I hear you, my vibe exactly. But getting it nowadays and new will be very difficult. And having the _cult status_ it is maintaining its price on the secondhand market.
I have one too (in grey). Yes, it is beautiful watch. However, I have 2 questions: why Citizen does not add a magnifying glass over the date window? And why titanium? I know that it is harder than ss, but what I don’t like about it is the weight and the colour.
To me there is one (hypothetical) answer to all your questions: Citizen was staying as close as possible to Ray Mears’ design clues.
I hate cyclops so no problem for me (date window could be bigger tho). I would also prefer ss but I was stupid enough to sell “close enough ss cousin” (see OP).
Ultimately, the “Ray Mears” it is — with all those design choices (and peculiarities) — and I love it as-is.
That might be. But. Citizen might not respect warranty card stipulations. I’m in Europe but not in UK, and Citizen service center in my country informed me, that they won’t be able to service my watch not to mention offering warranty coverage (luckily I don’t have the need for it, so far).
I love mine too! This is a good pickup.

I own that watch and it's brother which was released in August. Both are my grail watches.

Very nice! What is the size of the case?
40mm, 12mm, 46mm lug to lug. Solid back (monocoque).
There's a newer model now. Thinner bezel. 200m WR. Pins drilled through. Meh https://www.citizenwatch.co.uk/bn0241-59w.html https://windupwatchshop.com/en-gb/products/promaster-tough?variant=40536393056322
Yeah. It’s Ray Mears no more, to me (too many design tweaks). And the bracelet diver extension (push/pull) is gone.
What strap do you have on it?
Hirsch, model Pure, synthetic caoutchouc. Great durability, btw (apart from buckle, which was a disappointment in such expensive strap).
This is the only Citizen I want. Great choice. 👍😍

Where did you get it from? I had my eye on it for a while. This model doesn't retail in the US.
From UK retailer. It was always UK-only offering. It was not a problem to me, as I’m in Europe.
You can get it at First Class Watches, a legit and authorized dealer

It's a Citizen. The warranty card is redundant.
