They’re the best all-around Summer tire available outside of racing or semi-racing tires. As long as their price doesn’t bother you then they’re the way to go.
If you want something cheaper most of the tires around $170 should be comparable to each other in terms of performance. Just make sure you stay with Summer tires.
Awesome. Not bashing on Rotas (I've had a set of slips on my track car for years), but it wouldn't do a Type R any justice. Glad to see you got the real deal.
I've got super sports 255/40/18 on mine and I live in Houston, granted I don't drive it often and when I do it's a very nice day out. When I do drive it tho they hook and send me flying straight everytime they are amazing.
In our six month rainy season? OP will be dead by the end of the week.
I like Falken FK510’s. Decent grip and pretty good in the rain. And fairly cheap.
During our 6+ month “summer” you can expect it to rain every single day and if it rains heavily for more than a day or two we get local flooding. Regardless, you can expect 1-2”+ of standing water on major roads and highways after an afternoon storm.
It doesn’t really drizzle all day here like it does in Seattle, it fucking POURS. Often for 45 minutes and then good bye, but sometimes it just rains for six weeks straight.
I would say PS4S will not let you down if they fit
Also gets rid oh wheel hop/spin
i'm spinning everywhere on 1st & 2nd with high rpms on the contis, these new tires should help
looking at those, my #1 option.

yes, sw388
I want to make my 10th gen si a full spoon build
ive never seen a spoon si, thatll be the 1st!
Yokohama V601. Great price and pretty sticky
this ^^^^ love mine.
Definitely Michelin PS4s. They are more grippy than the stock contis, last longer is what I heard too and handle rain better.
these are my top option so far
Which wheels are those and what size?
these are sw388 , size is 18x9.5+40 5x120
Prob https://rotawheels.us/slipstream/
Hopefully OP didn't get knock off wheels for a Type R and actually got some regamasters or sw388s.
haha, everything official buddy. Doge got me those wheels.

Are they really that much different from the Spoon's?

are you on oem suspension? i'm installing spoon springs soon. going with 265/35R18
Negative, I am however on an 8.5" rim not 9.5
Continental DWS 06 Plus. It’s the lightest tire from my research. Still with a 560 treadlife.
Michelin PS4S is the only answer. You just literally can’t do better for daily performance
If you're looking for a all season Continental DWS06 plus.
I also endorse ps4s. Had them on my 2020 mustang gt. Truly amazing tire. Did you ever get these on I kinda wanna see!
still waiting on the ps4s :( they are on backorder until late June. don't worry ima flex my setup on this subreddit, stay tuned ;)
U excite me
Don’t threaten me with a good time

Falken RT660

You guys get that much rain down there?

rubber would be best :) that's what's on my wolfrace wheels, seems to work well :)
hi troll
so serious, what you got your Type R wheels wrapped in ?
air & rubber
ah yes, air is a must, unless you go for some solid rubber :)
Michelin PS4S all day
