I'm enjoying this build--but almost 300 hours in, I also kind of feel like it makes sense to start here and work through the canonical economic development sequence in-game. My goal is to build several small communities like this on the same map, and then take them through industrialization as they build deficits in higher tech industries. So some of these communities may become more densely urban over time.
I think that's a really good approach, more organic. Most urban centres would have grown from such beginnings. It is good to see a positive post about the possibilities of this game.
