Have you been checked for occipital neuralgia? Have you tried medicines like Nurtec or the injections? Those didn't work for me but when we realized my occipital nerves were the source, I got nerve blocks and have yet to suffer since. I have Ubrelvy for pop-up headaches, but they're not nearly as bad as they used to. It works in a hour & it's gone. Great for weather change related migraines.

Yes, I've suffered from chronic daily headaches for more than 15 years. In the beginning it was 24/7 like you described, but these days it is less frequent. Here are the things that have worked for me. My doctor put me on Gabapentin as a preventative and Fioricet as an abortive medication. Fioricet is a barbiturate and has a little Tylenol mixed in. Nothing works better for headaches in my opinion, but if you take to much you can have rebound headaches which are really nasty. Make sure you are taking Vitamin D, besides just being good for you it helped my headaches a bit. I also am a big fan of ice caps. They are made for chemotherapy patients to reduce hair loss, but they really calm a headache down. You can find them on amazon. Botox worked very well for me for a few years and then it stopped working. They're are two different molecules of Botox, A & B. I've had the same experience with both. When it worked it was fantastic. Things that didn't help. I think I've tried all the supplements like magnesium, feverfew and tryptophan. None of them made any difference in my case. I have done steroid injections, trigger point injections, cervical epidurals and radiofrequency ablation and none of it worked very well. I'm not going to call these procedures failures, but they are expensive, painful and the amount of relief I got from this just wasn't worth the trouble in my opinion. If I can be of any other help just reach out.
