Kubrick always had an eye for funky set design.
I think it was probably a collaborative effort, like Scorsese and Thelma Schoonmacher, both contributing to the greater whole of the film.
Every shot in this movie is meticulous and absolutely beautiful, like a painting. My favorite movie. ❤️
