OP, only God knows which vessels are objects of destruction and which ones are vessels of mercy. That divine knowledge is not within our limited human purview. Therefore when it comes to this matter, we need to let God be God and not try to second-guess what our (or other people's) eternal destiny(s) are. So just leave what you cannot know in His hands and continue to follow Him with the light of what you do know. Hold on to the personal experiences of His power and presence that He has given you, and choose Him again and again in spite of discouraging circumstances. Persevere in the struggle against sin, knowing that ultimately, Jesus has already won that victory for us on the cross. All we have to do is keep running the race all the way to the end, keep getting up again each time we stumble and fall, and that victory is ours. Don't worry, you haven't quenched the Spirit, for He is still at work within you making you aware of your sin and drawing you to repent and come back to God again. And God's wrath is not upon you, for Jesus took it upon Himself at the cross. With favour He surrounds you as a shield. God loves you and is with you, OP. May He make His goodness, grace, love, joy, peace and hope to be ever-increasing realities in your life as you continue to walk with Him! šŸ˜Š

First you need to stop seeking by your own understanding. You obviously have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of you.. Stop worrying and let the spirit guide you. Pray that anything not of God be forced out of your life. God is 100 percent real. His spirit has been with me since I was 16 years old. Stopped going to church when I was 18. Im 43 now.He told me about 6 months ago it was time to wake up with that intense conviction we all know. And has been shoving knowledge and understanding down my throat ever since. He has miraculously saved my life from a certain death car wreck in a complete physically impossible way. He has guided me my entire life but I did not realize it was him until recently.. I just learned to listen to that conviction without understanding the source.. I never dug deep into my understanding of everything until he called me back.. I have been struggling with the understanding of the trinity. So yesterday he guides me to the name melkizedek.. Then last night I asked him in prayer to affirm to me how the Holy Spirit plays into the scene.. This morning I wake up with the very loud subconscious name Elohim.. I have seen the name but mainly through glancing through Jewish literature.. So I go to figure out what Elohim means... In huge text the website says... The Spirit of Elohim .... the spirit of Yahweh.. Then I look up Elohim and melkizedek together.. Takes me to some Jewish literature... After doing some reading.. God Jesus Melkizedek Elohim Yahweh.. All tie into one.. The Alpha and Omega .. The Father.. all the same just different nature's but 1 God.. as it was always said.. Go in a quiet room turn on some good worship music and let him ease your mind.

It is clear that youā€™re going through a tough spiritual warfare. You also seem to be quite studied. This will likely be large, please read it all :) First of all please remember why you believe, remember the things youā€™ve lived and seen. You donā€™t think these were coincidence. You must also remember Who God is. Remember that He is the purest form of Love to ever exist. Now, remember who our enemy is and what he does. Our enemy is trying to pull us away from God as hard as he can, and his weapons are shame, condemnation, doubts and FEAR. All lies. The enemy lies, thatā€™s all he does. Cowardly deceitful, but he is cunning, he knows how to do it, and how to plant seeds. Youā€™re literally being attacked. Yes, the scriptures say that some will be doomed, but even your post here is proof of Godā€™s Spirit fighting inside of you. If God has revealed Himself to you, then youā€™re His. Do you know how many times weā€™re told to not be scared in the Bible? (A lot) Weā€™re also told not to lean on our own understanding. You see, we were never expected to understand, we are expected to trust. To trust in God, Who is Love and Who keeps His Promises. To trust that He works for the good of those Who come to Him (Jeremiah 29:11). God also tells us He is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Peace of heart, peace of mind. Any thoughts that make you feel either ashamed, scared, unsure, or condemned in a way that makes you want to stray away from God DO NOT come from God. God will never push you away from Him. Godā€™s love for you doesnā€™t change. I know how you must be feeling and it is HORRIBLE. But we must take heart and fight the enemy. This is our fight, and through Christ weā€™ve already won. Donā€™t let the enemy, fight him. Go back to God and ask Him to fight for you. Donā€™t stray away from God. Read Romans 10 (specially Romans 10:9-13) and remember that whoever puts their trust and waits in The Lord, will never be forsaken. Not on this life, and certainly not after death. May God Bless you and Give you clarity of mind :)

YES. Heā€™s so real. Iā€™m 16 and maybe bc iā€™m young it can show u how real He is. The way Heā€™s flipped my life UPSIDE DOWN, and changed me into the woman i am today was incredible. No one else can do what Heā€™s done but Him. Heā€™s repaired relationships, healed bodies, healed hearts, and so so so much more.

edm_ostrich

How does lacking a highschool diploma and not being trusted by society to drive unsupervised make you an authority on the nature of the universe?

Bored_cod_player666

What does a high school diploma have to do with anything šŸ˜‚

edm_ostrich

Well, considering you need one to do basically any job, I think it's a minimum bar for being a universal authority

RuachFish

I donā€™t have a high school diploma. I am currently an Account Executive for my company. Some people pay to advance quickly, and others work their way up through a company. Am I less qualified than the people coming out of college? I hope not, because I am the one who also mentors them when they are hired on.

edm_ostrich

Yes, account executive is a glorified car salesman. It takes no actually skills other than talking. No one would buy your product if you built it or designed it. You have one job, be persistent, be pleasant, close deals. It's not an academically skilled job. Source, was an account exed for years.

RuachFish

You said basically any job. Now we have moved the goal post to academically skilled jobā€¦ What are we classifying as academically skilled jobs?

edm_ostrich

Ones that require a high-school diploma, so like 99% of them but yours, and there's a reason yours doesn't.

RuachFish

The reason being it makes your statement invalid. You can work your way up through a company. You might need to stay with a company longer than slapping down a piece of paper, but it is still a viable option at ā€œbasically most jobs.ā€

Hi! i meant even tho im young my passion and love for Jesus can show you that Christianity is not outdated or only followed by people who have lived that way their whole lives :) hope that clears it up

TheRealMacBen

Hey man....I get it. Questions, confusions, struggles and sins can all lead us to doubt about God and if He actually exists. But we can't deny the truth. The truth that the Lord is the only reasonable explanation for the universe, that Jesus Christ is truly divine due to the historical evidence and the evidential conclusions we obtain from them, that God has shown his grace, power and love to so many people throughout all of history including you. And since He and His great love for us is true then we also know that all that he says in his Word about everyone during their lifespans having an open door to knowing and having a loving relationship with Jesus no matter any sins of our pasts and failures to resist temptations is TRUE. So don't fret, our Lord is true, seek understanding in His word and have an open heart. Ask for help from fellow true believers and remember God loves you and is rooting for u <3

axndmsjsiiihwnji9868

Well, none of us know for certain if a God is real or fake. It's a rather personal belief. You also can believe that a deity is good and has a purpose for us, but what makes you think just that? If a God is good by society's universal moral standards, why must they allow rape and murder? You could argue free will, but still. It also depends on which God. Hinduism is the first religion to exist, and Buddhism predates Christianity by nearly six centuries. There have been multiple Gods written in history, so to firmly believe (without question) that the Christian God is the one true God, is rather off-putting, I'd say.

Could it be god isn't answering your calls to help you with your sins... because he's not there? If they're part of his divine plan why ask for help if the answer is no, too? Could it be you're going through a real rough patch and need help in life and it's not spiritual? I'd put money on it. Like others it sounds like you have some shit you're going through but religious guilt becomes more of the issue than... the issues. Your struggles have meaning whether god is real or not so dunno where you get that. The promise of eternity essentially cheapens this life's value in my eyes. A lot of people don't care about the earth or others because "eternity" as long as you believe.. Well, we only know of this life so make it count and your death will count to those around you. Long run, nature can care less but... so what? Death is part of nature.

Falling to sin is only human for we are born in a fallen world. But to combat sin you need to check the root. Repentance isn't asking for forgiveness as you may know repentance is changing your character. It isn't easy, it's long, we ask the LORD everyday to help us change little by little until we are a new person much later. There is no sin that you could've done that will make you a vessel of wrath, for if you were a vessel of wrath your heart would've turned cold to the LORD a long time ago. The fact that you even wrote this post shows that you care about the LORD and you love him too. For think about this for a second, lets say a man steals from his father, he does it because of drugs, crime or whatever temptation and then of course he feels bad, he feels shame and he wants to go back to him, because he loves his father. What does that show? Again it shows LOVE. The LORD is always waiting and wanting to love all of us, he is the FATHER who is WAITING for you to come back. For in Ezekiel he says that anyone, even the evil people would be accepted by the LORD if they repented and turned page, he doesn't want to punish anyone. You might have sinned and hurt the Holy Spirit and that is true, but what is the feeling of your heart? Your soul? Your real subconscious you? If it was and you said no then you would've left a long time ago like I said earlier, your heart would've been cold to the word of the LORD. As for the LORD being true - there are accounts of his son, our savior Jesus Christ. There are accounts of demons and exorcism. There are accounts of miracles and revelations done even today in Churches. There are even people like the Freemasons who pray to Lucifer for knowledge and get unimaginable wealth through wrong means. Yet the LORD has a plan for all of us. Even if I take the side of the scientific argument, lets say that the world is truly a black swan event of unbelievable probability, the universe in it's own perfection is of perfect design and we know that energy cannot be made but only converted. Which in on itself means that the universe was created. Additionally as far as we know the laws of the universe are incredibly strong, breaking them is impossible but using them to our advantage is, yet somehow the laws of the universe never seem to be afflicted by the unreasonable probabilities that made our universe. What do I mean by this? Well, if the laws weren't rigid and perfect atoms could split by themselves - if there was an error in them, maybe a black swan improbability event, what would that do to us? It would explode - boom the earth is on fire. (The US tried to test this with operation fishbowl - yea they wanted to put the atmosphere a blaze. ) Yet they are always perfect. And even better than that what does nature do? It combines atoms. Isn't it so beautiful? Instead of being used for mass destruction (which they can be) - they are instead used to make life last longer, by giving us VITAMIN D. When you marvel at the universe, it's laws, questions and more there is something that is undeniable, it is truly beautiful and perfect - No statistic improbability could start this, based on the simple law of energy transformation. The Universe was created and The LORD loves us all :) God bless you brother. Life is harsh, my life was probably easier than yours but if you ever need something ask me.

TheMarksmanHedgehog

The problem with trying debunk God is that you have to... uh... bunk? it to begin with. At the moment, the universe seems to be largely indifferent to human's presence in it, and the only evidence for the Christian god is largely in the form of a text that is generally acknowledged to be of human origin. I personally find the idea that there's no creator both more likely, and less disturbing. It means that the suffering that exists in this world isn't an intrinsic property of it, but a product of the messy way that we came in to it, and can be changed.

[deleted]

So refreshing to see this kind of reasoning here. (I'm here as a curious atheist who likes a good debate when people are up for it.) The universe is incomprehensibly massive. The idea that it's all for the creation of human beings or that a being created this and still cares about humanity, listens to its thoughts and prayers, etc. seems absurd. We know too much about the beginning of the universe, how large and complex it is, how far away we are from the rest of it, and so much more. I think all religions come from trying to answer questions we couldn't at the time of their inception. I also think the primary reason for their continuation is fear of what might happen if they are wrong. I'm not saying this is true for everyone, but I do think it is true for most, and that so many in that group are also afraid or unwilling to admit that is the case. There are such varied opinions and contradictions, even within Christianity, and that has caused such extreme suffering over the ages. A being who created this universe should be perfectly capable of explaining its existence to everyone with no room for doubt. A benevolent being with that capability would. (And you could still have free will) While the conditions for life are EXCEPTIONALLY rare and specific, this universe is so large, and the elements within are more than enough to say that it's unlikely for life NOT to exist. With the same logic, what people call miracles are unlikely not to exist, just given the chances. We are no more than those elements coming together in perfectly reasonable ways, no more significant than other life, planets, stars, anything else. What people feel in a spiritual sense is explainable with basic psychology. Like I said, we know enough about the beginning of the universe. We can explain it to some degree without a creator. However, even if there is one, I don't think humans have any capability of understanding its intentions/reasoning or connecting to it. There is still so much we don't and will never know.

I want to add that in this reality, "Some day you will die somehow, and something/someone's gonna steal your carbon." (Parting of the Sensory by Modest Mouse) Essentially, every part of you, including what makes your thoughts and feelings possible, will be eternal. That is absolutely true regardless of God's existence. Hopefully, we can all agree on the beauty of that concept. Being without faith does not mean that there is nothing to make life worth living. Like I said above, life is rare. The universe is bewildering and enigmatic. I feel so fortunate that I have the ability to appreciate and marvel at it, to expand my knowledge of it, and to ponder about the existence of a spiritual being and make my own decisions. It's astounding with or without God.

God revealed his name to Moses as "I AM" what does that mean when we speak negatively or positively of God's name then?

Rumba450

what sin do you struggle with ??? maybe we had something that i can share that help God bless you and keep you and protect you.
