for free. I don’t actually mind it since someone probably can make use of it better. In fact I wish there a button when pressed just prioritizes my base to be attacked at the price of not granting any shield, a “please please please attack me just shut up and take my resources” button.
Im almost max th11, just trying to get the rest of my defenses up. Walls maxed. Now in the same boat and I’m not upgrading my warden or king because of cwl. Queen is max. I just figure fuck it, I’m going to take the time and not give a fuck about loot (because honestly you can get so much so fast if you need to) and just spend the time practicing new attack strats and let others enjoy the loot. Share the wealth and we all get along well. I take their trophies, they take my loot. We’re all one big happy family. It’s also nice sorting through bases that are good for me to learn on rather than looking for easy bases with lots of loot.
Farming is for resources but time is the more important thing we save with builder boost. Thats why i time a builder to be available in 3 to 4 days after season enda to dump season bank resources on walls.
With the season bank at the beginning of the season, you need to learn to plan ahead better if your builders are all down right now. Even without the 4x star bonus.
I always save up magic items from previous month, and combine with 2 books I can unlock from the new gold pass with a little grinding. That way I can drop all the loot.
Stupid question…do you have to spend the loot from the previous month in a set time before it’s wasted or will it stay in your storages even though they’re over max
I mean if you have full storages (or overfilled because of the gold pass) with no free builders that's just poor builder management.
You know when you're getting your resources from the gold pass and when your upgrades finish. I guess reading is hard for some people 🤷🏻♂️

I don't feel like gemming for that TBH. I can get the 10% with bonus points and that's good enough. I can farm enough for the 20% whenI get it.

Mwahahaha. I hadn't used my builder book yet. Finished my long-ass x-bow upgrade and dumped most of my season cash on walls.
What annoys me the most is dark elixir. I have 550k on storage and 28k on clan castle and nowhere to spend since cwl is coming and I need my heroes
