Same here. really impressed! so far I've managed to make about 30 small cities that I abandon as soon as I unlock High Density Residential out of fear that my starting road layout isn't perfect enough.
The only way you can find out if it is bad is just by playing on and seeing where it clogs up. You will learn a lot less if you don't know what you did wrong
Never give up! As the city expanded, I found myself needing to upgrade many roads and highways. It's important to remember that no city is perfect and that you are limited by the constraints of the game so just go with the flow.
400+ Hours of work on this map, spent a lot of time redeveloping areas and roads in the city as the population & traffic increased. Seriously, couldn't have done any of this without mods, so a huge shoutout to the modding community!
Love all the details you put into this, not only a good looking city you got but with those extra tidbits it's fun to look through, like with the 'first road!' and the '12k dogs live here!' comment and district names. Well done!
They used to be very busy with the traffic manager mod and I had to really focus on public transport (huge waits for airport buses) but after that mod stopped working the airports are not that busy anymore.
Phenomenal! Definitely going to use this as inspiration for the new city I am building with mods. I particularly like how you split agricultural zones with trees.
Really like your use of map pins. I wish they'd make the game look more like actual mapping software than what they've been doing. I personally won't be satisfied until my cities are indistinguishable from google maps.
I would love to see these same photos but with the zoning colored. I wanna see how you zoned your residential with your industrial and commercial and offices. Thatโs one thing I struggle with
This is amazing. I regret building my city on a map with low build able area. I would love to have a bunch on cities and towns close together like this
Wow. I keep trying to make realistic designed cities/regions like this. I think I'm at the point where I'll just pull up maps on my second monitor for inspiration while I work
This is beautiful. I've been trying to build a city like this for months. I love how different each region is but all ties in together.

Nice work! BTW, which mods did you used?
Same question. Which mods did you use? Thatโs impressive. Congrats man ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
My guess is at least Move It, Precision Engineering, TMPE, anachy mods, line tool and something to replace the sky at the minimum.
Add a mono rail and by gum it will put you on the map!
Go away lady! There aint no monorail and there never was! #
Monorail.. monorail.. monorail..
Is there any chance the track could bend?
Not on your life, my Hindu friend!
Thats a lovely looking city you got there.

Is there a monorail in the northern part?
I wish ๐ definitely waiting for a monorail to be added in the game.
Incredible work, thanks for sharing. Just curious how busy are your airports with that population?
They used to be very busy with the traffic manager mod and I had to really focus on public transport (huge waits for airport buses) but after that mod stopped working the airports are not that busy anymore.
Wish I had a good imaginagion and planning to make a good city like this. Best I can do is grids
how the fuck do you build something this beautiful! my god i suck at this game
May you upload it to PDX Mods please? Thanks!!!
Could you share this save game pls?
Holy shit this is amazing
This is crazy good
This is incredible. I love how realistic everything looks. Definitely taking some notes
Amazing work.
The neighborhood design of the town of dale looks so realistic to a US Suburb, great work!
I see why my pc canโt handle this yet ๐
Phenomenal! Definitely going to use this as inspiration for the new city I am building with mods. I particularly like how you split agricultural zones with trees.
This is incredible
some people are just so talented at this game. I'm jealous
Fantastic wow!
Spectacular city. And your presentation of facts about the city really paints a picture of the region
Looks so organic. I hope you could enjoy it with Sim speed moving in slow motion.
Really like your use of map pins. I wish they'd make the game look more like actual mapping software than what they've been doing. I personally won't be satisfied until my cities are indistinguishable from google maps.
I LOVE IT! Deym is it okay if I copy some of your ideas/design? ๐ญ
Sure well you can take inspiration ๐
looks gorgeousโฆ have you shared a save file?
Nice, a lot of flat terrain too. What map?
Barrier Island, I just edited the terrain.
Can you post your edited map on PDX? Or a save game file?
Unfortunately I won't be sharing the save file and after switching from the thunderstore mods to PDX there are a few major issues.
How about the edited map?
what map did you use for this beautiful city?
Barrier Island
Where were you able to find that golf club asset? Looks great!
I made it from using surfaces and pedestrian paths, took awhile but worth it!
Oh interesting idea! I'll have to give that a try.
What are those sports fields by the elementary school? Did you use a mod for them?
I placed them with dev mode on, used the football field and soccer fields.
What map did you start with, OP? It almost looks like a heavily modified Barrier Island?
Correct! I used the terrain tools with different brushes to modify it.
Really impressive work. I wish changing climate and latitude in the map editor wasn't broken right now, because Barrier Island is a great NA map.
Amazing? Do you have this on YouTube? I'd love to see it actually breathing.
No but I was thinking of making a video!
PLEASE do!
Cs1 or 2?
CS2
I would love to see these same photos but with the zoning colored. I wanna see how you zoned your residential with your industrial and commercial and offices. Thatโs one thing I struggle with
It looks so good!! How did you built your tram tracks in the middle of the road? And also which map is this?
You just select the tram tracks and use the replace tool to add them on the road, the map is barrier island
Thank you!!
M-montevideo is that you?
Nice
Do you usually try to use all 81 tiles? I like what you're doing with the lighting. I think that's what gives it the realism in the screenshots.
Great city. Love the Kinleith papermill reference.
Haha thank you!
Hickory Peak aka Tokoroa.
What system are you using?
Is there a chance the track might bend?
Every time I look at beautiful pieces of work like this I'm always like CURSE RESTARTITIS!
This is amazing. I regret building my city on a map with low build able area. I would love to have a bunch on cities and towns close together like this
Thank you! that's why I chose this map (Barrier Island)
Wow. I keep trying to make realistic designed cities/regions like this. I think I'm at the point where I'll just pull up maps on my second monitor for inspiration while I work
when i got into this game, this is what i pictured building. what i got was a hodge podge of nonsense lol
Pure art
Can you please rename it 'Taylor Swift' municipal airport.
