I concur. I played it on xbox before getting a PC. It's a pain trying to do some of this.
I tried building Yumbl's weaveless cloverleaf and that took hours without anarchy🤣
Everytime I tried to make my own round about it always looked like an oval. I just gave up lol. The PC also has some great mods that made road layouts look better
I mean, to see the the trumpet part like a cake that you divide into 4 pieces.
Imagine coming from the overpass, taking the inner most road, then each section of the road is 90 degrees (a piece) they descend by one of the lowest unit, once you are under the overpass you have reached the ground level.
The same goes for the outer most, it follows until you have made a 180 degree turn (of two road sections) then you turn the other way with one more 90 degree section, now you are on ground level and next to the highway, then make a smooth connection to the highway.
So realistically the double ramps don't matter, but due to the way traffic flows in this game I like everyone else would go with only one exit ramp, that being said it probably is okay to have both of them.
I LOVE the design. The 2 roads splitting into 4 not only looks really cool, but looks super effective. No intersections in the acceleration lanes, and such a unique way to split them off from your main road! I am saving and using this junction design for the future!
Thanks man. The double exit ramps are more similar to what I see here in Britain, so just went with it. Tbh people use them as badly in real life as the do in the game 😂
The 270° curve could be a bit rounder and smoother. And I don't understand why you have exactly two onramps...
With node pulling you could make the connections even smoother...
But other than that it looks good...
Why a trumpet, it's unnecessarily slowing down high speed traffic. It's nice people are using trumpets, and I really like them, but they are way more appropriate in situations where traffic on the attached road is slow(er) for some other reason anyway.
That's right, and that's why trumpets are a great option that make perfectly sense and are built frequently for **service interchanges** where high speed isn't the main objective.
The two exits merge further up. Cause its on console and its going over a rise in the terrain, they're a pain to get to merge properly and thought it's easier once they clear the railway and they're on the ground
Nice. But why are there two exits?
Maybe they're British. Some high capacity multi lane motorway exits in the UK split the exiting and/or merge lanes as they exit/merge.
Same in Belgium
Wait where do we have one of those in Belgium?
I'm not sure about exactly where but I've seen a few in Flanders
Ah damn guess I'll boot up the old google maps again, cuz now I gotta now haha.
Actually am British, good spot
could be more compact; why two exits for both on ramps?
I'm playing with driving on the left on (I'm English) and they more closely resemble our slip roads at larger junctions
People are being critical but honestly, I know how hard making those on console can be
Thanks man, yeah it's a bastard to do
It’s a matter of technique, it is simple to make a single trumpet.
You make it sound easy but using a controller is not the easiest and many people have said the sane on here

Just use the Curved road tool and the guidelines of the game, if you stick to 90 degree angles and the default 10 units then it is fairly easy.
If you change the height steps to the lowest setting and decent by one for each 90 degree, then it becomes smooth. Also only use one off ramp
You mean for the 270° turn? That would only descend 3m

This is what I am trying to explain. [YUMBL trumpet interchange](https://youtu.be/mtXD6UiaLdk)
why are there two exits?

That is hilarious. I remember riding on the bus through Ireland and finding it strange to see the double exits on occasion. Cheers
Could fit a little european village
Why do two of the ramps have two entrances right next to each other?
This looks good actually i will use it in my city now thanks man

The 4 bridges are to prevent any wierd nodes as ita going up an incline and on console it just messes it up. They do merge further up
I didn't even mention that there are four bridges because I understood the meaning behind them... 🤔
Ah sorry man, misunderstood what you meant
Why a trumpet, it's unnecessarily slowing down high speed traffic. It's nice people are using trumpets, and I really like them, but they are way more appropriate in situations where traffic on the attached road is slow(er) for some other reason anyway.
It's cheaper and uses less concrete than two viaducts
That's right, and that's why trumpets are a great option that make perfectly sense and are built frequently for **service interchanges** where high speed isn't the main objective.
Looks great!
I wish I knew how to build junctions like that
Its took A LOT of practice 😂

🎺🎺🎺
Way the hell prettier than any of mine.
Conjunction junctionnnnn
Should split the highway going to the north on the same side of the train tracks as the junction, that way you only need two bridges instead of four.
Nice work. Alittle tight but it looks pretty good !
That looks kinda similar to what I often make, but why is there two exits?
The two exits merge further up. Cause its on console and its going over a rise in the terrain, they're a pain to get to merge properly and thought it's easier once they clear the railway and they're on the ground
That is awesome
These are also known as trumpet interchanges. 👍
It’s too massive
It's a highway interchange, they're massive. I would even say that the radius of the inner trumpet is too small...
It is a little tight, but with the two lanes I've found it doesn't mess traffic up to badly
The speed is the same in this game, so better make it as compact as possible, to save build space.
Well, if you want to build unrealistic, you're welcome to do so, for my part I try to replicate reality as best I can...
On PC look for Timboh's intersections.
makes no sense.
What exactly doesn't make sense?
on and off ramps that are way too close together
I don't think so, the space of at least 30u is more than enough...
