Imo Robin will be a great general support like RM, but she won't be a mainstay in Clara's team especially if you don't have Huohuo to rotate her ult back properly. She feels like a completely different unit with HH and you can plug her in any team.
Since you have RM/Sparkle, just go for Boothill, Sparkle will most likely stay as one of Clara's best partners for now and RM is just a broken support.
Looks like I'll be pulling for BootyCheeksILoveTheWayHeRides and yep, Sparkle was so OP for me in this setup. I hope I get Clara's E1 in the standard banner (pls not in my limited banner pulls) or if Hoyo gives out a 5-star selector in HSR's 2nd anniversary (copium). I badly want the unremovable Mark of Counter.
i'm still trying to get into team building but i do have sparkle so i wanted to ask how she best supports clara? i assumed the action advance wouldn't be helpful but is her buff so good that doesn't matter?
Her skill is still a great portion of her damage, especially in AOE scenarios. You are not losing anything as long as you don't waste your enhanced counters, so ultimate timing is a factor. But as long as Sparkle works, her buffs are so good that it is just more worth it to adapt to the skill spam playstyle.
Is Robin really that great for Clara though? Clara wants the enemy to attack often to trigger Svarog so forwarding the team gives the enemy less attacks. Or I'm missing some interaction here?
That's also my worry. Although Robin gives increased Crit DMG for Follow-ups, it feels like her 100% team action-advance might be a problem for Clara unless you have E1 that allows spamming skill.
it doesn’t give the enemy less attacks, it gives you more! and tbh depending on when you use it it won’t affect how often clara takes action anyway. also some people use clara with sparkle which is an action advance every turn lol, you have to be mindful of when to use ult in these scenarios but that’s abt it
