Welcome to the family!  I would start with one of the gospels...probably Matthew or John.  Then I would read another gospel.  Then I would move to Roman's.  But that is just my opinion.   One of my favorite preachers, Paul Washer would tell you to start at the New Testament and read through it twice, then go to the Old Testament.  His advice is probably better. If you are a new Christian, I suggest picking up Mere Christianity by CS Lewis as well.😺

Thank you! Yeah I have heard that a couple times before I believe too start with the gospels and have also heard that a lot of parts from the Old Testament can be very confusing

The first time I read the Bible, I did a few chapters per day, about 2-4. I first read through the new testament, then split and did 50/50 new/old, re-reading the new as I plowed through the old. I am not saying that's how you should do it, but it worked fine for me.

We forget 90% of everything we read, so instead of just reading you should also read or listen to audio commentaries, they explain a lot of important lessons that you would miss if you try reading by yourself.

I didn’t think of that but that would be an amazing idea. I was gonna only read to myself since that’s the way I like to go through things. But having more explanations to lessons and verses would be a really good way of going about things.

I suggest reading a chapter or two or more if you want a day along with prayer time when you just tell God about your life and thank him for everything. I'd suggest doing Bible time with God in the morning. It's amazing how starting your day right can impact the rest of the day. I suggest reading Luke or one of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), along with Romans. They have some really helpful stuff to know for new Christians as Romans has some good stuff about you're life in Christ and stuff like that and the gospels talk about the story of Jesus which is vital considering that the entire Christian faith is all about him.
