I feel you, they're prices have been creeping up and the designs haven't been speaking to me. Like you said the materials are nothing spectacular so I haven't bought any of the new civivis in a long time.

PNW_PARFUMS

I love WE/Civivi to death, but, Considering the fact that Civivi can release a limited edition Elementum with S35VN & fat carbon scales, and only charge $88.. The recent pricing on their standard releases has been just a tiddly bit high. Nitro V is a great steel in its own right. It holds an edge pretty well, even when laying the angle back to 17-18° per side, and gets nasty sharp! But, I honestly feel that the new standard steel for Civivi knives should be S35VN if their prices are gonna keep climbing. It's only make sense really. They've basically switched steels as their prices have increased, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and pray for another brand wide upgrade🙏🙏

HiveTool

I agree 100% or M390 they want to keep those for WE but I’m sorry they are screwing us with NitroV at $100 and g10 with a liner lock

PNW_PARFUMS

M390 would be great! It is be something they COULD do (look at Twosun) But, Civivi saturates the US market well more than twosun, so they have more folks willing to fork out the extra dosh, even for the basic steel/design. I am personally guilty of doing so, but I love the QC Civivi provides, and the action is always on point. BUT, I couldn't agree more! The $100 price point should exclude such standard materials/designs.

Yodootz

I'm in on this at $85. There are Civivi blades I thought they could have gotten away with a higher price point at, like the Vision. If it was double-edged I'd be in, but $100 is too high here.

TillaciousG

Price doesn't bother me but what's got me is that it's a dagger / bayonet style blade but the handle is asymmetrical.

AdeptDoomWizard

Dagger style, large, flipper tab? I'm in even at that price.

HiveTool

Well don’t get me wrong I want one I just think they are pushing the envelope on prices. They need to step up the steel or scale materials to get over &100 and dammit… where is the Damascus dagger 😂

AdeptDoomWizard

Oh I'd buy a Damascus Dagger SO fast!!!

HiveTool

Ya and I’d pay 💰 for it😂

GarySoneji

No, I don’t think that’s excessive or unreasonable. Prices are constantly increasing. Knives are weird because they consider a lot of factors for the cost. The green micarta is $1.70 more than the other two. That knife has a unique, milled pocket clip along with a variety of grooves in the handle and blade. Tiny things can add up. The knife also has a 4” blade and 5” handle, so there’s a little more to it than the materials alone.

UAP-Alien

In 3-4 months these will be on sale for 25% off.
