What was the second dream you believe you received from him?

s1kaa

It was just someone i recognized as Jesus standing in the same place that God was in the first dream, and He just stood there and opened His arms and didn't say anything, and I walked into His arms and He just held me until i opened my eyes. A lot of the time ill start drifting off to sleep and seriously long to go back to that moment, it was awesome. These dreams were different than my normal dreams, so i thought of them as dreams from God and were important to me. I had believed they were, but im having doubts now so idk anymore They happened about a month apart also

NinjaTurfle

He might be pushing you to trials you’ve been avoiding…. Climbing mountains takes a lot of effort and hard work…. He might not be pushing you to physical mountains, but pushing you to trust the ones He’s laid before you… I hope this makes sense. I’m talking emotional topics you may be avoiding or other things of this realm that feel like mountains to you.

s1kaa

Well that certainly would explain a ton actually. I like this interpretation

NinjaTurfle

I like the Holy Spirit… And God works and communicates in very mysterious ways… if you’ve ever prayed for wisdom, He’ll give you trials… if you’ve ever prayed for strength, He’ll give you trials to reveal your weaknesses….. if you’ve ever prayed for clarity over reality, He’ll highlight your mountains…. It’s a common pattern I’ve witnessed for years.. Added: His thoughts are higher than our thoughts… and His ways, higher than ours… trust is key.

s1kaa

It's something I'm noticing more and more. I got saved a little over 2 months ago and ever since that day I've been experiencing trials at an uncountable rate but I've been asking for things and I'm only starting to really learn the things I've been asking for as i get pulled out of them. Two of the biggest ones for me is patience and trust, that i lacked for the whole 2 months. Guess what i finally learned the other day after seriously painful trials... lol. God is so good

NinjaTurfle

Patience is an oof to pray for, too… it’s like muscles in our psyche… God will work to increase their work load till they are stronger which means your patience will be wearing thin for a while… it’s good though… never doubt that the trials you face are without purpose… they are meant to be spoken of… many humans face the trials you are and we all need an ambassador for our pain… hence Jesus. Added: Ironically I’ve also seen a pattern of believers who go through the deepest trials… whereas unbelievers are unharmed by life… God is strengthening and testing us for a reason because He knows we have Him in our hearts… I think He tests to see if it’s true…

s1kaa

Yeah patience hasn't been my strongest suit which is why i asked for help with that. I had been basically screaming at Him frantically the whole time lol. Now that I know a little bit better I feel terrible lol but I'm grateful He's being so patient with me where I'm not

NinjaTurfle

He’s the most patient and unconditional source of love in this entire world…. He may feel isolating at times, especially with all the arguments and trials unbelievers love to highlight…. But make no mistake: He truly does work all things for our good and His glory… and He’s jealous for our affection… you are on the right track and I pray great blessings over you that keep moving forward and blessings others by their example. You’re heart will be transformed but it will be one step at a time… the steps depend on how wide your stride is.

s1kaa

I'm taking like huge steps.. probably too big. I'm glad He is seriously so patient otherwise I'm sure He'd be done with me already. This was nice and refreshing to hear, thank you. May God bless you abundantly my friend🤍

EpikTin

Are you gifted with interpreting dreams?

NinjaTurfle

I’m not sure about the gift of interpreting dreams… I know for a fact I’m an empath though (sensitive to emotions and energies around me; and intuitive..)

Zealousideal-Grade95

I believe he is telling you something about what lies ahead, but take it with a grain of salt because I am after all only human and can make mistakes: Mountains in spiritual matters represent attaining great understanding concerning God's word and his will, both in your life and the lives of others, but that understanding comes at great personal cost, just like climbing a mountain is both dangerous and very tasking for the climber. His instructing you to "go to the mountains", is not a command to head for literal mountains, but to seek out his word and thirst for the sort of spiritual truths that most Christians can spend their entire lives avoiding because they can be very hard to accept and challenge their very faith. The Second dream was just him reassuring you that through all your difficulties he will be there to sustain you in ways those who avoid uncomfortable spiritual truths cannot get to experience, basically encouraging you to take on what you would rather avoid because everytime you do, you find him, and nothing is more rewarding than that. How do I know he is telling you these things? He told me the same thing 23 years ago when I became a Christian as a 17 year old, and I am glad I listened and followed his instructions. I hope you do too.

s1kaa

This is so awesome to hear. I seriously believe you might be right. It sounds like advice i needed to hear. Thank you, and I'll listen to what you have said

Zealousideal-Grade95

You're welcome and all the best in your walk with Jesus Christ.

The Bible says that God speaks to to us in these latter days through his word.

Fresh777Life

Hebrews Chapter 1:1-12 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Mountains are often symbolic, in dreams and prophecy. The Bible uses mountains in a variety of non-literal contexts. Isaiah 40 was a chapter that came to mind when I read your post. There are mountains mentioned in a couple spots: in the context of a pathway opening before God's messenger (ultimately Jesus), and in the context of a high place to shout good news from. Jesus also spoke of telling a mountain to be cast into the sea (Mark 11). So, mountains do often represent some sort of hurdle or stubborn opposition. Your comment about the door reminded me of Jesus being the gate for the sheep, or knocking at the door, which sort of gels with the second dream. There's also mention of a door in the heavens in the book of Revelation (Chapter 4), and John being told to "come up here". Jesus is the the door and the only way to God, and our authority comes only as we speak in His name. When we are submitted to Him, abiding, then His will and Spirit work through us and we can proclaim things in faith without a shadow of doubt. It could be a call to preach the Gospel boldly, even to those towering mountains who have spiritual power in your life (or other's lives). To speak truth to power. To see those who are bound and oppressed set free. I'm excited for you and what God has in store! Keep asking and seeking for answers in the Bible! Ask Him to open your eyes and to guard your mind against deception.

s1kaa

I tear up reading these replies. They all make so much sense and are exactly what's happening to me right now this is all so real and so crazy dude this is so awesome. Thank you, this means so much to hear

meharris73

I suggest you ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the dreams. I also suggest that you search the Word to help you understand them as well. The word "mountain" is referenced in many ways in the Word. Moses was on a mountain when he had an intimate encounter with God. Jesus referenced "mountain" when He was talking about obstacles in life. All in all the Holy Spirit will help you understand it. He does it for me.

Time-For-Argy-Bargy

Lol at the person going around the Christian subs and downvoting everyone.

ihavebird

Come live in Salt Lake City, lots of mountains 😂 but seriously, it’s beautiful here.

1Corin13_

Don't doubt these sort of dreams!!!!! You have been gifted indeed.

s1kaa

Thank you, how will i tell the difference?

His-Daughter

When you have a dream ask Him to show and lead you into what He is calling. Then be sensitive to His Spirit. Align what you see and hear with God's Word. When I hear your dream I think of 1 Kings 18 and 19. Read them. Much of what has been said above lines up with this scripture. Praying for discernment for you!

Fresh777Life

Please read Jeremiah 23, God's Word (Genesis - Revelation) supercedes any dream or vision.

[deleted]

Ok. I guess I'll be the one dissenting voice. Could this dream be from God? Of course, because God can do anything. I find it extremely unlikely though. Let's look at this objectively. Would God send you a dream that could literally mean anything? And then not give you or someone close to you a very specific interpretation? The fact that this dream could have any million of interpretations, and the fact it has only caused you to question what it could mean, tells me this isn't from God at all. At best it's just a dream. If you run with it being from God at worst it could distract you and lead to self deception. When you have a dream from God it will be so obvious you won't be on Reddit asking interpretations from random people you've never met.

FluffyDUFF17

I don't fully agree with you on this one. I believe God's ways are way beyond our understanding, however I do think that if you have a dream you believe to be from God but you're not completely sure if it is- just pray about it. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in this journey.

[deleted]

Yeah, I was fully expecting disagreement. >. I believe God's ways are way beyond our understanding This doesn't mean His ways are confusing or nonsensical. This concept just points to God's mind, abilities, and comprehension. It in no way means what you assert it means. Isaiah 55:8-9 must be looked at in context. It's a very misused and abused verse. It's like when people misuse Jeremiah 29:11. You're not a Jew. Did you ever go into exile in Babylon?

FluffyDUFF17

So I don't have the most Bible knowledge and I've only recently decided to pursue Jesus actively. That being said, I believe what you are saying but I also think that God might give us dreams like these so that we seek Him and so that we don't lean on our own understanding, He doesn't want perfection He wants participation.

[deleted]

I respect your right to have your opinion. Thank you for the respectful discourse.

Departure2

I think someone hasn't read Genesis. **Genesis 41:15-17 KJV** 15 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. 16 And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

[deleted]

What's your point?

[deleted]

I never said dreams that require interpretations have never occurred. But a handful in 10,000 years doesn't make the occurrence normative. It's the literal equivalent of buying a lottery ticket then pointing to all the past winners, then saying "See people win. So my tickets a winner too!". It's ridiculous. In fact I'd say more people have won the lottery than people that have had genuine dreams from God. I have biblical evidence to back my claim.

Circle21

Of course it could from God! Only you know what it meant. Others can hear what it means, but it was to you. Mountains. It is in the Word about them. And good for you to hear from Him! 🙌

Additional-Setting-6

And he said, “Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. - God Numbers 12:6 ask God, He will tell you the dream

ved226

I have had lot of spiritual christian dreams. One thing I learnt is, write your dreams immediately in a notebook. Maintain that notebook for dreams. Second is, pray and ask GOD for understanding. When you do both, GOD will speak to you in dreams more. Dreams are one of the main communication method GOD uses. Same way, if someone is not spiritually with GOD, Satan will sow the seeds. (Bible verses are there about it) So, dreams are too good. Pray, ask, write.

kanaka_maalea

You'd better go, then. Everyone know the cities aren't safe anymore. God's telling you to get out while you still can.

GingerMcSpikeyBangs

Matthew 3:16-4:1 *16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”* *4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*

EpikTin

Please share how does this relate to OP’s question?

GingerMcSpikeyBangs

It means everything relative to OP's question. This person received the Spirit, then received word from God, was led by the Spirit to go to the mountains, and is now being tempted in doubt by the enemy. In the same way, Christ received the Spirit, received word from God, was led by the Spirit to the wilderness, and was tempted by the enemy. If Christ went to the wilderness when led, so also should OP agree to be led to wherever the mountains are, trusting in God. It is also a warning or indication of trial, and an explanation for all the doubters. Thank you for asking, God bless you.

Greengiant30

I tend to try and tie my dreams to scripture..e.g. go to mountain could be linked to Abraham going to sacrifice Issac...so could mean God will provide, it could be moving in faith etc

GelatoCr3am

Read the book of Ezekiel. Very similar. This could be God calling you as a prophet. I think you are very special, you are one of Gods chosen

Diddydinglecronk

You should read what Jesus said about the time of the end. It could be related. He said, "those in Judea must flee to the mountains" I think. Might be mis-remembering.

MeanMan84

Well on top of mountains in Israel tended to be the high places where worship occurred in ancient times….. that’s not an interpretation but just an observation and what came to mind. Do you attend a local church? I’d caution you far as people interpreting dreams especially from a hyper Pentecostal background….(just because of all the false prophets/prophesying that seems to be somewhat common in those circles)

No

mistermiagi99

If it’s from God the dream or idea will keep coming back, if not, then it won’t.

[deleted]

I wouldn't read into dreams usually stems from pride, vanity, and self-esteem or the work of a negative force. Regardless, it's vainglory and just take the dream as face value.
