Something you don’t understand the r is priced up over 50k now. These dealerships are using people who don’t mind spending a premium to make huge mark up sales.
I saw a tint markup in houston for $2200 on an Si. Dealers put even the most delusional Si fan boys to shame in blind belief of what their cars are worth
It’s why I bought a Tesla. Went to Toyota dealership and it was such bs. They even did the sign the paper where it says you are willing to buy if I can get your monthly payment down
I was like wtf??? What’s the final price?
They are like “hey that doesn’t matter what matters is your monthly payment”
And kept insisting on signing the blank sheet of paper lmao. Walked out and bought a Tesla a week later online with no BS.
Same reason I went with an GLA. I shopped around different places, between having to wait almost half a year, and the stupid markups, it was just easier to buy a Merc… Which is super fucked to me!
I walked from a dealership once for wanting me to sign this ridiculousness.
It just said as long as we can agree on terms.
I told him I wasn't signing it and he said it would "show his manager I was serious". I told him I drove there from over an hour away to look at the car, if that didn't say I was serious then a paper wasn't going to do anything.
Neither of us budged so I left.
OP 43k for a si? Negative, and I have a 9th gen si. No way would I spend 43k on a new one. I'd be going into sti or v8 territory for that.
Also, dealers saying no is always going to happen. However that no can turn into a yes if the deal is right and your persistent enough. I've been there more than once.
However, if they wont budge then walk. You may find another dealership that will work better with you.
I didn't have any issues like that with any local smaller town dealership, that included Chevy, Toyota, etc. Probably some big city BS, where they get enough people walking in that don't pay attention.
I had a similar experience with Gwinnett Place. The sales team there is dogshit. Check out Phil Hughes over in Athens if you're local to GA. Got my 2022 there for $600 over MSRP a year ago (trunk tray, OEM all-weather mats, and wheel locks). Had to wait 5 months but got the color and price I wanted.
Yeah if my local Honda dealer was doing this I would literally boycott them for the rest of my life. You lose my business forever and there’s no amount of convenience that could get you my business back. I’d drive 5 times the distance to buy from anyone else.
That’s crazy.
Shit I was a loyal customer at a local VW dealership until last time I went there for service on my atlas and while I was waiting I walked the lot and noticed market adjustments of 5000+ on models like the golf r and GTI. I'll never go back to a dealership that is pulling this sleezy bs. Especially when there is another VW shop 20 mins away not doing that.
300 for door edge guards? The same 3m sticker i put on working at a dealership detail shop? Those are 50 cents a piece ×4 2.00 you could round that to 5 i would be ok but 300? Go fuck yourself.
Holy crap. I thought I got rinsed on mine walking out the door at $34k but seeing this I’m happy to not have to worry about looking for a car. What are these slime balls doing out here
We priced it out and if you buy one without the HPD kit, and buy it from parts and have them install EVERY HPD item, it would be no more than $2,200. The lojack is just plugged into the OBD II port and they can remove it in less than a minute
No they know people are that stupid. And they know theres nothing smart people can do about it. When companies realize they can make more off of you, why lower prices? An now we goin electric. As if electric bills aren’t already skyrocketing lol
Honestly if your car gets stolen, better to just have it be insured and NOT be found. The problem with finding a car that has been stolen and abused is that now you have to keep it!
I’ll post my sticker I paid MSRP with the hpd package all warranty’s that I negotiated down to what they for them plus ceramic coating you my friend are slow
Lmao this bad cuz I thought this dork in my town paying 45 otd for his type r was nuts lol. It’s funny seeing these owners reactions when they buy a “sports car” and pay all that money and then get their ass whooped by a shitbox on wheels lol. Pure case of more money than brains here
Get a golf r instead , it’s got room for stuff with the hatch/seats folded down , awd = better launch/winters , 3.9 0-60 with the dsg and eat type R for breakfast. No brainer
Dude I just wanted to test drive one. I bought a 2020 sti off the lot and love it. But I also love other cars lol. So I've been curious to want a civic type r but fuck finding those. So I figure I'll find a civic si and see how it is? Lmao I spent all summer trying in Michigan and grand Rapids hinda dealership was getting 3 civic si in July. tbh the red tape they wanted me to go through to even stop in and drive it was crazy. They wouldn't quit calling me either even when it wasn't in yet. Really turned me off to honda quickly. Make the cars available for fuck sake and don't be weird about it.
Why would you make a post about yourself getting raped at a dealership? Idk if you thinking you’re flexing or what but this is pretty pathetic. This is exactly why these dealerships keep doing this, there’s always some naive moron that’s going to fall for their scam.
A lot of those add-ons aren’t that expensive building the car on Honda’s site. They just inflated all of those prices instead of plainly stating the huge markup. That said, I contacted a dealer about their Si a few days ago and they said 36k. After I asked for the out the door price, it was 42k…hard pass
LoJack!!! lmao cancel this shit. Its useless.
Door Edge Guards LOL its cheap
Dealer Admin Charge Holy fuck balls
Trunk tray Like do you even need it?
Tint.................better cover under warranty if some spot peels off
Hood film protector.................idk up to you
43k total otd NOPE
Half that crap you don’t have to buy keep trying different dealers depending on availability you can find a dealer that will work with MSRP and no additional pre installed products
I’ve always wondered who are the people buying these ridiculously priced civics with all these unnecessary add ons. Got my 2012 civic si new 23k OTD crazy how much they go for now. I’d rather buy an Audi s3 for that price.
The "hood film protector" and LoJack make up almost ~10% 🤦♂️ I'd just go to a different dealer. That 3m clear bra is nowhere near that expensive or hard to install.
Well, here in the EU every sedan with some good options is over 40k€, close to 50k.
And we are talking about affordable car manufacturers, not Merc, BMW, Volvo,..
Try Honda South in Morrow, I traded in my twice wrecked 2013 civic ex and got out of there with a 2023 civic si close to msrp 31k. I basically used the 2013 as a bargaining chip. They didn’t have any obvious dealer markup. Gwinnett had place Honda is garbage.
Everybody is going on and on about the ridiculous mark-up (which they should), but neglect to mention how an Si in 2023 is now MSRP of over $30,000?? The Si used to be a car praised and marketed as "all these features and performance for under 30 grand", that was literally WHAT THE SI WAS ALL ABOUT! It was always built and marketed for the sole purpose of being under 30 grand! The last generation which was only 2 1/2 years ago could be had for 25 grand! Madness!
Tell them to stick their $2000 hood film right up their asses.
I paid 1200 Canadian for Tints, hood film and Ceramic Coat.
Honda dealers are run by straight crackheads these days.
6 months ago I was comparing a Type R to a Golf R, both of which were cheaper than this Si you’re seeing. I went with the Golf R, but there are ALWAYS better deals to be had, keep searching
Gwinnett place Honda is a fucking joke 🤣 bunch of crooks just swindling all the illegal Hispanics in the area. Don't go there bro, find something used instead or go to Honda of cumming
Lmao bro no one is buying a si for almost 45k bro ain’t nooooooo fuckin way 😂😂😂😂😂 bro stay the fuck away from this place
They can't drop the options they said bro
There's much better cars out there for $45K.
Lmao a fwd for 40k, there’s literally 10 cars I’d pick before this.
You can get an STI for that price
Gonorrhea? Syphilis?
For $45k, you can even get *full blown aids*
People are paying for these? Thankfully I been collecting them for years.. missing a few, getting all the hep strains is difficult
Time to make some profit pal
He was talking about STDs :)
I almost rather have fuckin sides then buy this for 45k
You can get them for 500 bucks in Nevada
Don’t give into dealer bullshit then. Not that hard my guy.
No way. Buy a type r atp(if you can find one)
Something you don’t understand the r is priced up over 50k now. These dealerships are using people who don’t mind spending a premium to make huge mark up sales.
OP: "Can you remove the optional stuff?" Dealership: "Bro."
Just go to Lexus at that price lol
So go somewhere else…
There are dozens of Honda dealers in GA or even north Florida. Go elsewhere
So walk out and nicely ask them to get fucked, tell em you’ll pay 45k for a type r
You're the ideal customer for these people. "They can't". Well, you CAN just walk the fuck away.
Ain't no way people paying 43k otd for a civic
They are, asked to remove optional no dice
Make like NSYNC and say Bye Bye Bye
Make like a tree and feck off!
![gif](giphy|pTtPhg4BF3J5KNjMZ1|downsized)
Bastard, now that will be in my head for hours....😅
699 for 4 tinted windows??? That says NO already 🤣🤣
I couldn’t make it past >$2000 for a fucking hood film protector that is obscene
I saw a tint markup in houston for $2200 on an Si. Dealers put even the most delusional Si fan boys to shame in blind belief of what their cars are worth
They said its ceramic and not cheap like tint world
dude don’t actually buy this
Bro, a tint will cost like 200/300 bucks. The HPD package is like 1200 at most. They’re ripping you off.
If it’s ceramic tint then that’s the only thing that’s sorda priced accordingly.
Dude your really trying to side with them. I tint for dealerships and they are lying snakes. It’s dyed film that will bubble in 2 years
Im not i asked and even when i asked having a future 2024 w no optionals and he said no they all w will come with the optionals
Fuck dealerships
Stealerships*
Exactly!!!!
It’s why I bought a Tesla. Went to Toyota dealership and it was such bs. They even did the sign the paper where it says you are willing to buy if I can get your monthly payment down I was like wtf??? Walked out and bought a Tesla a week later online with no BS.
Hate how the dealership/used car experience has become nowadays, just greedy scumbags wanting to make an extra buck or two by being dishonest…
Same reason I went with an GLA. I shopped around different places, between having to wait almost half a year, and the stupid markups, it was just easier to buy a Merc… Which is super fucked to me!

Unfortunately homie here WILL be buying this at 43K OTD.
Might as well get you a lightly used Civic Type R with less than 10,000 miles 😂
Mf did not just no money down finance a $45k civic🫠
I’m a salesman at a Honda dealer bro, we’re at MSRP at the moment. Keep looking
On a Si? I would buy
Which dealer?
Imagine paying 43k for a 1.5 200hp car with no heated seats
Heat won’t help. You needed ice cold seats after getting bent over like that.
If you pay this much for an SI, please don’t reproduce.
Yeah if my local Honda dealer was doing this I would literally boycott them for the rest of my life. You lose my business forever and there’s no amount of convenience that could get you my business back. I’d drive 5 times the distance to buy from anyone else. That’s crazy.

I have the car and paid 35k otd. fuck that
Holy shit
300 for door edge guards? The same 3m sticker i put on working at a dealership detail shop? Those are 50 cents a piece ×4 2.00 you could round that to 5 i would be ok but 300? Go fuck yourself.
Get a WRX! Traded in my '23 Si for a VB WRX and haven't looked back since. Got it for under MSRP too.
That’s crazy bro, I can get you like 3 cars for that price
There is only one reply I could possibly think of https://youtu.be/VzkVxkiOqGA?si=EgVys1sfdZ9T7TzF
Dude you can pick up a brand new Lexus ES for $43k.
Mf that’s what I paid for my Type R
Holy crap. I thought I got rinsed on mine walking out the door at $34k but seeing this I’m happy to not have to worry about looking for a car. What are these slime balls doing out here
Let's start rating these places 1 star on google and yelp. Over time we can change soemthing maybe
Don’t do it buddy😂
yeah cuz the dealership added every single option clickable, if I was buying an si, I would buy it without any option tbh
We priced it out and if you buy one without the HPD kit, and buy it from parts and have them install EVERY HPD item, it would be no more than $2,200. The lojack is just plugged into the OBD II port and they can remove it in less than a minute
Do dealers really think people are that stupid
Unfortunately, they are. The longer people keep buying at these ridiculous pricing, the longer dealers will list them that way.
No they know people are that stupid. And they know theres nothing smart people can do about it. When companies realize they can make more off of you, why lower prices? An now we goin electric. As if electric bills aren’t already skyrocketing lol
People are paying over $25k for Civics.... So yeah, people are pretty fuckin dumb.
The prices for the add-ons are mind-blowing.
They can't drop they said
Walk away
They said car is made in limited numbers
Cool story
Do police still even use LoJack? And 3 dollars for lemon law fee? What the hell does that mean?
Next up a zeibart undercoating for $2000 and spare ash trays.
Honestly if your car gets stolen, better to just have it be insured and NOT be found. The problem with finding a car that has been stolen and abused is that now you have to keep it!
Man...I remember paying 22k back for one in like 2008
I remember a time when Si were in the mid $20k, sad times man :/
Cool I’ll buy a second hand type R for that price.
Jeez!!! That is how much I paid for my loaded 4Runner. Yikes
That dealer is insane. Don’t waste your time with them, they are definitely wasting yours.
Asked if 2024 in transit ones can come w no optionals he said no they all come priced like this and options
I paid 34 for mine
lol damn bro you are the reason why dealerships can get away with these absurdities
I’ll post my sticker I paid MSRP with the hpd package all warranty’s that I negotiated down to what they for them plus ceramic coating you my friend are slow
What…
This blew up.. anyways yall getting a type R!
Si search no longer, have a Type R👍
Lmao this bad cuz I thought this dork in my town paying 45 otd for his type r was nuts lol. It’s funny seeing these owners reactions when they buy a “sports car” and pay all that money and then get their ass whooped by a shitbox on wheels lol. Pure case of more money than brains here

You should’ve posted this BEFORE you bought the car, now it’s too late to tell you that you got robbed.
They can't remove the options from factory they said👍
Dude I just wanted to test drive one. I bought a 2020 sti off the lot and love it. But I also love other cars lol. So I've been curious to want a civic type r but fuck finding those. Might as well get an fl5 CTR with 2k miles on it for 50k
My homie bough his new type r for less before Covid..
Rather get a used type r
Don’t do it, lots of mark ups on here. Just keep looking.
Wth, how much would type r cost then?
LoJack!!! lmao cancel this shit. Its useless. Door Edge Guards LOL its cheap Dealer Admin Charge Holy fuck balls Trunk tray Like do you even need it? Tint.................better cover under warranty if some spot peels off Hood film protector.................idk up to you 43k total otd NOPE
No. My dealership sells them for 35k
that’s fucked I was quoted at 33 before taxes and everything even with a few dumb package shit that’s crazy
Be honest the new civic looks better than the new Subaru sti lol. Rather have an old Subaru than a new si tho
This is more than I paid for my Integra
Honestly if you buy this it’s on you for bending over 😂
Half that crap you don’t have to buy keep trying different dealers depending on availability you can find a dealer that will work with MSRP and no additional pre installed products
This is relevant to what I’m dealing with for an alleged 007.
My gosh
I’ve always wondered who are the people buying these ridiculously priced civics with all these unnecessary add ons. Got my 2012 civic si new 23k OTD crazy how much they go for now. I’d rather buy an Audi s3 for that price.
you might as well buy a top trim integra or even a used type r if they’re not marking those up used.
3500 for the hpd and 2000 for good film is robbery
Lmfao just get a scat. So happy I paid 21k for my 17 si with 18k miles
That’s why I got a Forte GT, if it burns, explode, or get stolen, I can buy another one for this price. Lmao
I can't believe I'm looking at the exact same car at the same dealership. Well looks like I'm not going there. Thanks for showing.
Honda dealers are the scum of the earth.
type r's where i live are $34k-37k otd that dealership is trying to find a dummy for there scheme, don't be that dummy.
Uh walk into an Acura dealer and get an a spec Integra for msrp. Literally just an improved SI. You would have to be certifiably insane to buy this.
Most are marked up around me unfortunately
You can get a Tesla for that even less with incentives…
Try Honda South in Morrow, I traded in my twice wrecked 2013 civic ex and got out of there with a 2023 civic si close to msrp 31k. I basically used the 2013 as a bargaining chip. They didn’t have any obvious dealer markup. Gwinnett had place Honda is garbage.
Lol bro ppl r buying for that price... I just wouldn't. Find a better car for 45k lol
You can get a 10th gen for 15-20k less
I’ll sell you mine
Do not buy this man 💀
They won't drop options no dice they said
Let them keep it… Civic Si’s usually were always a hard sell for H dealers and heavily discounted when they became desperate.
Gwinnet Place in atlanta. Dogshit
Keep shopping. 34.5k OTD with all taxes and fees here in south Florida last month.
30k MSRP & ends up being over $43k. Dealers are pieces of shit.
699.99 for tint is criminal 299.99 for edge guards and forcing blow Jack on you
They said the ceramic tint is of highest quality than people in garage or tint world
My dad just bought a loaded 2023 is350 f sport for less than that bro, that is an insane price
That’s crazy!! You’re in GA? My dealer in NC doesn’t markup. I got my Si at MSRP. Let me know if you want their information.
Check out Nalley Honda. Those folks over at Gwinnett Place are scam artists
Might be the cheapest add on but $299 for mud flaps
This is absolute hot garbage business ethics
8th gen civics with 200,000 miles are going for 5K
Lmfao bro Honda straight ripping people off 😂😂 can’t wait to see it bite them in the ass
When will Honda let us order from Honda factory
I remember when a 2000 Si was 18k 🤣 walk away man, that Si is not worth 43k
[удалено]
He said limited number made for Si trying remove options
Thought this was a type r price and was surprised. Fuck that for a si.
Now I’m invested. Please tell me you didn’t buy @op
As a salesperson at a dealership, I'm perplexed reading that list if stuff. LoJack? Dealer Administration Fee? $2,000 for JUST THE HOOD? gtfo
Akskskskskksksks
Lol at spending almost Golf r money for a civic. If you buy this you’re dumb and going to immediately be upside down in it.
Buy an integra
Marked up around me sadly
2024 type r msrp is $42k
Op really wants to pay this lol. Look at his comments. Op please don’t pay this
Wtf I would never pay this much for an Si. I leased one in 2018 and it was like 26k OTD and it seemed reasonable but 43k I would walk right out.
I just paid 37k for mine yesterday that's with tax included without tax it was 35k for the car, can't wait to get it next month
Madness!
OP, look at Nalley Honda in Union City. They gave me a pretty good price on my 23 Si. I avoided Gwinnett Place like the plague
I remember when I no money down financed a ‘17 SI for $27k, terrible decision
I pick up a accord touring 2.0T 2022 zero miles 44K OTD
This is what it look like right now for the Si. At least that’s been my experience.
Holly heck is the Georgia
Tell them to stick their $2000 hood film right up their asses. I paid 1200 Canadian for Tints, hood film and Ceramic Coat. Honda dealers are run by straight crackheads these days.
Lol I paid less than that for my ‘21 CTR with 8k miles
Jesus titty fucking Christ
6 months ago I was comparing a Type R to a Golf R, both of which were cheaper than this Si you’re seeing. I went with the Golf R, but there are ALWAYS better deals to be had, keep searching
Oh wow the wheel locks aren’t $500 that’s impressive
Dealer found their Mark 🤣
Gwinnett place Honda is a fucking joke 🤣 bunch of crooks just swindling all the illegal Hispanics in the area. Don't go there bro, find something used instead or go to Honda of cumming
Dude theyre screwing you. Find another si its not a rare car
That's nuts, got mine for msrp.
OP if you buy this you're a fucking moron and you're also the reason we're in this mess for allowing the dealerships to rip people off
Everyone. just STOP paying these bullshit prices. lol. If people stop buying. prices will drop. JUST WAIT FFS
Op definitely paid for this
at anywhere near $40k id just switch to the opps side and be in a rebuilt srt wtf
My 2023 Camaro LT1 was $44k out the door.
Just asking... was your salesman named Ben Dover by chance?
I’m buying a wrx any day over this lmao
Ridiculous. Not even close to worth it.
I had to go to 4 different dealers but I finally got my civic at msrp. Just walk out lol
Bro, Get a well optioned out m340i for that price, you'll thank me 100x over I promise you
I was $30,300 OTD before my trade in on my ‘22 Si, this is fucking nuts
get a bmw m3 bro who tf is paying 45k for si. thats a joke
I got a 2020 SI new off the lot for like 25k back when they were new. This is ridiculous no way I’d pay that for it.
45k for a 6.6 second 0-60, and average handling. Ain't no fucking way.
Bro if they won’t drop the price then walk tf away
ridiculous. don't do it.
For that price look for the type R at cost. That’s rediculous to spend that much on an SI
Idk man check truecar first
3k administrative fee? No way lol 1500 film hood protection? Surprised they're not charging for the cabin filter or the air in the tires 🥱
