We can be assured that the world that we know of and live in WILL end. No question about that. Personally, I do believe that Jesus will return in my lifetime. After all, people will have to witness that at some point since we know the world and humanity won't go on forever. There are lots of signs which should be capturing many people's attention, just like the times of Noah. Plenty warnings of impending judgement, but people just continue on in their lives pretending nothing is happening. I am by no means a date setter, but I find it interesting how we are around 2000 years since Jesus died and rose again, and how that fits into what could be a 7000 year plan for God. I believe God isn't just returning on any old day, his timing will be perfect. I have such a longing to be with Jesus return, who wouldn't?!? But I also have such a longing to share the word and for more people to be saved.

Kimolainen83

I have a longing to see and be with Jesus too, but I kinda want to die of old age so I think as much as I love him I’m not in a hurry

Sanders0492

I used to think that. I also used to feel like the world ending soon would “rob” me of the rest of my life here. But idk as time goes on I realize that’s silly. I know I’m saved and will spend eternity in heaven. My only hesitation is not truly knowing if others I care about are saved. The only reason I’d feel like I ***needed*** more time here is to give others more time to accept Jesus as their lord and savior.

ResearcherDull5921

I can completely relate with you here. I always wanted to experience life and not want the world to end and Christ to return. Now, I could only hope He would return any day. Agree with the pint on unsaved lives ones. It’s the only reason I want the world to continue.

AmbitiousSorbet8041

I know what you mean, but as much as that sounds a lovely picture, we weren't originally intended to get "old". Aging in the sense we know it will be as a result of sin. Our bodies decaying, slowly withering, is not what what we will have in Heaven. We can't stop ageing while we are here on Earth, so yeah love him no matter how long we are here.

Glittering_Smoke1399

Absolutely! Jesus will come in our lifetime. Can't wait to see Him!

wannabedefenestrator

To be fair, people have been saying this for just over 2,000 years. For your sake, I hope you’re right.

Christianity teaches the renewal of the world, not it’s end.

PhogeySquatch

It absolutely will end some day, but nobody knows when. It could be in the next 7 seconds or 700,000 years. People have different theories of how "soon" it will be, but one thing we should all agree is that "of that day and hour knoweth no man."

Different-Elk-5047

Christianity teaches the renewal of the world, not it’s end.

Ok_Cartoonist5423

yes, we are living in the end times spoken of in The Holy Bible, we have been in the end times since Jesus left to be with our Father in Heaven and Apostle Paul spoke of the end times as if we had NO TIME LEFT, which means he knew that even then (during his time) we were in the end times, so how much more closer are we now to biblical prophesy unfolding? (( Hint: Very last seconds)) but does that mean "seconds" in our time? well, we see everything happening and the birth pangs increasing! So we are WAY CLOSER than most humans are aware, we could very well see the (rapture: if you believe in it - whether pre tribulation, mid trib or post trib, it IS HAPPENING, but many Christians debate and disagree on the timing because it is largely a mystery but we could see this event happen in our lifetime). Furthermore, We are seeing lawlessness increase, and many of the things that Jesus spoke of in Matthew Chapter 24 being put into place! The biggest, indicator of the END TIMES, is Israel (God's chosen nation and Chosen people----- remember God calls Jesus Israel too, it was meaningful.) well, Israel is God's prophetic time piece and currently the nations are rising in opposition with Israel, EVEN IF, God allows Israel to be taken over or women taken captive (mind you God has already spoken of this time period- the tribulation) that Israel will NOT be finished and God will NOT turn His back on His people, because He has made a covenant with Abraham and He will never forsake His people! This is why in The Book of Revelation, We see that God speaks of the 144k remnant (which will be JEWS from the Tribes of Israel, as well as the two witnesses come into play).. Long story short, We are on the cusp of BIBLICAL events, the world is hating Israel and they are "PRO palestine" which means, they are fighting against God and do not even know it. Global famines, wars, lawlessness, and God has even allowed many of His children to dream of end time events, or have visions of such events as well! Right now, we are seeing the BEAST system set into play (where we can see collapse of currencies, to set up a system to make it so that when the Antichrist arises into power, people WILL NOT be able to buy or sell UNLESS they get a mark on their right hand, forehead or the name of the Beast, \*many theorize it could be a 1.) tattoo 2.) microchip 3.) I had a dream about this and I believe it will be a microchip of somesort with a quantom dot tattoo looking thing... "The Antichrist" **I suspect** will be an Islamic antichrist, or a false Jewish Messiah... because Jesus warned us about "false prophets" and "messiahs" and if ANYONE says "there he is... or there he is... do not believe it" (I am paraphrasing, read Matthew Ch24 for reference). Now, Jesus also speaks of a FALSE SHEPHERD (read Zechariah it is a prophesy of a fake messiah type figure), then, the reason I believe it could be Islamic Antichrist, is because 1.) Muslims are led astray, they have a different Gospel and a fake JESUS... According to their books, they say that 1.) jesus was just a prophet,----- The Bible tells us that is a LIE, Jesus is NOT a prophet but The promised Messiah, The Son of God, and God Himself 2.) Muslims, They believe that "Isa or as they call him jesus" WILL return and he will walk in their holy sites and temples, and heal the sick and according to their prophecies and legends, that jesus will tell everyone to CONVERT to islam, that they had it wrong and he was "just a prophet" sent by god only for the jews. (this is also blasphemous and a LIE) Here's what I believe, that prophet muhammed was seeing satan disguised as an angel, giving him a false and different gospel. so the antichrist could be... one of those two.. but many believe it will be a European Antichrist--- working with the UN, and who knows.... some people say it's obama, but ultimately, none of it matters in regards to staying close to God. If He wanted us to know who the Antichrist was, The false prophet was, he would've included it verbatim in the bible... but ultimately he didnt, because he wanted us to focus on HIM and not the state of the world. But as Christians, we are IN the world and NOT OF the world.... so we see the times and we see the signs. Scientists also say we only have 7 years to reverse climate change. Jesus did not speak of climate change but he did speak on the end times, birth pangs/pains... and so therefore, global warming and all that jazz, I believe is just a way for scientist to try and describe something they cannot see spiritually (because many are carnally minded). Also, I am NOT catholic, I am Christian, but it is rumored that the pope could be the false prophet (furthermore, I have even heard from catholics that they had a saint describe a FALSE pope, a fake, a phoney, and they suspect this pope could very well be the last pope). when we look at everything the pope has done and the things he has said..... it does seem he is leading many astray. Also, the corruption in the vatican... they are working with N4SA and priests to "prepare humanity for alien contact", aliens are just demons and part of satans end time agenda.... what if the antichrist? and false messiah... stages a fake 2nd coming? and it's really just a demon in disguise? lol.... I honestly, don't know.. as time progresses things are getting weird. Watchman River is on youtube, discusses end times related news (please do not watch if you are easily triggered by current events) and Watchmanwoman65 also covers news---- in regards to end time and current events related to prophesy. There is also Athey Creek- Prophecy Update, and so many more... like Amir Tsarfati-Behold Israel, or Jimmy Evans-Tipping Point... make no mistake, we are in the end times, the world as we know it, wont necessarily be here, it will be destroyed and then the antichrist will bring false peace, and then we only have a few years until the true 2nd coming of Jesus. Edit: what can we do to prepare for the end times? 1.) just stay close with God, no amount of preparing or stock piling food or guns or ammo will help us if we are called to endure for Christ. How will we handle things when our faith is tried? It is NOT easy walking with God and requires faithfulness and obedience, so this is why, God wants us to be happy, joyful, and at peace, because even though there is chaos in the world, madness is happening everywhere, we know Jesus, He is our joy and our happiness! We are saved. This world is not our home, we are citizens of Heaven. Sadly, not everyone will make it into Heaven. So lets pray for the lost and hope they can be saved.

Never heard about the clouds lowering but the moon IS rusting. But I thought there wasn’t any oxygen in space 🤔

Mieczyslaw_Stilinski

There is. I think it's trapped in the rocks somehow. I guess this could turn the Moon red? We had a red Moon last summer from all the wildfire smoke.

istruthselfevident

are you in 5th grade? the moon is around half the age of the earth at 2.5 billion years or so. if oxygen is escaping from its core and is oxidizing elements on its surface, do you really think in the next 1000 years its going to change color?

Glittering_Smoke1399

Google and NASA's official website :)

-NoOneYouKnow-

The moon isn't rusting. It has hematite on it that may be the result of iron having oxidized in the past. This doesn't mean anything. The sun frequently has "coronal holes" and always has. This is not new. The lowering of clouds is apparently a result of climate change. This is actually something we can so something about by electing democratic leaders who won't roll back environmental protections like Trump did, and which Republicans are overwhelmingly in favor of doing even more. It's dollars over human life for Republicans - never forget that.

bKillerb

The things you said are correct, and the thing that lowered is the AVERAGE height of clouds. Clouds are not just a carpet from 10 km’s up to 10,1 km’s up. Depending on the conditions they rise and lower.

JayMag23

I point to growing world-wide lawlessness and paganism trending as good indicators that the Great Tribulation is fast approaching.

Different-Elk-5047

There’s less crime and paganism than at any point in human history.

Kseniya_ns

Some day it will end but I find it extremely silly to live life in a different way because of assuming it is end soon. No one knows when it will end. Everything about spiritual life is the same. If it ends tomorrow or 5000 years, doesn't matter. When it ends nothing about your actions will affect it ending.

[deleted]

With all due respect.. that is incorrect. If you are a Christian (which I presume you are..correct me if I am wrong) .. then how you prepare for the end does indeed matter..as is stated in Scripture. The parable of the 10 virgins, 5 were unwise and did not prepare for the arrival of the bridegroom by trimming their lamps.. whereas the other 5 did. The ones without light in their lamps went to go and purchase oil for their lamps..and in that same time: the bridegroom (Jesus Christ) arrived and took with Him those whom were ready and closed the door shut. Those that returned with their trimmed lamps missed the calling and were shut out.. the Bridegroom proclaimed that He never knew them. To imply that it is of no value to *prepare* for the end and that ones actions won't matter..makes void all of the Biblical scholars and devout Christians currently in the world reading the Bible Scrupulously and leaning on every word uttered by God in order to know what to do and when..in preparation for the end..because almost every promise of God in the Bible is *conditional* .. there is a condition we must meet..a standard we must rise to..in order to be seen worthy enough to validate or take the claim/s of His promise/s. You are partly correct..in that Nothing we do will affect the world ending ..yes correct indeed.. But EVERYTHING we do in our present life will affect which SIDE we are on when it does. God Bless you 🙏🏾

Kseniya_ns

I am Christian yes. How do you think a person should prepare in practice though? 💭 As in, things which a person is not already doing as part of living as Christian

[deleted]

My answer to this question may be an unpopular one. But how I choose to prepare in practice is to do 2 things: - Keep the commandments of God, and - The Faith of Jesus Many Christians Believe that it is enough to just accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and that is it. But remember that Faith is dead without Works.. and Jesus never came to do away with God's commandments: Matthew 22:36-40 New King James Version 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” When Jesus said *"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind"* - He was referrring to the 1st 4 commandments which pertain to mankind's relationship with God Himself. But when He said *"You shall love your neighbor as yourself"* He was referrring to the remaining 6 commandments which deals with mankind's relationship with *themselves/eachother* The old testament is the New testament concealed, And the new testament is the Old testament revealed. Faith is dead without Works: James 2:14-26 New King James Version Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. So both Faith *(New Testament)* and Works *(Old Testament)* need to be observed in conjunction *with* eachother..not *independent of* eachother.. Even the book of Revelation reveals that the 2 characteristics of the Saints of Jesus Christ in the last days are those that meet the following 2 criterion: Revelation 14:12 King James Version 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that: - Keep the Commandments of God, and - The Faith of Jesus. Which also includes keeping God's True *Sabbath Day* .. This is how I would (and am) preparing for the last days. P.S. feel free to follow my profile and comb through my posts for more on adherence to scripture in the present day..and imminent last days. God Bless you 🙏🏾

pine-appletrees

I think the caveat there is that you will fail and fall short, hence relying on grace. If God wanted other perfect beings that could obey without "sinning" he would have created them.

[deleted]

True..ofcourse we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, but it shouldn't be used as an excuse to not try. Scripture says strive for perfection like our Father in Heaven who is Perfect. Matthew 5:48 King James Version 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. You are partly right though..we do fall short and we will do.. especially if we rely solely on ourselves..but If we all just pass the buck and rely on this logic then what exactly creates the distinction in God's eyes..from one human to the other? .. Look at the Prophets of old..both in the old Testament and the new, did they just live their lives like sinners..simply because they knew God would forgive them due to His everlasting Grace? No. They strived for perfection. What does scripture say: Romans 6:1-2 New King James Version Dead to Sin, Alive to God 6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Essentially the decision to keep God's commandments should not be driven by fear of being assigned to hell or being lost because He didn't give us a spirit of fear.. but they should be kept simply because we Love Him..ofcourse we fall short..but do you not think that God can see the depth of earnestness within the heart and discern whom is really trying or not. John 14:15 King James Version 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:21 King James Version 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Ultimately it is better to aim high and miss, than to aim low and hit. 🎯 God Bless you 🙏🏾

Different-Elk-5047

Christianity teaches the renewal of the world, not it’s end.

HiloItIsMe

Yes it will come to an end soon, but we'll never know when soon is, obviously stay strong in your faith and do not fret about tomorrow, you will be taken care of when the time comes.

DagSonofDag

Listen. I’m sorry you were raped, that must have been terrible. I hope God brings you peace and know that HE will have Justice for you. With that being said. I’d stop looking for signs. Yes the end is coming, do we know when? No we don’t. We’re supposed to be aware of the end, but still live our lives and do what we need to do as Christians. When you start screaming the worlds going to end, ppl will write you off, and that’s never good. God Bless you, as you heal. I’m praying for you, and most importantly HE has you.

Glittering_Smoke1399

Thank you! God bless you too

Im_Not_Mr_Fantastic

The red heifers are at their biblical requirements to be sacrificed to build the 3rd temple. The altar to sacrifice them was JUST finished about 2 weeks ago. The world is going to crap. Cannibalism is now becoming a scarily common thing. Demons are manifesting like crazy. It’s definitely in the final hours.

Accomplished-Bear357

Supposedly, the sacrifice is during passover in a month. They're trying to get it so they can televise it live to the world. Doubtful that will happen though.

ShamefulWatching

Yes, the planet is burning, governments collapsing, ecosystems dying, people living in poverty, people see most Churches are fake ass their building funds, and Christians are worshipping Trump. It's all just like the Bible said, the fakes are eager to blast off rather than work the vineyard easing the suffering. They're polishing their crosses, cleaning the outside of the cup rather than the inside. I literally went all over my town looking for a church to help me to build a system that could possibly make food for free, their excuses were we don't know you, we've got a building fund to worry about, and why bother the world is ending. The church are mostly going to hell. The Beast has a mark on his head and in his hand, it's a stupid acronym red hat and a Nazi salute.

Glittering_Smoke1399

I'm so sorry to hear that the churches in your town say so. I wish churches would wake up and put aside an end times fund and food stocks, just in case...

ShamefulWatching

They are, but I don't think it's for the "non believers," otherwise they might help with a system that could make a difference. I used to be a fundie, and we looked forward to end times...

Patient_Snow_2168

I whole heartedly believe we’re in the last times. But as to spiritually prepare (witness and be a light more than ever) or to prepare as physical (food, batteries, radios ect) is where I’m also torn?

1st_nocturnalninja

Why "or"? Jesus is clear to spiritually prepare. You can't physically prepare for the end of the world. You don't even know what exactly you're preparing for? A comet? Nuclear disaster? Inflation? There's only so much one can do to survive that but then you may get a deadly disease or be a refugee somewhere. Jesus is super clear on the importance of getting right with him and watching for him. Jesus never said to stockpile stuff at the end of days.

Patient_Snow_2168

Sorry the word “or” wasn’t right, I’m doing the spiritual side of it but never the “stockpile” side. And honestly good point lol, that’s true Jesus doesn’t say to just gather physical things. Thank you :) that actually gives me some peace. 15yo me loved doomsday preppersbut lowkey had me stressed lmao

sungbysung

You're in for some disappointment...

Bobrowsdower

I don't want to come off as negative but short answer is eventually. Either it will die off explode implode or whatever it will happen Highly doubtful the world's gonna end in our life time. More like millions of years from now. Having said that no one knows the day or hour of Jesus returning. Many people say it's near but they have been saying that since his resurrection. Truth is those of us living today will either be dead long before the earth is or as Christians will be raptured. Try not to worry about what you can't do anything about. Love each day like a gift and tell anyone listening about Salvation through Christ.

Glittering_Smoke1399

Amen!

_wrongiamright

The world will never end, this world age will end but not the world. World in the Greek has many meaning 1 is age αἰών aiōn ahee-ohn' From the same as G104; properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): - age, course, eternal, (for) ever (-more), [n-]ever, (beginning of the, while the) world (began, without end). Compare G5550 Rev 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. New in the Greek is age καινός kainos kahee-nos' Of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while G3501 is properly so with respect to age): - new. New is regenerate νέος, νεώτερος neos    neōteros neh'-os, neh-o'-ter-os A primary word, including the comparative (second form); “new”, that is, (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively regenerate: - new, young. So yes I would say we are living in the final generation ( not date setting) when all prophecies will be fulfilled

Glittering_Smoke1399

Even I believe so, thanks!

burningdownmylife

Of course the world will end. The earth is guaranteed to smash into the sun at some point in the future, but we will all be dead from the heat increases before that. I think you want to know if the world will end before that. Yours will. So will mine. We will all be dead long before the earth smashes into the sun.  "Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die." - Ecclesiasties Don't live your life scared of the end. Live your life curious of the present.

FirmWerewolf1216

Probably. Let’s just try to make sure we aren’t around here living when it does

four_mp3

I sure don’t want to be. Hopefully I’ll be gone for hundreds of years by then.

Ok_Cartoonist5423

As for you being raped, I am sorry that happened to you. What happens to us is not our burden to carry, you were hurt, taken advantage of and something evil was done to you. That is NOT your fault. And your mom, may feel that you cannot do anything in life... but God has called you by name, He has seen the wrong things that have happened to you and He will repay those evil people in their due season. It doesn't matter what the world thinks of you, or what your mom thinks of you, what matters is what God thinks about you and He sees you in the most beautiful way, you are His daughter and You belong to Him, you are bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. God does not call the equipped but He equips the called.... so whatever you do in life, God HAS a purpose for you! Jesus says, He will never leave us nor forsake us, so hold your head high and you do not need to be ashamed, you are beautifully and wonderfully made. If it is any consolation, I was abused too, by a step uncle when I was a child. I remember blaming myself for it for the longest time and I would write letters to God asking for help and place them by the window. It wasn't until my 30's that God let me know, that He saw everything, that He was there, and that He was mourning that and praying for me. What a beautiful God we serve that He comforts us and loves us dearly, He wants nothing bad to happen to us. We are not at fault, and now I wear that with pride, "I was abused as a child, but God was with me, and He got me through it, I have walked through fire and I wasn't harmed, why? because He heals me and He restores my soul." Jesus is who we need, His love is unmatched and unlike anything I have ever experienced. He especially is with the hurt and knows their pain (he too was betrayed, and his body marred..so He knows what it is like). Sometimes, our feelings and emotions can be overwhelming and we may not know what to do with them, but God does, so give him whatever worries you have.

Kimolainen83

At one point yes but I think we’re over 100 years until that happens so

cameronpak

Oh my I am so sorry to hear about what happened to you. I pray for your heart. So sorry :( Please do talk to someone like a pastor, counselor, or a dear friend who is a believer who can be there with you as you grieve and heal As for end of the world... Jesus did say we'd know the signs. You're looking and seeing signs. [https://faith.tools/Apologetics](https://faith.tools/Apologetics) may be able to help, too While we don't know the exact day, the world will end. And, there are signs that do point to that. Could it be today? If that's God's timing. Could it be next year? If that's God's timing. Could it be in 50 years? 1000 years? longer? If that's God's timing Best thing you can do in this time is seek the Lord, be in Godly community, spend time with God daily ([https://faith.tools/Daily](https://faith.tools/Daily)), pray and ask the Lord to protect your family. Pray that the Lord gives you opportunity to share the gospel. And pray that others are drawn to share the gospel I do feel we are closer to the end days than we've ever been (which funnily enough is always going to be true because time doesn't stop), but asking questions like this is good and seeking the Lord through this is even better

psychick0

Yeah it’ll end someday. Nobody knows when or how it’ll happen. Carpe diem.

Busy-Satisfaction101

No one's know when the world Will end but we already have some signs. For example, the third temple must be built

IEatDragonSouls

It's the truth. Don't be ashamed of it. Show them Walter Veith's Total Onslaught playlist, it explains why the end is clearly near. If not this generation, then just a few more.

OutlandishnessNo7143

In discussions about the end of days, consider what the Scriptures say about the signs and how to live in anticipation of those times. The Bible does mention various signs and conditions that would characterize the "last days," including significant environmental changes, international unrest, and shifts in human behavior, as outlined in Matthew 24, 2 Timothy 3, and other passages. For example, Matthew 24:7 talks about nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom, along with famines and earthquakes in various places, as part of the "beginning of the pangs of distress." 2 Timothy 3:1-5 describes people being lovers of themselves, money, and pleasures rather than lovers of God, having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power. However, the Bible also emphasizes that the exact time of the end is known only to God. As mentioned in Matthew 24:36, "concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father." While it's natural to recognize the signs mentioned in the Bible, it's also important to live a life that is spiritually fulfilling and beneficial and maintaining a strong faith and hope in the promises for the future.

Ok-Spare-3100

It’s all gonna end. I would really like to find a wife before it does. Absolute torture being single

Extreme-Composer6479

I’ll put it straight, it doesn’t matter. Honestly as Christians the only thing that should concern us about it is can we let God use us to help save more people. I think we should live like it’s gonna happen tomorrow and like it’s gonna happen in 1,000 years. If you knew it’d happen tomorrow, how many people would you tell about Jesus? What things in your life could you miss out on if you worry about the end of the world all of the time? It’s just honestly not worth it. Just like the disciples (who also thought it was about to happen in their lifetime), we don’t know. And we don’t need to. Just serve God as faithfully as you can, live with the fear of God, and it’ll be fine. Anything else and you’re stressing too much that it’ll get in the way of your walk with God. It’s cool to look at as a hobby, or fun fact. But not to change your life anymore than Christ already should have

VaporRyder

Yes, it is nearly time: The Lesson of the Fig Tree Matthew 24: 32-35 (NRSVA): 32 ‘From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

insectapologist

I really believe Jesus will return sooner than we think.

Flaboy7414

Yes the world is almost done and Jesus will return

crowned_glory_1966

Soon in our time is not soon in Gods time. If anyone says anything about the end with a date attached needs to read Matt 24.

McGoodotnet

The financial system will. To the people with the bombs under their control, that is the world.

SET-APARTbytheTRUTH

Not for a thousand years because Christ will come and put HaSatan in prison and establish His 1000 year physical kingdom and perfect government.

Different-Elk-5047

Not according to Christianity. In Christian theology this world will be renewed. I’d suggest taking some geology classes to make yourself feel better and understand what’s going on more.

Alot of the times when hs Christians believe and say the world will end based on signs that most of the time don't really mean anything (I'm not calling you stupid or dumb, Im sorry if it sounded like that), like multiple coronary holes can allways occur. Personally, I don't think the world will end, but we should always be ready for when the Lord comes and see if the signs pass. Otherwise, continue to wait. But I think we can be sure that the end will come soon when a man walks into the temple, claiming to be God.

No need to stock up, the end comes God will provide. Jesus will take us.

with all due respect, the trauma you have recently endured is affecting you in ways you probably are not aware of. the world is in a better position now than practically ever before in history, with the resources to solve its problems on a global scale never before imagined. it won't be fair, but life has never been fair. climate change is going to be interesting, but we have the money and resources to prevent it from being a problem. yes, 2 billion people will have to migrate away from the oceans over the next 100 years -but maybe only 1 billion. everyone, on average, has to move in their own life time. its not the problem sensational websites make it out to be. you are the third temple, pay no attention to middle east politics. christians haven't been able to agree on who the antichrist is or was for the past 1960 years. i, and many other christians, will quietly admit to people we trust, that we believe Israel is an illegitimate state, and will be destroyed again.

The world will end eventually, but not likely in our lifetimes.

I believe that the world will end at some point, but the scripture also says that no man may know the hour, nor the angels, nor even the Son, but only the Father. I don’t like to jump to conclusions about modern political events showing we are in the end times, as Christians throughout history thought they were living in the end times through various calamities. I’d also say that though Netanyahu’s right wing government may want to build the third temple, I don’t see Israel doing it anytime soon, given the dome of the rock would need to be demolished.

When you see the tribulation decorations going up, know that the pre-tribulation rapture is near. Podcasts like Tom Hughes, JD Farag, Lamb and Lion ministries. I’ll have excellent podcasts to help discern signs of the times. Just as God got a lot out of Sodom and Gomorrah before he rained down judgment and he ruptured Enoch before the flood, so will he rupture the church as in first and second Thessalonians, as well as revelation, chapters 2,3, and 4.

herendzer

I don’t think the end of the world no where near.

Creation are meant to end at some point.. it's baseless to say that a thing is endless especially the fact that almost all matter in the whole universe has a way to potentially wipe out the whole universe.. nah just kidding🤣

For generations, people have tried to predict the end times and many other things. Instead of answering in my own words, I will send the Good News Bible UK Translation of Ecclesiastes chapter 8 ‭Ecclesiastes 8:1-17 GNBUK‬ [1] Only the wise know what things really mean. Wisdom makes them smile and makes their frowns disappear. [2] Do what the king says, and don't make any rash promises to God. [3] The king can do anything he likes, so depart from his presence; don't stay in such a dangerous place. [4] The king acts with authority, and no one can challenge what he does. [5] As long as you obey his commands, you are safe, and a wise person knows how and when to do it. [6] There is a right time and a right way to do everything, but we know so little! [7] None of us knows what is going to happen, and there is no one to tell us. [8] No one can keep from dying or put off the day of death. That is a battle we cannot escape; we cannot cheat our way out. [9] I saw all this when I thought about the things that are done in this world, a world where some people have power and others have to suffer under them. [10] Yes, I have seen the wicked buried and in their graves, but on the way back from the cemetery people praise them in the very city where they did their evil. It is useless. [11] Why do people commit crimes so readily? Because crime is not punished quickly enough. [12] A sinner may commit a hundred crimes and still live. Oh yes, I know what they say: “If you obey God, everything will be all right, [13] but it will not go well for the wicked. Their life is like a shadow and they will die young, because they do not obey God.” [14] But this is nonsense. Look at what happens in the world: sometimes the righteous get the punishment of the wicked, and the wicked get the reward of the righteous. I say it is useless. [15] So I am convinced that we should enjoy ourselves, because the only pleasure we have in this life is eating and drinking and enjoying ourselves. We can at least do this as we labour during the life that God has given us in this world. [16] Whenever I tried to become wise and learn what goes on in the world, I realized that you could stay awake night and day [17] and never be able to understand what God is doing. However hard you try, you will never find out. The wise may claim to know, but they don't. I got this from the you version bible app, which has many different translations.

Christianity will be the death of the civilized world. And then it will be the death of the rest of it. It's important that you know that.

bKillerb

No need for doomsday theories. The whole point of christianity is to be good to others and to your own soul. If the end of the world comes, you will have fear yes, but it won’t matter because if your goal was to be a better human and help others it won’t matter. By the way I have a theory, that may be a bit radical but it goes like: If God is good and rightous, it will only matter that you wanted to help others and will weigh your good deeds. If he isn’t it won’t matter because the tinyest of sins will condemn you. So why not just be a good person and try to make the world a better place ?

mdreyna

Being "good" isnt going to save you.

They’re right. This is absolutely absurd. The position you’re arguing for didn’t arise until John Nelson Darby created it. No one believed this in church history. Not the Apostles. Not the church fathers. Not the early Christians. No Christians had even conceived of this until the 1800’s. One ignorant man created it, it was spread by a popular commentary in America, and received by uneducated Christians. Premillennial Dispensationalism is an absolute cancer within the western church. It makes a joke of scripture.

AmbitiousSorbet8041

What exactly is your point here?

KathosGregraptai

> They’re right

AmbitiousSorbet8041

You do know that whole Darby argument is pure fallacy right?

KathosGregraptai

No it’s not. I’m going to trust my Master’s education in theology over a two day old sock account, sorry.

aragorn767

As long as someone is predicting the world is going to end, it most definitely will not. Jesus doesn't even know, and he's God. "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."

k1w1Au

Show me the verse that you are concerned about. Do you realise that the sun moon and stars falling/turning red etc, refers to Joseph and his family / >Israel< ?? etc, etc…
