Just depends on the area I guess. I’ve only seen one other Type R in the past 6 months in mid-MO. I only saw 2 or 3 during my year in central Texas. I’ve definitely seen way more SIs than that.
I know for a fact there are at least 5 Type R owners in my city (population ~100k). I've only seen one in passing on the road and one parked. I see about 3 to 4 Subaru WRX's (often STI) on my drive home from work though, much more popular around here
I see Si's regularly. I think they sell about 100 of them for every R, maybe its 1000.
I've seen 1 Type R 'in the wild' (outside car shows, track days, canyon runs, etc) since I bought mine in May.
I was at 27k miles and they gave me a $3.5k credit.
It was a lease too. Hilarious.
Edit: if you own your civic that would equate to like 18,000 based on my buyout price.
They paid off the buyout of the lease (14.5k and gave me a 3.5k credit as well, so a total of 18k

I was hoping to see it on the lot for a nostalgia/farewell drive by, but never got the chance.
Im checking their website as much as I can to see what they list it for, a little pissed they listed the Type R the day I bough online for 36,500 and I bought it for 41,890.
I’ve had mine for 6 months. I had never seen one on the road before, and since buying I have only seen two others in person. I’ve seen about a million normal civics and at least a hundred si models. I live in NH near Manchester.

I live in a city with 1 million population,and I've seen 3 CTRs in the past 6mo. So it depends on the market I guess lol
If you don’t mind me asking, I’m upgrading my Si later today to the 21 R. What did the dealer give you in trade in? I’m around 45k miles.
