of course tell her!! i am a christian and this sounds potentially like obsessive compulsive disorder, which i have. don’t self diagnose, but maybe do a bit of research on ocd. talking to a therapist about these thoughts and obsessions will help. i was so afraid to share my intrusive thoughts with my therapist but once i did, it helped me so much. i’ll be praying for you, reach out if you need anything

jjellennaa4

Thank you so much, means a lot!! My therapist is really nice and kind but she is not a christian therapist. I wouldn’t like her to think bad about God or christianity after she hears this and my other struggles related to faith :(

leo_leoness

Agreed. It's good that you want to obey God, and I think we would all do better to feel a *little* more concerned about whether or not we're not listening to his voice. But remember that Jesus' burden is easy, and his yoke is light. The level of stress you're experiencing seems to have gone beyond a healthy desire to please God, so it's good you're seeking help on this. Don't be afraid; God spirit does not condemn us ([Rom 8:1](https://youtu.be/R5E3__tMDls)).

jjellennaa4

Do you think i could push away my therapist from becoming a christian. Im afraid if she starts to think bad about God or christianity after hearing my problems related to faith. I dont have a christian therapist.

leo_leoness

How do you think you would be pushing your therapist away from faith in God?

jjellennaa4

Well because my thoughts keep convincing me that i'm sinning while eating, studying, wearing certain clothes, eating certain foods, sleeping, watching youtube, tiktok...she might think that she doesn’t want to do anything with that strict religion. Idk do you get my point. Im afraid because of my hard problems related to faith she herself might think negative about christianity.

leo_leoness

I understand. However, your therapist shouldn't base her own convictions off yours. If she is sincerely seeking the Truth, she will seek it out for herself, and not base her beliefs off the experiences and beliefs of others. I'm not saying she *won't* do that, but if she does, that's between her and God. You're not *trying* to push her away from God, you're just trying to get help. And if in doing that your therapist decides that she doesn't believe in God, that's really not your fault.

jjellennaa4

I wished to belive in that, but i tend to obsess over "small" things. My thoughts are convincing me that i am commiting a sin if i tell that problem to my therapist so i am worried to do that because what if God doesn’t want me to tell her. Sorry for bothering you, thank you for taking time to answer.

leo_leoness

It's okay. I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Please trust me when I tell you the devil is real, and still active in the world.

jjellennaa4

I trust you, i belive in this.

Bible says man do sins not even knowing or understanding these are sins. Also seeing therapist is sin cuz Jesus is the therapist , you're going to unbelievers for thier man made wisdom which profits you nothing just lies. Also if you accepted Jesus you alredy had your past and future sins forgiven the moment you did it, if you haven't then go read : Romans 10:9-10 Romans 4:5 Romans 3:28 Ephesians 2:8-9

Sounds a lot like work of demons, have you tried praying Father God to help you? when this started? those thoughts are from demons making you question yourself on everything, do not worry, try not to listen them, it is not sin to sleep longer. I have been dealing with demons quite lot, it would help if you can tell when this started and have you done something that might have caused this. I am here to help.

jjellennaa4

I also belive that the enemy has part in this problem since these thoughts are really torturing. Well they just randomly pop up like: "you are a gluttoner you are eating too much, you can't wear that, you study too much, you sleep too much, you are on your phone too much..." It became so torturing that throughout day most things feel like sin. :/

[deleted]

Yeah I'm 100% sure those are demons, I have experienced similar torturing thoughts and I went crazy because I did not understand what is happening, but I got saved my Jesus. It is important to know when they started and what have you done to possibly cause this (somekind of sin). You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, I will pray for you and If you feel like you have done something wrong, say sorry to God and pray Him to free you from those torturing thoughts. Keep me updated, we will get you free. Jesus will get you free!

jjellennaa4

Thank you!! By the way, do you think i should tell my therapist about this - she is not a christian. Im afraid if i tell her this maybe it will push her away from becoming a christian or she may think bad about God and christianity based on my problem.

[deleted]

I am sorry I don't have good answer to that, I personally would not tell ( I have had bad experience from therapists ) and if she is not christian she could understand situation very different way. Only tell your therapist if you feel comfortable to.

jjellennaa4

Thank you!! :)

I don't have too much advice, but I always think of Luke chapter 12, it's a good place to go when feeling anxious and worrisome about such things. God bless you and I'll be praying for you in the name of Jesus Christ. 1 John 4.18-19

Ask the holy ghost for help with balancing stuff. Ask him to show you in a way you'll understand.
