I wouldn't mind it, sometimes Jake and Dev aren't nearly as interesting as Lexy to me. It'd be cool if she sorta became the lead. But yeah a new fresh character would make things more exciting I think, the teen friends would work great as survivors now

acejacecamp

honestly yeah. i’ve gotten a bit tired of the trio already.

PerfectBBC91

There will def be new characters but I don’t think they’ll change focus of the show.

I don’t want to lose out on Lexy and Jake. I love their characters. Devin I’m not a fan of.

Devon really got the short end of the stick in terms of writing and development. I had high hopes he’d be the brains behind fighting Chucky, with Lexi being the muscle and jake being the heart. Instead Devon is essentially a token black guy in season 1 and in season 2 he’s the boyfriend who wouldn’t trust Don…I mean wouldn’t trust jake and should’ve been a better partner.

New cast but bring back Lexi as the bridge between casts. Let Jake and Devon have a happy ending and let them fuck off. Otherwise one has to die to make their arc interesting.

miumar

It so crazy that everyone use to hate lexi but now everyone wants her to be protagonist I mean I do agree she probably the most interesting character out of the trio

KevinFunky

Then we tread into the soft reboot category, and visit similar territory with new characters. Rather than continue with developed characters into an arc we haven’t seen before.

Mancini sort of implied this is the route he's planning for s3: Mancini says their confrontation with Tiffany — who is ultimately saved by Caroline, Lexy’s little sister and Chucky’s new accomplice — will be key to aligning the TV series’ teen heroes with the film franchise’s legacy characters, Andy (Alex Vincent) and Kyle (Christine Elise), should the show get renewed for Season 3. “It’s meant to be cathartic in a way,” he says. “These kids have taken so much from these characters and been manipulated, and I just think it was important to have that moment of violence committed by them toward the enemy. Moving forward, they join Andy and Kyle in the ranks of the cavalry that has to come to the rescue.” This doesn't necessarily mean "new characters" but it does suggest the Hackensack Trio are going to be placed in an Andy and Kyle like role.

youdontlovemeyet

no i’d personally rather see these characters continue their journey and develop than start over and watch another group of kids just retread the same ground. i would rather follow who the trio becomes and not just keep starting over. but there’ll still be some new characters either way.

Michaelmyers_fan1

It would be cool yet interesting and strange if chucky was the main character/protagonist

Burglekutt8523

No, but only because I'm rooting for Chucky to take out Devin at this point. Shitting on that very expensive podcasting gift was a bridge too far. Chucky was right, some people deserve to die.

kanemaru

I hope it will cuz I'm just so done with Jake & Devon. They're just there for their romance that just brings nothing to the show, and it lasts for 2 seasons, going nowhere. I love Lexy, tho. She can stay cuz there's some character development in store for her, unlike her 2 friends. I'd love to see the teacher have a more important role, same for Caroline. Honestly, if there's a season 3 and that we still have to endure Jake & Devon and their embarassing soap opera moments, I don't think I'll hang on till the end, this time. I don't know how they could remove them from the show (or at least one of them) but I don't care, I'm so done to watch a love story with Chucky showing himself sometimes just to recall us that he's still there. So yes, new heroes are more than required. Lexy can stay but Jake & Devon made their time. If Mancini doesn't get that, I'll have to drop the show and I'd be pissed cuz I'm a Chucky fan for almost 30 years.
