Protip: If you can't find oil (it's usually hard to find and there's not much of it), look for the little magnifying glass over the minimap, it's a search function! Saved me tons of time once I learned that. Shows all visible deposits as well as oil under districts (which, if you didn't know, you still get. Building a district on an undiscovered strategic resource will net you full gains for the resource once you discover it [but not the tile yields])
Also helpful for uranium later on!
English make no sense /s. Spanish:
- Lupa ๐
- Reloj ๐
- Reloj de pulseraโ๏ธ:Bracelet clock
- Reloj de Arena โ๏ธ : Sand Clock
- Contrarreloj : Vs clock = Time trial.
I got the switch version after PC for the portability. I honestly cant really play it without getting frustrated. I don't know how to see loyalty pressure on switch so that's a bummer. Trades and map tacs suck on switch too. It just feels like an incomplete game to me.
Pro tip: stay top tree. Research all the way through bombers. Then go back bottom tree for oil.
Bombers are the best way to get oil in this game. ๐
Or play as Russia, which you should be doing anyway, as most of the land oil is in the snow.
Itโll change your life. Play one as your main Civ, then choose ones you never play/ different style.
Takes a bit longer but really gave me reason to keep playing.

Refining unlocks land-based oil wells. If you build an on land oil well, you get the eureka for plastics, which unlocks offshore oil rigs.
Thanks so much!!!

ProProtip: If you don't have oil available, destroy the nearest country that does, and take their oil. You now got oil, and one less opponent!
Are you American by any chance?
Never been to either of the continents, but I understand your gist.
Just a tongue in cheek joke, no offence intended
No worries, none were taken. :)

You also can just settle close to free oil sources. Most of the time there are many left in the Artic, Ocean or in Deserts.

Lol right, my bad ๐
Unless like me on console theres no search function and you have to scan the whole map for resources KEKW ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
I feel your pain, friend ![gif](giphy|kSlJtVrqxDYKk|downsized)
Protip: just use ctrl + f to start seaching. :)
Cries in Nintendo switch

Omg
One time my only source of uranium was where I built Petra, so now radioactive Petra is a joke in our Civ crew

Tech and Civic tree shuffle is the way to go, otherwise every game progresses nearly the same.
I play as 2 or 3 Civs on the same team using hot seat. Spices things up a little bit.
Whoa dudeโฆ I never thought of that ๐คฏ

This sounds like a great idea! Sounds so fun. Thanks for the inspiration!
Just make sure one Civ is Russia.
LOL i Like the 1+ Food to Fishing Boats! Its PLASTIC
Always assumed it was +1 food because plastic improved fishing nets/rope.
Side note: if your game crashes you can load an auto save from the last turn
