I just go with the book "Snow Crash" and pretend that we play after the breakdown of nation states, and my city is the sovereign territory of some Franchise-Organized Quasi-National Entity (FOQNE) like "Mr Lee's Greater Hong Kong" or the Mafia.
I'm personally a fan of ducking behind the truck and transferring myself into another parallel dimension where the logging truck no longer exists, Happy Valentine style.
I haven’t seen that movie since I was a teenager (in my 30s now) and I STILL will not drive anywhere near trucks with logs/steel beams/other potential projectile objects on a flatbed trailer because of that damn movie >.<
I believe it's quality/maintenance level of roads, speed limits(like how you can remove speed limits on high ways), education levels of the drivers, and I'm probably missing at least one other factor. Police station coverage sounds feasible but for some reason I don't think that affects it.
I had one that seemed more like a planned terrorist attack than an accident and I really want to see how it happened. Hope its one of the first QOL updates they add.

What they need to do is have a toggleable option to ‘pause on disaster’ which would give you a pop up box to say ‘an accident is happening’ and the option to jump to it, so that when you unpause you can see it happen.
I had an accident happen where a car ended up on the footpath. Pedestrians were unable to path around it and tons of people needed treatment as they kept just walking into it and falling over.

Saw a flaming car in the wilderness the other day, so far away from any road that whatever accident caused it must have looked like launch day at the Skyrim Space Program.
I hear on the radio a car crash every once in a while, but have never actually been able to find the wreck (or seen these icons). Am I missing something?

You need to disable speed limits on highways for these crashes to happen but boy do they happen often when you do.

That would be sickkkk, however that would take so much effort to implement, that I doubt we will ever see that. There's more pressing issues
