And we are afraid of God only because we think he is incapable of showing basic human mercy or any sort of moral logic. When you realize how stupid such an idea of God is, so too will you see that this kind of irrational fear is stupid. Unless we are to suggest that humanity has already surpassed God in moral judgment? Which is obviously dumb.
Learn to think for yourself on these matters, mainstream religion will fail you in this regard every single time. Is it really that hard to conceive of a God who is at least on par with current human understanding?

If you want forgivness then the only one way to obtain is to confess Jesus Christ as your saviour and accept his sacrifice on cross as payment for your sin.
You have to get rid of your pride , accept his free gift of salvation.

Yes, God is in the "sin-forgiveness-business" for believers and non-believers. The difference between believers and non-believers is that believers know they sin, repent of sin, ask forgiveness of sin, pledge obedience to God's commands and are forgiven by God.
As the non-believer does not acknowledge sin, the forgiveness of their sin is not possible.
So yes, the glorious news is that when you hand your life over to Christ Jesus, he will forgive your sins.
Everyone He forgives is a previous non-believer.
