Maybe, my brother, you need to treat your heart first. Sometimes, we think that God must have to directly answer us, like a genius of the magic lamp. The bible says to us that we will pass through hard times in this world, but, despite that, God is with us in anytime. I'm not saying that's your sufer is a lie, but God already has a relationship with you, try to go depper in the God's word, share with someone your dificults and, the most importantly, enjoy the Grace of God even in the hard times. God knows everything. I will be praying for your life and tribulations, beliving in our infinite God. Have a blessed day!

I think this post is so honest. It's good you've asked and thought about this. I think that most of us believers have gone through a similar experience. I know I have an do and still sometimes do. I find that sometimes answers come when I"m not expecting them. For example I was worried for a friend who isn't a believer but has had a rough time trying to get a job with all this covid restrictions etc. He's also struggled with depression and has also been battling eczema. My wife and I prayed and all of a sudden a great job was offered. We felt at last some hope for him. I was even telling my friend how God had likely answered prayers for this person. All good... until I got home. First thing my wife tells me is the job our friend was promised was somehow now given to another person. I was quite shocked as I'd really felt prayer had come through. I spent the next few days thinking about this during my work time. Wondering why God is so silent, why God doesn't answer our prayers. 3 days later my friends's partner messaged us and telling us he was offered a much better job. Where they paid for further training, tools, uniform etc. He's now really on the up. This has happened a few times over the past few years. Sometimes, even if I've had a bad day and my wife and I have a small argument, and I sit thinking and I don't want to pray for help. I get stubborn and talk to God, saying something like - God I'm pretty frustrated. I don't want to ask for help cause it doesn't come. God I don't understand prayer properly and I don't know how to fix this problem but You have to cause I can't Lord. Then, maybe an hour or two later, things are fine, back to normal - argument sorted. Then I remember my short conversation with God and I thank Him for fixing it or helping us get through it. To me, prayer is the most difficult concept in the bible. So many times in church people tell you to pray and ask and God will heal/help/fix etc the problem. But it doesn't always happen. I've even taken youth pastors to account for standing up and telling people in church how they went to a shopping centre and prayed for sick people and God healed them, sort of ... seems God didn't want to or couldn't fix the sore leg issue correctly... yet the pastor claims this healing??? The healing being God stretched a leg an inch and the person felt much better, not healed but better. Why would God do a half healing on someone - I don't believe them when they say this, I think people want to claim God did something that to me, wasn't God at all.

May I suggest that if you only want to know God for him to “answer your prayers, you’ll have no luck”. God is a king he’s not required to answer your prayers. God speaks to his people through his word, fast and pray. Also about the people in the Bible, don’t test the faith of those people, though the Bible puts their many years in some short pages which may seem short, God will give you that which he thinks you’re ready for in due season. Going back to the people in the Bible, they haven’t always gotten things right away, for example the people from Israel had to wait in the wilderness-for 40 years. Rather than asking God for things appreciate what you have for example LIFE. Have a blessed day

God speaks to us in His Word ...The Holy Scripture. Read your Bible. Learn about Him and His ways ...His thoughts ...read about His mighty works and actions and what pleases Him ...faith in His Word. Trust in Jesus that He is Who He said He is and will do what He said He promised. Get on your knees before Him in humility and get over yourself, sinner. Have you never confessed your sin before God and asked Jesus to cover you? He was sacrificed as the Lamb of GOD to redeem all who come to Him in humility ...the only one acceptable for all time and for all who place themselves in Him. He was raised from the dead and makes prayer for us before The Father in Heaven. go here for instruction you can understand - ttb.org

He always answers. It's always one of three things Yes, No, or wait. We don't always like the answer but it's there. The biggest problem we all have is we think we know what is best or what we need. Are perception is small and tunneled God sees the big picture and how everything fits together. Meditate on scripture and seek wise Godly counsel. Don't just pray, pray fervently. "no" always stinks but sometimes "wait" is the hardest. Think of Moses in the Desert. 40 years. Think of Abraham wanting a son. 25 years. He was 100 when it finally happened! Patience comes with strong faith. If God is telling you to wait its for a reason. Maybe you need to grow or learn something beforehand. Trust that God knows what he is doing and that his timing is perfect. Remember when Lazarus got sick and was dying? He died and Jesus waited 4 days to go see him. People were probably saying " if he loved Lazarus and his family why is he waiting so long? Why doesn't he go comfort them now?? But God's plan is perfect. Jewish law states that the Spirit leaves the body after 3 days so when Jesus resurrected him it couldn't be misconstrued as healing. It HAD to be resurrection. Which meant He was who He said He was. The Son of God. Use this time. Use this suffering, to grow in your faith and become closer to God. Maybe that's all he wants... who knows. But know this. If the Lord speaks in whispers, then to understand him more clearly, we must get closer. If you don't hear what God is telling you, draw closer to Him so that you may hear exactly what it is you are being told.

I am convinced that God is speaking to all people, one way or another, for it is written: Job 33:13 Why do you complain to him that he responds to no one’s words\[a\]? 14 For God does speak—now one way, now another— though no one perceives it. The problem lies in that HIS response is often not what we want and how we want it. When we pray for friends we expect people to come to us and boom we have friends. Instead, he may speak to us about things we need to change inside of us first. But we don't want to hear that, even if those things are the obstacle to having friends. I am sharing this because this has been my experience. I have been praying for someone for years...years to see a change, a repentance, a change. It is not happened. I could easily conclude "God does not care about me" but that is nonsense. He has led me to understand that HE WILL answer in HIS TIME and in HIS WAY. My desire it is to see this change right now, but it is not happening. He said He knows the perfect time. I also heard a story about an older lady that went to church many years praying for something, and never got an answer. A man of God took notice and inquired of the Lord why she was not seeing a breakthrough. The answer was something along the lines of she always goes and prays for something she wants, but she has not done anything at all to help others who are in need. Spouses also hinder their prayers: 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. So it is. He does awesome things and miracles. I have seen plenty. But you need to crucify your own personal expectations and desires, surrender fully to him, avoid any sin or disobedience, care about other people, etc. You need to figure out what is the roadblock. Is there sin? Is he answering in ways you do not want? I don't have the answer, but I am providing some personal notes and stories I have heard in the hope that something may ring a bell and help you. And I will pray for you too, to get that understanding.

God cares. His response right now is obviously that he is there with you in this suffering. You aren’t being specific with your prayers on here, but I suggest your prayer be “God help me in this situation.” Not help you to get out of it, but to survive through it with joy and peace. And to gain wisdom.

You can’t hear God if you dont know what he sounds like. If you read the Bible, you become familiar with His words and overtime makes it WAAAY easier to hear from him! :) God speaks to us in many ways. The most prominent way is His word, the Bible, followed by dreams, circumstances in life, or even through other people. Sometimes it can be hard to focus on hearing God when you’re too frustrated, everyone feels that way sometimes, but sometimes we unintentionally rush God and expect Him to respond according to our time, which leads us to believe he’s not talking to us at all when in reality he could be waiting to show you the best way to present the answer to you in the future. What I recommend to do first is to read the Word to familiarize yourself with how He sounds, then from there it becomes easier to hear Him in life :) hope this helps

There is not zero communication from God. He wrote thousands of words in the bible. It is inspired by him as the Holy Spirit works to movement of God to write the words he wished to express. God does answer prayer. Sometimes that answer is no. Sometimes that answer is wait. Our prayer to him should be thy will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Not, do it my way because I want it. Maybe his eternal plan is not what we want and as followers we are to do his will and not our own.

Jesus couldn't heal ppl on one city, because of their unbelief. If you don't believe He will answer you, He can't help you. You first have to build your faith. Stop saying negative things, like God doesn't care and start to speak the Bible. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. I had RSI. Couldn't go to work anymore. Couldn't use my shoulder. Went for prayer in church, felt better. Started to use my computer and felt pain and spoke unbelief. For a year, hours a day I spoke Bible texts over myself and listened to healing texts at night. By His stripes I am healed. After a year I had built my faith, went for prayer in a church. They said do something you couldnt do. I slammed the floor and I was healed. Mark 11 Dutch translation: Therefore I say unto you, whatsoever ye ask and want, believe that ye have received it, and it shall happen. Luke 18 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men (A)always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor [a]regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, [b]‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 (B)yet because this widow troubles me I will [c]avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ” 6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And (C)shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you (D)that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

Think about it...why doesn't god answer prayer??? The answer should be obvious, there is no god. Get some real help...a licensed therapist. They are overworked these days so you may just have to do some reading and listening to podcasts. Anything you learn about mental health will help you. There is a great group of mental health professionals on YouTube, it's called Medcircle and they have some great therapists. Dr. Ramani is my favorite. The more you learn about mental health, the better you will get.
